I like how they called "Rockin' Leprechauns" "Come Back to Rock n Roll" instead. I guess they thought that was a more dignified title.
Someone should release this! It is one million times aweosomer than the "Modern Lovers Precise Order" live thing which is the only live Richman album that I have.

In addition to the wonderful performance quality this is also a beautifully filmed video. The sepia tone is perfect and it is well edited. So what language are the captions in? Is that Catalan?

Yep, that's Catalan, and the logo is from one of TV3's channels

where did you get this? Is this commercially available? Can you buy it on dvd?
I really love it when he doesn't play guitar and just dances and sings. You can tell in sets when he is playing the guitar he always ends up putting it down periodically and dancing anyway. You shouldn't imprison the life force that is Jonathan Richman behind a guitar. (except when he is writing the songs that is)

Songs about dinosaurs, leprechauns and insects?
    Ok JR!
    Whatever you say.
    He’s a real character!
    He’s a decent Sax 🎷player.
    And he’s so earnest.
But I don’t like these songs.
I only like the Modern Lovers album he did.
    I wish him well anyway.
    👏🏻🎸😎

    this is 1987, not 84

    •  4 года назад +1

      '86 no?

@ Could have been both '86 and '87, but definitely not '84. 1984/85 was all in support of the Jonathan Sings and Rockin and Romance albums and the '84/early '85 tours mostly featured a bigger band (Ellie Marshall, Beth Harrington, Michael Guardabascio etc.) who played on those albums.
