POPOYO NICARAGUA // FAMILY TRAVEL VLOG //Quad tour// It's worth the visit!!

The Popoyo surf zone is located on the southwest coast of Nicaragua. It gained its name from the famous point break of Popoyo since the 2015 annual ISA (International Surfing Association) contest. There are plenty of surf spots to choose from up and down the coast in the zone.
There's a lot of natural beauty that you just can't miss on your next trip to Nicaragua. We were lucky to spend a few days exploring this little surf town over New years.
One popular Nicaraguan tradition with locals and foreigners alike is making a scarecrow like manneqin to represent burning the old year (Los Muñecos de Año Viejo). We saw many of these out front of shops and locals homes.The mannequin is burned at midnight on New Year’s Eve as a symbol of saying good bye to the old year and everything that happened.It’s a way of clearing the slate, making the bad go away and at the same time blessing the New Year.
