Hi Guys. I see a lot of discussions on this post on where this dance originated from. Yes, it is obvious that this is a Georgian dance. However, one of the missions of Fire of Anatolia is to bring all the dances performed in various parts of Turkey together so there is no stealing here. I have %100 Georgian roots and I am a proud Turkish citizen. There are almost 1.5 millions of Georgians living in Turkey like myself. Our forefathers brought their culture to Turkey. So this dance represents us, the Georgians of Turkey and I cherish every second of it. PS: 1.5 millions of people is not a small number...
no KADIR i grew up with one of these boys families. his sister is my nephews godmother. THEY ARE ONE HUNDRED GEORGIANS WHO WERE BORN IN GEORGIA AND GREW UP IN GEORGIA. HE IS FROM CITY CALLED TKIBULI. i know this from fact because till this day i keep in touch with the family and his sister NATIA goes to turkey every summer and dances with them. they are all georgian boys grew up in georgia.
tako gogoxia Georgian muslims spread around many parts of Turkey after their deportation from their homeland. So, where do we base(Düzce) is unfortunately has never been any part of Georgia in history.
no you who live in Turkey are Moshians - Southern Qarthu (Georgian) tribes. You have your own folklore that is very different from our folklore and culture. This is Iberian (Eastern Georgian tribes) style, northern Iberians. Nobody conqueres Mountain Iberians. Not Turks also. Of course we are all Georgians, we are Qarthus but we are very different from each other by our history culture and dances too. So maybe Its Georgian but not Moshian ( Georgians of Turkey). Anyway Iberian-Moshian brotherhood, Qarthu pride for ever.
why you people are saying that guys are Turkish? i am a Georgian and i here them saying Georgian words and it is obvious that they are Georgian and no doubt that it is Georgian dance! i will respect even if they are Turkish guys, dancing with such emotions! but no one can dance Georgian dance but Georgians with such mimics! good job guys!
Well, I actually watched that dance from those dancers a week ago in Sofia. And they were Turkish. So do respect them because I did. I have watched Sukhishvili ... Amazing! But people should accept, as I said before, that in this part of the world we do have similarities.
Greta Branikova as Georgian, I can recognise my people anywhere - from gestures, expressions, moves. I don't know who did you see in Sofia, but this particular dancers, even if they were not screaming out Georgian words, I am 200% sure are Georgians.
These skills do not come in 2 or 3 years. Most of Georgian dancers are taught from childhood. Its hours and hours, years and years of training. Don't you see? It's like a ballet. And it actually is called "Georgian Ballet". That is why the only place that can teach this - is Georgia.
Greta Branikova No way! you are wrong! This is ound and only our dance, almost everyone can learn Georgian dance, but no one can dance like this exept Georgians . . . so stop them Turkish boys
Greta Branikova they are screaming "wavida!" "opaa!" "asaaa!" "midi-midi!" "kargia!" ...Georgian dancers are screaming like that, this is Georgian words and dances, too.. so i don't believe they are someone elese ;)
GEORGIA BRAVO !!!!!!! during the dunce they say "cavida" means LET'S GO. how come is kaukazian or armenian or something else :)))))))))))))))) THIS IS GEORGIAN DANCE BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO
Dear BROTHERS, we are the sons of The SAME GOD! ! ! THANKS full of Admiration, Respect, GRATITUDE ~ BLESSINGS ! better~world, you're making us such a Wonderful Day TODAY
Very thanks for clearing the doubt and I'm a fan of georgian dance too so I was in doubt too however I'll be glad if you help with finding more downloadable videos Very appreciated Mohammad From Iran
I am a Turk.My father's side is pure Georgian, however they are muslim Georgians who imigrated to Turkey in 1800's during the war between Russia and Ottoman empire. But we still consider ourselves Turks.Yes this dance had Georgian figures etc. but we call these dances in Turkey as "Caucasian Dances", which are also danced by Turks who live close to Georgian border. It is pointless to discuss whether it is Georgian or Turkish, just enjoy the show.
Minute 22 - to all of you who say that no one but Georgians can dance like this ... God, people, just relax and enjoy some art ... Peace! Огънят на Анадола, Anadolu Ateşi, Fire Of Anatolia, 08.12.2013 Sofia
it is Georgian Classic folklore dance as we call it here in Georgia, all it was designed and choreographed by Sukhishvilis (the famous and legendary family of choreographers) and the dancers are also Georgians by the way. 2:30 they say Georgian words, like "tsavida" which can be translated as "let's go" but it seems and looks amazing under the Anatolian thematic. Do not mix this dance with Caucasian folklore, they are different, Caucasian Folklore was the basis of these dances but all it became Classic only in Georgia
I am a turk, but my father is Georgian descent muslim. So I am ethnically 50% Georgian descent, but I am a Turk. Due to vast borders of Ottoman empire, these cultures are mixed. So no need to argue. Both Caucasian Turks and Georgians dance this dance..
Dancers are Georgians and the dance is Georgian, Caucasian, why you people argue about the thing that is clear 100 % ? just enjoy it if you like the show :)

and if you wanna proof find the video on u tube when these boys went to turkey got talant show as GEORGIAN dancers. thats how actually they started in turkey their cariers. and i know 3 guys one is from tkibuli, one is from tbilisi, one is from zugdidi if i remember it correct about 3rd one:)))) they are 100% georgians
you do not want to understand. here in turkey a lot of people from Kavkaz: georgian, azeri, cherkes, and ........ So that dans is kavkaz dance. and i think that is not bad if people want to dance like this
Yes they are georgians... and I am A turk.. Soo my wife is Georgian.. We have mixed culture.. soo stop fighting each other. just enjoy with the art.. Turks And Georgians are brothers....

The dancers arent turks...you can tell these guys are Georgians. They look exactly like Georgians, not turks and they cheer in the Georgian way. This is 100% a Georgian dance with Georgian dancers. Why do the turks want to take credit for other people's culture and art? Isn't it bad enough that they used to kidnap Georgian women long ago to make their race whiter? Also, the owner of this video needs to change the title because it only shows how ignorant he/she is.
Ah,great, dance fight.Just to make things a bit right, the dancers on stage ARE georgian,I fucking know it because my friend use to be a dancer there. There was one time I had a change to watch the rehearse these and yes, they are, there was even a translater BUT there were also turkish dancer who learned this dance,in case if one of them got sick/etc.So yeah...
