My little family and I moved to TC back in the mid 90's. The reason we moved here, is because it had that little 'country' feel to it. Where the Grandscape (which now has a ferris wheel!!) and Nebraska Furniture Mart is, was just an open field with horses and cattle!! It still blows my mind to see just how big my little 'City By The Lake' has gotten! Though it's keeps growing, I still enjoy living here! It really is a great place to raise a family. I did!!
@@VIPRealty ...... Indeed!! My backyard faces the Five Star. My son and his friends used to play football there when it was an empty field! Also, watching the fireworks at the Five Star in the alley is a great bonus!!
This is a really good location as it’s literally right next to Plano/Frisco. I use to live in the Colony back when I first moved here in 2011. Grand scape was nothing but a field lol!

Ah man......... this video is making me feel old. I clearly remember what it looked like before it started blowing up. Where “Grandscape” is, there was NOTHING!!! I remember what it looked like BEFORE THE WALMART ON 121. Hell, I remember 121 before it grew and eventually turned into a “Toll Road.” If you wanted to get to Carrollton from here there was only a small road the went through fields and trees. Prior to the Walmart on 121 the original was BEFORE Walmart started getting into “Superstores.” It was smaller. In fact where it once was is now a “Big Lots!” The grocery stores were Winn Dixie, Albertsons, Brookshire’s and a Food Lion! Actually when the Food Lion closed the city bought the property and turned it into City Hall and the public library.

I have several of our Be Elite Basketball players that go to The Colony high school and they love it. Saying that, I don't believe it's one of the best ISDs in DFW.
the only downside of the colony texas is their school system my brother took his own life due to bullying and the school system did nothing when he called out for help so he ended his life. RIP Montana Jay Lance Stewarts Creek Elementary Born March 2nd 2000 Died January 2010
Moved to Texas from KCMO in 2010 and knew all about NFM. That place makes you feel like you need a new home.😊

Wife and I just stayed here last year for a week! Very nice area. As well as close to Frisco, Plano, not too far from Fort Worth as well!

Id recommend Frisco without question. Unless placing your kids in private school is an option.
Irving sucks, Frisco is better. I’m a North Texas resident and I’m telling ya.
