This should be the future for all major cities. The time saved, relatively low price (compared to traditional delivery trucks), and lower maintenance costs should more than make up for the sacrifices in size.
It is already happening in my country. Many cities have an environmental zone with ever stricter entry requirements, so delivery trucks are almost non existent in city centers, with the exception of supply of shops. Mail and package delivery were the first and started about 10 years ago with electric mini cars, ebikes etc. Mail delivery was always done (as long as I can remember and I’m 62) with regular bicycles with panniers, on the countryside they delivered with bicycles, mopeds or vans. Even electronic appliances like washing machines, tv’s and refrigerators are delivered by cargo ebike or electric mini cars in some cities.
Japan had/has a similar concept they call kei cars, trucks, vans, etc. Basically a "kei" vehicle is required to be under a certain size and can only have a certain size engine.
That thing is sick. Especially when you consider that with gas and insurance savings you can have a bunch of those for every one van or truck you would have had otherwise
They should try making it tandem but side by side or with a passenger in the back like those bicycle taxis. Weatherproofing will be a must in Northern cities. I live in a more rural setting I wonder if these would be better than a golf cart.
I couldn’t help but notice how many cyclists passed you guys in that parking protected bike lane. Nice visual proof that if you provide comfortable biking infrastructure, people will use it.
@@ImpreccablePonyI wish New York had some foresight to put all the parking underground to keep the streets more available for community spaces and what not. Salt Lake City has done this. Comparatively, SLC is so much smaller and wayyyy less densely populated, but the streets downtown are so clean and open. (They also don’t have garbage bags everywhere).

Dude, seriously I would use that as a bike RV w/ a bunk bed style bed and a small sitting area w/ a fold up desk inside.... That would be fkn SIIIICK, I really really really like that, I could turn that into so many different things. I'd have to have a quick mount system for inside so I could attach and remove supports for heavy loads or baskets and shelving and it even looks like there's a possibility of mounting stuff to the roof too.... Definitely be looking into solar panels and an extra battery so I could charge a few as I road along. Now I'm curious if they have one of the boxes that opens in the back... That would be better for an outdoorsy camper thing and if it folded up then you could hang tenting off it and extend the footprint. 😱😍😍❤️❤️❤️

Back seat cut away to out in a fold out cot instead of basket. Made the front seat removable and replaces with a telescoping flag pole that can have a bug net and then tipi tarp set atop it….
I like this vehicle because it gives delivery drivers some exercise usually on cars and vans you do 8 hours shift in a day work you won’t get any exercise.
I've been working at a body shop for a bit now and extra tips I learned was if you're painting the door, it's better to take off the mirror and belt molding (the trim at the bottom of the window) for a better paint job in the end. The mirror can get in the way, and if you're unlucky, the clear coat could stick in that gap between the door and the belt molding.
When i did Amazon we had those very big vans for maybe 8-12 50lbs bags. Plus about 5-10 oversized boxes. So maybe about 4-600lbs. Very light. A bag would only be 1/8th full.
I dig it, especially for the conversion aspect of living in it and it's environmentally friendly, would definitely add a bigger motor and upgrade the other components 🙂👍🏾
Great dude, the thing looks good, developing it would be tricky due to economic constraints but man, if you had financial freedom you’d have a blast improving & adding all sorts of features on that🤘
This is better than trucks and vans, which often can’t pull over without double parking or blocking the roadway. These bikes, on the other hand don’t have any issues like that. Also, while they have a lower cargo capacity, it means more jobs will be open for those who want to make decent money on the side.
That is pretty neat. I was wondering about the weather, I don’t think it would be good in winter because of the open floor and I assume that water gets splashed inside. One plus is that you are much more visible that on just a bike. Really cool vehicle though.

So, a golf cart. But 4x more expensive I bet, due to the styling and market segment. On the other hand, it's tiny! Imagine if all the delivery trucks for local businesses in cities use these!
