Hey Ray I agree with you 100 percent there is not any other current QB in the league I want leading our Rams. I swear when Saquan ran that TD in I thought we were done. But Matt(and the guys) got that quick TD then we got the ball again. I told my buddy “Matt Stafford Got the ball Matt Stafford got the ball” but it didn’t happen. But give me Matt on a game winning drive anytime. I’m a diehard Rams fan from Georgia plus I’m a Bulldog fan so Matt’s my Guy. I hope he stays GO RAMS
Good analysis. If it’s between Kupp and Stafford, it’s a no-brainer to pay Stafford. There are gonna be some sad moments as the Rams make the needed cuts and other moves for next season, but the result will be an even more formidable team, assuming Stafford’s ability stays at a high level. Love that the Rams are cutting to the chase now with the negotiations so that the team’s veteran core - and the tactical approach on both sides of the ball - will be set well before next season. As for the snubs - I’m a former journalist: East Coast bias is a real thing.
If there aren't any other QB at his caliber out there, and the QB market dictates the pay, we have to pay him. Cheap means Cheap though. Look at Prescott... and he's not even same level as Stafford.
I think you guys read into McVay's comments completely wrong. I got the impression that McVay wants to get a deal done as soon as possible because he knows how much Stafford DOES elevate this team. No one else currently available is going to run this offense better, plain and simple
@paultheseafoodchef9399 doesn't make sense to go to the Vikings Jets or Browns since their QBs all got pummeled. After watching the Rams defense sack Hurtz 7 times including a safety, I sincerely doubt Stafford wants to play against the Rams next year . The Rams are closer to the Superbowl than any of those teams listed.
