Do you have regular 2 1/16 size snooker balls too? It'd make the pockets easier, but would give you more space on the table. I've often wondered if it's also possible to make some little pocket pieces that could be slipped into pool table pockets to narrow them and round them for snooker. That might be a cool youtube project.
Strange because whilst the pockets are far more forgiving, the tricky thing is the limited space to use. I think that’s a very good clearance either way mate. Bravo.
Yes it is. People don't understand how hard it is to consistently get position when going back and forth between the reds and the black. On a ten foot snooker table my high break was only in the 30s to 40s (4 or 5 reds and blacks). I've recently moved to Siem Reap Cambodia, and there are many snooker clubs in town. They all have 12 foot tables, which takes the difficulty to a whole other level.
Even if this type of break is easier than on a real snooker table, it remains a very difficult exercise : bravo for this beautiful mastery of the table!!!!
Easier...??? It's not even close. There have only been 206 maximum breaks in snooker in the entire history of the game, and only 35 players in history have ever had more than one in their career.... it isn't just hard it is close to impossible. Doing it on the kids table might take me a few attempts but it is very easy in comparison to a proper table. Interesting to note that your run would have been over immediately on your 1st shot after the opening break out on a real snooker table if you tried to draw the cue ball with a shot down the rail like that (at 00:36), but you could have definitely played that red in the side, and settled for a lower score (and continued your run at least). I'm not suggesting it's a skill issue, but it's genuinely not feasible to play a shot down the rail like that with pace if the pocket facing is round (and you 100% cannot cheat the pocket in this case).

Never seen a break off like that though, where just that 1 red pops out like that... amazing... Still very hard getting a 147 on this small table, so huge accomplishment, only plus is pockets are so huge gives you more opportunities..
it's interesting how difficult it still is to do a 147 on a pool table vs a snooker table. A century would be much easier because you have so many options for colours, but if you're doing a 147 that means that any reds getting tied up to any other colours needs to be only broken out with the black with a lot of traffic, or you have to play red and break out the cluster while still getting position on the black.
Back in college I used to bring my snooker set (pool sized balls) to the student lounge and we would play snooker on an 8 foot table 😂 I would always do a 10 red rack so the table wouldn't be so crowded

Can I ask you a questions or maybe for a new video idea ? Markings on a pool table cloth..which do you prefer and what's the reason for them? Of course the break shot dot I understand but other markings on tables..I see so many differences in tournaments..thank you so much 🤝
A first maximum recorded should always be without cuts so you can't get accused of cheating ;) then next 147 breaks can be with cuts as its already proven that you can do it :D You wouldnt be the person to cheat I feel, but remember that for future "first time achievements" . Besides that, since you actually made the bulk colours tougher as you placed them on the breakline ( they are not that far up on the 12ft tables) its actually still a good shot from brown to blue, where it usually goes wrong. So good break :) Look it up regarding the small colours. brown is not on the diagonal between corner and middlepocket. Tablefitters have been scolded for doing this drawing wrong :D and it will make splits from brown into the pack possible, where this setup almost makes that angle impossible or really tough. Love the camera quality and setup.
@Sharivari nice work! As a follow up: how difficult do you think a 147 on a full size snooker table is, in terms of a 9ball equivalent? Obviously it's 36 pots, but I think most of us pool players would agree it's harder than breaking and running 4 racks (36 balls) in a row. You can find the ratios online, but they don't line up with traditional pool marks, for instance, he has the bottom 3 on the head string, when they should actually be slightly lower, so best to just adjust as needed, blue in middle, bottoms on the head string in the middle 3rd, red spotted on spot, pink touching top red, black 1/2 between bottom red and foot rail

If that's okay, then where outside of the triangle does the red need to be placed?
@ Were this on a real snooker table this would be considered unofficial 147 as it’s not in a match and is more akin to a line up/ practice break. Still very impressive though, but in a match it’s significantly harder as you play safety shots
Nice🎉
Thanks!
Are the used balls 57mm ? Exiting to try this myself..just have to find the coloured balls 🤔 nice video and great achievement 💪
Yes they are: amzn.to/4fOoaIj
well done! next challenge, a 147 in 5 minutes like Ronnie O !
Great vid, very skilled! :)
I'd be interested to know what your highest break is on a full sized snooker table?
@@cazmaj Thank you! My highest break is a 96.
@@Sharivari
Wow, that is fantastic!
Thanks for replying, wishing you the best with everything! Love your channel! :)
Really impressive - got a like 'n' sub out of me. Was this the first time you achieved this? If not how close had you previously come? Good job
Thanks! Tried it a couple of months ago for an hour. Closest I got there was to the last red.
Hopefully one day you record yourself playing on a Snooker table if the pool halls there have them

Great video and love the idea! I was disappointed you didn't do a cannon on that 1st Black and you didn't try the Trump draw for the 3 rail shape on the last black. Still glad you got the 147 though! Who is your favorite Snooker player? Alex Higgins and O'Sullivan are almost a tie for me.
Haha, awesome, man. I've been an O'Sullivan fan since I was a little kid watching him on TV.
@@Sharivari Thanks for responding keep up the great content! Good luck with snooker!
Imagine if there were 12 foot pool tables, which you could then play snooker on with these pool balls. That would be great
GENIO!!!
Pocket sizes are different from a snooker table making it easier.
12:02 The green looks very off but still got in
What shaft are you using?
Sharivari should go into Snooker some day I'd love to see it
That's me playing Snooker from four years ago: ruclips.net/video/NAS1BiHq0pU/видео.htmlsi=8r_cbb7FKhSxlxlO
@@Sharivari OK thanks
I have standard set of snooker balls I use on my 8ft table do u think the smaller balls would make it easier or harder?
Easier, pockets are even bigger then.
Do you have measurments for where you put the colored balls?
You can find the ratios online, but they don't line up with traditional pool marks, for instance, he has the bottom 3 on the head string, when they should actually be slightly lower, so best to just adjust as needed, blue in middle, bottoms on the head string in the middle 3rd, red spotted on spot, pink touching top red, black 1/2 between bottom red and foot rail
What size are these snooker balls? Snooker size or pool size?
Pool ball sized.
Can you share a link where to get the snooker balls?
amzn.to/4fOoaIj
what set of pool balls is this though? Cue ball is aramith i see but the rest?
cue ball is actually Dyna sphere
Cue ball is from Dynaspheres and the Snooker set is from Aramith.
Where did you buy a snooker set of ball with the size of pool balls?
Here: amzn.to/4fOoaIj
What chalk do you use ? Is it the taom pyro or v10
KAMUI Roku.
A form of snooker i could actually play😂
😂
any chance you can link the ball set you used?
Aramith makes a 2.25 inch snooker set, only issue I have is even on a 9 15 reds seems like too many, it's too crowded, generally only play with 10

What kind of balls are those? Are they regular snooker balls or billiard size snooker balls?
The are billiard size snooker balls: amzn.to/4fOoaIj
Nicely don3
I was wondering what kind of wireless mic that you use to record you videos!
