The way the "quality" of a 147 seems to be critiqued is slightly strange. The first 147 shown here was "standard" in that there weren't that many spectacular or difficult shots to be made. But, the reason for that is down to Trump's absolute mastery of cue ball control. If someone's control was way messier, but they still made every shot for the 147 from tricky angles, it seems the general consensus is that that would be a "better" or "more entertaining" 147. I personally disagree with that, but I seem to be in the minority there.

These are decent 147 by Trump but Mark Selby 147 in the WSC 2023 was amazing under pressure. Most notably was O'Sullivan in the Welsh open final my favourite probably the best ever for a snooker fan. The first one showed in this video, i remember watching live O'Sullivan did not even shake Trumps hand to congratulate him. Wonder what O'Sullivan thought of it?
"The Best" in snooker history?? C'mon!! No reds against the rail, no long pots, no recovery blue, no 3+ cushion setups. This was a well-controlled, well-deserved maxi executed by a world champion, but there wasn't anything extraordinary about, IMHO.
And every one in the building celebrated Osullivans great achievement no one just sat there like a spoilt child and ignored another players success like Osullivan did to Trump.
