Aggys path through this game is nuts. I cant believe he found his way to the Frenzy area before getting the map to the dragon zone. And now that he thinks theyre connected I wouldn't be surprised if Bayle is the last boss he finds.
Watching these playthoughs from people has shown me that my route was really weird as well. The first main boss I came across was Bayle, because I wanted to hold off on entering anything that looked like a legacy dungeon. The first main story boss I beat, though, was Rellana. Poor Dancing Lion crumpled under the weight of five or six scadu levels. I wish I had more than one attempt with him.
@@michaelcreel6522dancing lion isn’t great, he’s quite easy to dodge and not in a good way. He also has one phase where it’s just not possible to reliably punish him which I find to be very annoying. Him and Romina are probably the weakest fight in the dlc. Btw there’s another dancing lion in ancient ruin of rauh so you can do that one
@@VForte112figured out that if you strafe in one direction and dodge in the other the hit box is more consistent. Kinda like tricking a bull that’s charging or something.

@@hoang2312 nah man thats some job interview level bs, "DLCs biggest weakness is its too nice" 😂 Nah but serious: its kinda always been that way. Look at Artorias/Manus from DS1, Gael/Midir from DS3. Probably some in DS2, but even though i think its underrated, i no nothing about the lore so idk. They are extremely powerful lorewise. And i think thats fair, in ER too, because they genuinely are more powerful from a gameplay standpoint, you just get your ass kicked by FromSoft DLCs so why shouldnt these enemies be powerful in the lore aswell?
@@VForte112 honestly beside the charge i havent really had any hitbox issues with him, and the charge is just somewhat precise on the timing but its pretty consistent after you get it down. Even though i love Messmer in general, i think his delayed thrust is the one attack with the weirdest hitbox in the DLC imo. Its just thicker as it looks, and it lingers a little bit (after the thrust is done he stands there with the spear extended, and if you touch the spear, even from the side, you get hit). Also it just starts earlier than youd think, while the spear is still on the ground. Its still consistently dodgeable, it just looks different than it feels for me

@@frazer4737 i mean thats cool, but basically that means that the only thing you can get from them has nothing to do with the sneaking mechanic, so they might not be pointless but the sneaking mechanic is. Wouldve prefered if at least one of those paths lead to some type of dungeon or something

I was in pain because I knew he could have squeezed so much more damage out of it compared to the normal perfume bottle. He basically has the perfect build for it save for the points in arcane.
For anyone who didn’t already know you can actually parry the winter lanterns and they have relatively low health. The first one I think also gives a talisman for increasing attack with frenzy in vicinity.
I mean, in real life we use grenades to fight fires. It's not THAT bizzare. The bigger problem is that it's annoying as hell to do. The ones with breakable feat are fairly easy with the right setup*. The basketball ones suck ass. * Giant Crusher with Cragblade Stance tear Charge Attack tear and talisman Two handed talisman Firedrake +3 talisman They don't even survive to a second knockdown.
@@Sekiro_lover specifically 3 hefty furnace pots into their top will kill them, if you have the recipe. The other hefty fire pots will do as well but don't do as much damage iirc

Read the hidden wall and I hit the wall and was shocked the one time I planned not to do it, it was in fact real. Still waiting for the 1 rogue mimic chest but I guess they really didn't add proper mimics in ER. 5:32:57 shot him down to 1 hit from death with a bow but got curious how he functioned so I let him live. He didn't shoot me a single time, just continued turning towards me and looking me dead in the face, in the end I had to put him down and get my reward, good fella.
I can't tell if Aggy is just very good at this game, or if I am trash at this game, but damn I live watching him relatively breeze through bosses that took me 6+ hours.

For me i had to semi rush through. It probably wouldve taken me 4 days with like 8 hour sessions. But im homeless so i had to try to do it in 2 to 3 maximum. Spent basically a 20 hour session adter a 7 hour the day before. Spending tomorrow doing ng+ same character to get my missed questlines.. then im back to backpacking across america to somewhere warm for the winter.

very similar to me. I, for some reason, completely missed the path leading to the dragon peaks. Bayle was my last boss outside PCR.
Man the remembrance bosses in this DLC have a much higher quality standard than in the base game, and those werent bad by a long shot

I only encountered one of the guys....are the literally invincible and just need to be avoided?

One of em drops a talisman and no they are not. If you parry their oneshot attack they become killable.

SO interesting to see how different everyone's paths are when playing Elden Ring. My journey was very different to how Aggy and Parky has played it.
