This is something I need to look at for my character... Anyone who plays Ram has literally zero excuse for getting backthrown in the corner, but it still happens sometimes because I put myself in a situation that allows it.
I didn't know it was 5f offhand but hit/blockstun throw invul been in every mainline GG, and is pretty important for strike/throw characters. Sort of surprising he didn't know about it in xrd, or didn't translate it to strive
Heavy throw range is so annoying. I have to pay extra special attention to my spacing for my set ups or change how I do pressure completely. But common, they need it. Not like heavys have the most life in the game and reversals, rediculous backdashes and get 50% meter every round for just getting their ass kicked. Oh wait...
the 5f grab invuln is weird, i was testing oki option midscreen off of a pot buster with different wake up options, dp obviously gets busted, found out that throw also gets bust if i time/space correctly, and then i tested a 5f button, i don't know why, but with correct timing it was being beat consistently by pot buster, does the command grab have priority on the same frame by any chance? because im pretty sure most of the time i wasn't spaced out, i went out of my way to be in the button's way
throw gets busted because buster has throw invuln until recovery, and for the 5f button you are just straight up evading the button somehow because I play sol and 2P, 5P, 5K, 2K all beat buster.
This is why I love comparing BlazBlue to Guilty Gear; The biggest difference I can see, is that you cannot throw while in blockstun or hitstun in Strive, and in BlazBlue you can, but the tech window is very large, so it's the defending player's fault (usually) for not teching that throw! And before you come at me with the whole "but Stagger" argument, stagger is one specific situation, only on counter hit, and only on grounded throws. Also, Hotashi, if I were to play you or NBNHMR, would you give me advice on how to Nago better?
nah bro don't teach em more shenanigans nago's already annoying to defend against :,( if you see this what do you think i should do to mess with nago when i'm too pressured i start attempting fd ib to push them back(i generally get hit by a low or smt D:)
Guy in chat going 'Marth grabbed' is absolutely right on the money.
Also Hotashi learning stuff Pot players do from start is pretty funny.
First thing I thought of watching the tourney.
"is there throw invuln on blockstun?"
literally like the second thing you learn as a pot main

Mister editor really put in the work on that opening. Nice job!
Wait did hotashi not know about the 5F grab invuln on blockstun? Cannot relate as a Potemkin plyer

i thought the numbers were different
Not me playing strive for a year and a half like it's +R (9 frames invul on wakeup, 6 after hitstun, 5 blockstun)
the majin obama sound clip lmfao
Love seeing these live. Love the knowledge and high level mindset
Das me, I'm backthrow incident
Very nice
I bet you can OS after the 6P cS to catch all kinds of stuff

sounds like you get skill issued alot. ggs

I’m not hotashi but structure your pressure is the best advice I can give for Nago.
not neither but space and delay your c.S oki, beats throw and reversal attempts. if they start mashing, it's your win.
tbf there are times when you straight up dont want to break the throw(tager has some gimmicks like that)
SLIDE HEAD SLIDE HEAD SLIDE HEAD SLIDE HEAD SLIDE HEAD SLIDE HEAD SLIDE HEAD SLIDE HEAD
10 minutes in and I just noticed the goku statues lmao
I love nago because he gives me so many opportunities to back throw
I know it's less reward, but if you don't want to deal with upback/bd/throw after bringing them down with c.s couldn't you just do 2k?
it leads into 6K and 2D which are very negative, even though 2K is only -1, FD or aggression can end your turn
120k pixel grab
It can be avoided?
you are in tampa?
worse than the Shibuya Incident

FD will protect you from this fairly reliably
@@Hotashi so just fd instead of ib alright thanks :D
I need to figure out how to get nago off me in cromer pressure and how to walk back to avoid throw after KD the oopeont
Big Quantum fan
Nice video!
very cool.
thank you sensei! You always have good insight. Keep up the great work. 50k subs incoming!
