I agree, nothingness is a luxary, and the choice to choose nothingness is a luxary.
I chose to quit my corporate job, and stay at home to take care of my toddler a few years back. Every kid is different, and mine needed me full time, he still does. Personal priorities are different based on each one of our situation and we should respect that about each other.
Over time I got quite settled in the homemaking phase of my life, and started enjoying it, and realized it had enhanced the quality of life and relationship for my entire family. I have personally grown so much over the years, although I don't have a stamped designation or a salary letter to show that, and it doesn't bothers me a bit. Funny, that it does bother many other people in the society, thinking what do you do all day? why can't you do this/that, as if homemaking is not a full time job, because I am not employed under a registered organization.
I am content in my space and very proud of the role I chose in that phase of my life. It's a luxary I had the option of choosing a stay at home mom's role.
I totally relate with you. Being a homemaker is often not given the amount of weightage it deserves. There was this era when women were struggling to be given the freedom to work outside and now in this era I feel we are struggling with the choice to stay at home and be a home maker without being judged for it. How ironic right..I know that women are definitely capable of handling both work and home simultaneously, no questioning that but those who choose to be at home full time are giving their everything to it. It isn't a side job anymore or a secondary activity of their life...It is their life..this gets worse if you don't have kids yet and still choose to be at home..ask me 🤣 and oh " what do you do all day?" lol totally get it !!

So glad you enjoyed the video, #simplelivingwisethinking..hehehe we think alike it seems..so the wooden box link is below although it is actually a tea bag box that I turned into a spice box since I wanted something that could accommodate a lot of spices in one shot- I lined the base with some brown paper and then put spices in it, you know just incase..but later I got rid of that paper too..mine doesn't have removable dividers but I don't think that's a problem for me...amzn.to/3iAsgIB , amzn.to/3A6sJZ6 , amzn.to/3iAsnE1 ..these are some similar options

Hi Reena, thanks for asking.. the table was in our apartment when we moved in !! It is most likely from a local german store..But you can find similar options at Ikea ..Hope this helps

oh yes absolutely !! ok this is actually just a tea bag organiser. It wasn't a spice box originally, since I wanted something deep with larger sections that could hold more masala in one shot I chose this one. I liked the overall effect and thought of giving it a try.
