Dude you have helped me so much when it comes to vocals. I started when I was 13 and I was self taught because back in 08 and 09 you couldn't go on RUclips to watch and learn how to do vocals back then. I stopped doing vocals when I was 21 because my wife didn't care for this type of music. So now I'm 30 and trying to get my vocals back and you have helped me so much. Thank you for doing what you do to help us get where we need to be when it comes to vocals.🤘🤘🤘

Super exciting that source-filter theory is getting picked up more. It's been a concept in pedagogy for years, but applying it to harsh vocals in particular makes a ton of sense.

Dude I love your content. I really would like to take your lessons some day and work out of any bad habits I have being self taught

Not to plug another vocal coach here, but I took the Will Ramos vocal course that this experiment led into, and they had a very deep dive into source/filter theory. I totally agree that this is an awesome approach to gaining a greater understanding of the mechanics and how to execute various techniques safely. I had 4 years under my belt prior to approaching it this way, and it did help me level up quite a bit over the last year. I'm still no expert. Always looking for new things to incorporate into my style. I don't think that will ever change, no matter how far I am in this journey
