So, in effect every BMW engine with Valvetronic has what equals ITB, since air flow to each cylinder is controlled by the valve lift on each cylinder. This highly advanced technology replaces the conventional throttle butterfly with a electrical mechanism that controls the amount of lift of the individual intake valves on each cylinder.
