I find myself occasionally returning to this channel to just listen a little more. Sometimes hours go by, and I somehow get this inner peace of mind where all my troubles and deficiencies aren't really so important anymore, because the music is just flowing and everything is just great lol. I don't know if you read all comments, but if you do read this one, I want you to know that your music makes a difference. Thanks for just existing, literally. I really admire how you have developed your talent. It must have taken a lot of patience, hard work and commitment but most importantly interest and care for what you're doing, and that's perhaps what I admire the most. Sometimes when I feel like I've lost hope in playing guitar, I watch your videos and I get this massive inspiration and suddenly I remember 'oh yeah, this is how good I want to be' and I continue playing. So yeah, thanks from a random stranger. I hope you continue to develop this talent of yours (mostly so that I can hear more ;P). Should you one day lose everything (which you most likely won't, but in any case), this is one of the things that will still remain and always will, and to be honest that's a pretty neat thought. You should be proud of it.
+Josefine J I do read them all, Josefine, and the time you and others have taken to reach out is humbling and a huge inspiration. Please do keep coming back, there will always be new content, and wishing you the best of luck with everything, especially your guitar/music experience :)
+Josefine J Comment of the year, everything I've ever wanted to say on this channel but couldn't find the words. I too am inspired to play the guitar everytime I come here. This is the best channel on youtube.
As an aspiring finger style and percussive guitarist myself this is refreshing to hear...You create an awesome soundscape that steps out of the typical bounds of this style.
I can feel it on the air...there's a storm coming... I can smell it on the ground, I can sence it on my bones...the lightning. My soul is tremplin, my heart is shakin...the storm. The water falls into small drops...the rain. My heart shouts, my soul is freed...This is MY storm!
The reason I love this music so much is that every song creates a unique mental image. For example, when I listen to this I see somebody running through a city in rain and fog.
not sure if anyone will see this,One of the best guitar pieces I have heard in so long. I love the way he does percussions on the strings, only one I ever saw do it better, Carlos Montoya, 1970
Thomas, thanks so much for checking out my music The echo effect is something i use to recreate my favorite playing environment, which is a large, empty room, or cement stairwell. Getting a program like Logic Pro allowed me to set up a mic and put on some headphones and create in that space, so that one adjustment was a big step for me :)
I don't know what it is about your music, it just speaks to me. Ignites my imagination, lets my mind really wander. For example, with this one I imagine two long time friends, brothers even, having one last exchange before they square off, leaving one survivor.
When I despair of what humanity has done, I watch artists like you and feel restored in my belief that we can make beauty. Thanks. and could you would you do a solo of Mediterranean Sundance? I am not a musician so apologies if it's a stupid question.
Tunings are made according to a certain chord shape or scale pattern the player wants to base the song around. This is why guitar is so amazing, you don't have to stick to standard tuning /drop D to get the sound you want.
The movements of the hands do look like a work of art in this video and seeing them contributes so much to the melody perception! And it is very interesting, too =) Thank you!
It's basic/intermediate musical theory. It takes practice and know how, you know? You eventually learn what notes work in harmony with others. Like in a G chord in standard tuning, all the notes played work with one another. So now, tune your guitar to those notes and when you strum open, it will be a G chord. Of course, you can change strings and stuff to give it a different sound. It's really hard to explain though because I am just a beginner with theory.
I found your channel roughly 1 hour ago. The first song I listened to was 'Dark Star', never before have I ever felt quite like this. I myself am a pianist who is trying to branch out and learn other instruments, the most readably available being a guitar, like I said I have never felt quite like this before, I am almost getting 'lost in the music' so to speak. As I listen to each track I continue to admire you even more. I love the darker style of you music, it's something that when I heard it made me think of my own style of play on piano, which is rather weird for me, because I am entirely self taught (through a 15 year process of trial and error) and have never really found any similar styles of play. You have become one of my heroes of the acoustic guitar. I hope you get the attention you deserve and continue to make beautiful music. I will definitely be subscribing and waiting eagerly for more.
I'm physically bending the guitar neck back and forth. Be careful when you do this. If you are anything like The Hulk, I don't think it will end well ;)
Ughh i tried to make my guitar sound like this well this is what happened: Me: Stupid guitar, now repeat that song of what the guy is playing! Guitar: NEVA! ME: RIGHT NAOO! Guitar: *Smacks me* me *dead*
i love the subtle nod to particular influences. as they're best revealed in that way.

This just fills me with joy. I must have listened to it 20 times in a row. I'd love to do an artistic study of your hands.

Your work speaks to the soul, much praise man.

omfg, that last note >
You should see if you can get any game developers to hire you! Your work would really complete a lot of the more artistically inclined video games.

You inspired me to play guitar and its considerably harder than piano!
The movements of the hands do look like a work of art in this video and seeing them contributes so much to the melody perception! And it is very interesting, too =) Thank you!

Greet music, I could listen it all day long. What kind of guitar do you have? Because I want to buy my first one and i love the sound of your songs.

So glad you found this, friend, thank you! I've been in a long process of trial and error myself :) Hope it's all going well for you!

Thanks, friend. I play Alvarez Yairi guitars, mostly. This one is a DY-50. I've had it for almost 15 years :)

The one dislike was the robot devil. He wants his hands back...
Amazing left hand stamina!
I'm physically bending the guitar neck back and forth. Be careful when you do this. If you are anything like The Hulk, I don't think it will end well ;)
Techniques here remind me Aerial Boundaries
Ah absolutely :) Hedges was and still is one of my main inspirations for guitar composition.
@squiersjonneman No worries, this song is beautiful and creative by the way!

is this inspired by john butler's "Ocean" live at federation square?
@S2ZeZoS2 Depends on quality of the build, type of wood used and in my mind strings you use along with the gauge.
Scumbag Friend: Finds him asleep, cuts his nails
Will that song be purchasable in the future?
