SOHO is a VERY interesting place. I can't imagine the loss to the city if Robert Moses had gotten his way and bulldozed it, and Greenwich Village for another expressway. 👍👍👍
I love how you start out many of these videos....with us, the viewers, facing the abstract design that the subway doors create. It's a great beginning! Loving all the work you are doing. I am learning so much about New York.
Thanks for sharing the sights and scenes of New York. I've never been there but it's nice to see what it looks like from an average Joe walking the streets of NY rather than from a tv show
The cobblestone streets are a welcome change from the norm. The first time I heard of cast iron buildings. It took artisans to construct them in the intricate designs.
Love the videos man! The building at 10:45 (corner of Broadway & Broome) with the clock on it is the E.V. Haughwout building, also known for having the worlds very first passenger elevator! Truly a special building. Just wanted to sure- keep up the great content!
I don't know why you would need more praise, but I'm praising you anyway. It's been more than 50 years since I've lived in Manhattan. I love your tours. I become familiar with bits of information and hidden areas that I was never aware of when I lived there. I'm so glad I had the New York experience when I was young and, through your videos, see the changes and newest developments I hadn't been aware of. I will watch all of your videos, and, more than once.
Action kid, Just want to say thank you for making these videos. I live in Australia and will never be able to get over to see what I think is the best city on the world. Thank you, keep up the fantastic and informative videos.
I love your videos! You know so much about NYC it’s all so interesting. Thank you for taking the time and effort into these videos, it is very much appreciated.🗽🇺🇸
Congratulations on your excellent videos. I watch a lot of "Walking" videos from different cities around the world and yours are among the best. Your voice enhances the images we see and the information you share is relevant to most people's interests. Great work.
I love these videos! I'm having a relaxing Sunday morning in Tucson, AZ! I'm originally from upstate New York! Thank you for taking the time to do this! Very cool! I'm marathoning your videos.
This is fantastic - beholding the elegance of another era, when there was time to create facades like these. The cloe in walk along that soft grey front at 16:09+ and more.
I knew a lady that you passed!! Pretty cool-my daughter and I get to visit you city often -she is a model. I don’t know if I would want to live there full time because it really seems expensive to live-but we love to visit!! I love your videos and I use them to learn my way around NYC. I also love the bits and pieces of history you tell us about different sections and buildings. I did not know that most of SOHO is cast-iron buildings…I found that really interesting. Keep the videos coming! You do an excellent job young man. Thank you from Pennsylvania .
Thank you again for another exciting NYC video. I must say I did expect more or at least some streetcafes in Soho. Please keep on your great walks on the wild side of the world.
I'm here to remember what it was like to travel to an from NJ to Chinatown and Little Italy today entirely by mass transit. What a trip today was, no traffic headaches, no parking headaches, no long tired drives. Just enjoying the sights sounds and smells haha of the city. It was great
Another great video from you! You go at just the right pace, slow enough to give us a good look at things but fast enough to fit in a lot of in one walk. And you take time to appreciate the architecture. The white building on the left at 24:41 is lovely.
Thanks, Ak. I grew up in the south Bronx. This is one of my favorite neighborhoods. Beautiful architecture, not too crowded and lots of one-of-a-kind shops all around.
I've seen many of your vlogs, and I have to say. You are very good at what you do! I'm a new yorker and seen many of the places you toured, and I have to say I get a different eye every time you do a vlog of the city. Very enjoyable to watch....
as always excellent walk. cool architecture, combination of colors, design code. pleases that old buildings, that these beautiful buildings are supported in good condition. there is the charm in areas with old buildings. to remove cars, to add cloudy weather and the jazz reaching from windows. complete dipping)
Man, keep making these brilliant videos!!! It a good job, no lies! I`ve never been to NY, one day maybe... Your videos are inspiring! Thank you for your narration! It`s deffo great!!!!!!
always enjoy these videos. i was in NYC for a month and didn't get to experience SoHo but with this video I feel like I was there. Would be interesting to see how it's changed post-pandemic.
Thanks for another great tour. I can tell your true appreciation for your city in your descriptions. Something that surprises me as you walk by all these designer stores is how many of the businesses are not accessible. I'd think that almost thirty years after the Americans with Disabilities Act these stores would have found a way to get around the steps at their entrances. While I'm not really disabled myself, I do have a bum knee, and many of these businesses seem to be very unfriendly to people who have any trouble at all getting around.
I have just subbed. I love your presentation of NYC - the little history factoids, the character of the districts, the businesses and the people. You certainly have a passion for the Big Apple which comes across almost anonymously and not in the face. Asides the airports, I haven't been to NYC in 40 years but you've got me thinking that perhaps I should make a visit to your great city once again!
Hello Actionkid. My sister lives at 265 Lafayette St. and I have many memories of coming to visit her from the time I was a teen boy. I wish I had a video to show you of this same neighborhood from back in the mid 1970's when I was first introduced to it. Can't wait to show this one to her, she will love it. Thanks so much!
Nice work 👍🏽 ActionKid. Getting to see those streets in SoHo you might miss because they are off the beaten track. Love 💗 it. I have never been down that part of West Broadway, was interesting to see. Keep up the good work.
Very lovely walk and nice and interesting with the narration!! Beautiful footage. I love to see and hear about New York and Soho. Been there once & it would be nice to visit again. I do some Virtual walks in Sweden. Best greetings :-)
I'd love to see a walking narrated video in the nearby West Village - my FAVE area of Manhattan - and the NYU area! Greenwich Village - adore these areas! Love your narration - so well done. Vancouver is home but I adore Manhattan and love visiting! Great job!!

There's a certain quality in the vibe and energy of SoHo Manhattan
