I have most of their books. I love the horror and humor in these books. I think you will really like they’re halloween book. I also like the paper in these books not the best but not the worst. Thank you for sharing this video
A lot of the pictures depict actual events in the original fairy tale versions. For example, "The Little Mermaid" by Hans Christian Andersen is an absolutely heartbreaking tale. The reason knives are depicted is that while the Sea Witch grants the Mermaid's wish for human legs and takes the Mermaid's voice as payment, much like the Disney version, what Disney left out was that while the Mermaid would be able to walk and move with exquisite gracefulness, every step she takes will feel as if she were walking on knives! In the Grimm Brother's version of "Cinderella", the wicked stepsisters cut off parts of their feet so they can fit into the slipper, being told by their mother that as Queen they won't have to walk anyway! Some birds warn the Prince to look back at the blood dripping from the shoes as neither stepsister is the true bride. In the Red Shoes (also Hans Christian Andersen) a vain and spoiled girl insists on wearing her red dancing shoes to church to show off. She finds that she cannot stop dancing, and eventually begs a man to chop off her feet---the chopped off feet keep dancing anyway. Also in the early versions of Little Red Riding Hood, the story ends when the wolf pounces on Red Riding Hood and eats her. The part about the woodsman coming to save her was added later.
Thank you so much! I guess that I need to get myself unabriged version of fairytales instead of children's books and to reaquaint myself with these stories.

Alena, your English is really great. The fairy tale you weren't sure about is the Pied Piper of Hamelin, in English. Happy Coloring!
A film noir 🤩
