I love the song from the beginning to the end, a different style and rhythm, the chorus was not what I expected, but it was perfect because it was unique, and knowing that this is only a B-side of the album, I can not imagine how big it will be the main album song.
I absolutely love this new material and anticipate growing to love it more as time goes by. Excellent job BLACKPINK. I can't wait for more content, reaction videos and of course the tour. Thank you 😀thank you 😀😇🙏🏻
I like it overall and I'm getting used to the chorus, but it really didn't work for me on the first listen. I'm happy they're back and there's more to come.
Here is the thing. The toxic fan culture in kpop is getting out of hand, to the point it is turning off new fans completely. People going out of their way to tell the world what they don't like instead of just focusing on what they do like. As a kpop fan we all need to understand, MORE fans helps all of us and all of the groups we support. SO if a fandom's fav group has a comeback, especially after a long hiatus, we should all collectively be happy for them. Even if we don't listen to the music ourselves, be happy something good is happening for someone else.. More KPOP fans give all groups a better chance to be successful, who knows when those fans may discover YOUR group. Don't hate on something or someone just because it's not your taste. I HATE ONIONS but I don't go around hating on or speaking negatively to people who love them or like them.. That would be completely idiotic right? The exact same thing applies here. It is idiotic to hate on someone for liking something you do not.. Just let it be.. The toxic culture in KPOP will be it's downfall if it doesn't stop or at least decline soon.. There are just a handful of fandoms responsible for the majority of the hate train in the past few months. You all know who they are, if you are in those fandoms, take responsibility and shame them for their toxicity. //rant. Blackpink is fine, the MV and song is fine, it was a nice song to reintroduce the BP sound to the fans who missed them for 2 years. LET THEM HAVE IT IN PEACE.. They earned that by waiting patiently for BP to comeback. Everyone else SIT DOWN and SHHH. I am not a Blink. But I have friends who are and I am genuinely happy for them right now.
Pretty much sums up my thoughts exactly. I really enjoyed the pre-chorus. (that's right a Twice fan can say something nice lol). I can see why fans would love it. I think it's BP all over. I just don't vibe with it which is fine you can not like something and not hate it and be negative towards girls who have clearly worked hard to get where they are.
My opinion on the song is pretty identical to yours. Some parts are on repeat in my head and some parts I am almost wanting to skip over. But like you also said a performance video or even a dance practice might change my mind. Something I always tell my friends is Kpop is not just the music. Cant wait to see more.

Not my favorite BP, took me several listens but really don’t like chorus. Stunning visuals, Rose and Jisoo great vocals. Whole video not the best, chorus ruins it for me. Still really like BP but not my favorite
