I loved how the first 5 episodes were dedicated to each of the 5 siblings...jumping in past n present...showing their qualities n why they turned out the way they did...in the order of their age...the progression actually starts from episode 6 which is an absolute treat...!
This is literally my family - we're 5 siblings, 3 girls and 2 boys. The youngest are twins, boy and girl. Middle child is me, another girl. Safe to say I loved it.
I binge watched the whole of season one yesterday and I absolutely loved it. I wonder, if they do a season two, if it will reflect on what happened before The Crains with The Hills Family and even the people before them. Frankly I think it's perfect as is, sometimes explaining why something happened or someone/something is evil ruins what makes it scary.
I would be fascinated to see the story of Poppy Hill and what happened to her children and family. Catherine Parker, who played her in episode 9 entitled "Screaming Meemies" was quite masterful in her performance!
kassard1 they said season 2 was going to be about another story. It’s going to be called The haunting of Bly Manor and the actress who played Nellie is going to be in it ( different story same actress)
@Samael "Theo" and "Hugh" also appears in Ouija: Origin of Evil. AND in "Gerald's Game, "Theo" and "Hugh" play Olivia's mother and father in flashbacks. Mike Flanagan definitely likes working with the same pool of actors.
I love this show, but honestly one thing that really bothers me is that you had Henry Thomas wear blue colored contacts only because Timothy Hutton has blue eyes. The contacts were so off-putting because I could very clearly tell that it wasn't his natural eye color.
Love this.. also i love the fact that they interviewed their adult selves with their kid counter parts. The kids they cast are perfect. Great casting director.
I just watched the whole series and I really liked it. It was pretty slow-paced but the tension build-ups and suspense make up for it. If you're patient enough see what happens through each characters perspective, I recommend you watch it. The ending kind of made me sad for some reason but maybe it is supposed to end that way for a reason.
My favorite character is Theo the middle child but can relate with the twins because as a youngest child in the family i feel like people become dismissive to the youngest siblings. I can relate of feeling shut off because of it. Theo is the best grounded because she is the middle child and isn't closed off but at the same time she is so empathetic that she feels she has to protect herself from her own emotions.
By the way THE BEST OF NETFLIX by cinematics, casting, music and so on for a very, very long time for me. Hill House is show worthly of both presentxand the past. God bless! (in hope of his existence)
I love the story and the series overall but the thing that bent-neck lady was Nell and the red room catch in the end was beyond my imagination its amazing.
It's literally my family.Five children,3 girls and 2 boys.Eldest is my brother, then my sister, then me I am the middle child and I am also GAY.But younger ones aren't twins. There's a two years gap between them.
Has anyone seen the original movie from 1963 and noticed how the director tweeked the characters for this series but still with core similarities? In the original, the house was built by Hugh Crain, who's wife died by falling down the stairs, and their daughter Abigail never left the nursery and died there calling for her caretaker. Later on, four people went to study paranormal activity on the house since it had stood empty for so long.... one being Luke who was the son of the heir, Theo who was a lesbian psychic, and Eleanor, a sensitive who was plagued by poltergeists since her childhood. There was the spiral staircase where previous occupants hung themself, loud banging on the doors, eerie statues, and the words "HELP ELEANOR COME HOME" were written on a wall. And even though the rest of them tried to leave Hill House, Eleanor felt an affinity with the house and wanted to stay there and heal the ghosts, ultimately leading to her death. Anyone getting the heebie jeebies yet?
Amazing. I just noticed that the casts from "Ouija: origin of evil" were also in this show. Elizabeth, Lulu, Kate, and Henry, which is both directed by Mike Flanagan. I'm luving it, wanna see more shows with them together. anyways, i jus finished this show so research is done.
I believe she said "yes, I should call her since I'm the oldest one and it's my job to take care of my younger siblings. oh wait, that's you." when Steve called her about Nellie's phone call. she said that sarcastically to prove a point, not as stating a fact.
I love how those kids do have strong resemblance of the adult characters making it even more believable. Bravo to the casting crews!
Only thing is adult Luke doesn't wear glasses.
Especially with Shirley!
Agreeeeee. They had similar mannerisms
Agree. Even lil Nell got the same lips as adult Nell...
@@karenksz34 I know right!! they have the same eyes and smile
young shirley and old look so much alike its SCARY
I KNOW they litterally have the same eyes and smile
It's actually insane how Elizabeth and Lulu look so much like each other
Ikr
OMG yes
There mother and daughter in real life.
Griffen Eastham no they aren’t
No wonder they played mother and daughter in Ouija 2
I loved how the first 5 episodes were dedicated to each of the 5 siblings...jumping in past n present...showing their qualities n why they turned out the way they did...in the order of their age...the progression actually starts from episode 6 which is an absolute treat...!
Is there any full version of the interview? Somehow it’s so satisfying to see each character’s older & younger actors sit next to each other
Right?! I'm trying to find it but I haven't found it yet
commenting in case someone finds it
Right? I need this too
@@lauraortega2425 me too
2021 is coming. Bly manor already came out. Still, where are those goddamn interviewsssss :(((

You guys better stay away from creepy ass old houses 💀
Stay away from drugs yo
@@anirudhsilverking5761 Stay away from Red Doors.
stay away from ropes
omg! we are the same only I'm the middle one and a boy, BUT also a Psychologist.I am still reeling from this show! just finished it.
I binge watched the whole of season one yesterday and I absolutely loved it.

kassard1 That sound like a good theory, but I would miss The Crains too much😅

Same
I also benched watched the whole season yesterday

I wish i was able to forget this show,so i could watch it again
I love this show, Theo is really iconic.
I love how Michiel, Elizabeth and Kate look down at Paxton, Lulu and Mckenna with smiles on their faces and pride in their eyes when they speak.
This is what I want from Netflix....more haunted and complicated shit
Just realized young Shirley was the girl from Annabelle: Creation and Ouija: Origin of Evil
That's where I've seen her!!! Been trying to remember!! hahs
@Samael "Theo" and "Hugh" also appears in Ouija: Origin of Evil. AND in "Gerald's Game, "Theo" and "Hugh" play Olivia's mother and father in flashbacks. Mike Flanagan definitely likes working with the same pool of actors.
Another great Netflix original, watch 6 episodes so far and the story is very gripping!!!
Sameee i just finished the show!! And the 6st 9th and 10th episodes are the best, in my opinion!!🥺👏🏼
It’s Mrs.Cullen
lwandile dube yessss lol
@lwandile dube - I want to be your best friend. Someone who gets it!
They came out with those already
Finally a Twihard🤗
I looked for this comment lol
I want young Luke to be my child. I'd protect him forever.
I feel like that's the Julian Hilliard effect because I literally feel the EXACT SAME WAY about Billy Maximoff.
I love this show, but honestly one thing that really bothers me is that you had Henry Thomas wear blue colored contacts only because Timothy Hutton has blue eyes. The contacts were so off-putting because I could very clearly tell that it wasn't his natural eye color.
They could of found better blue contacts though, They illuminated the room with how bright they were
at first i thought hes the ghost geez his contacts looked so creepy
This is my first time hearing Oliver Jackson-Cohen's normal voice and I am shook. Like damm- Luke didn't sounds like that I'm shakith
Love this.. also i love the fact that they interviewed their adult selves with their kid counter parts. The kids they cast are perfect. Great casting director.
Mike Flanagan, our new James Wan.
Better than him
Just finished binge watching the whole thing. I loved it. Brilliant. 10/10 would recommend

Same, it’s such a good build up! And the last two episodes are just Magnificent!! Specially the last scene with Stevie and his Father!! Xx
I always thought the Starks were the most tragic family on TV.
Then I met Nell and the Crains.
Mike is a legendary director. He was even kind enough to speak to me on social media once i thanked him for his brilliance
One of the BEST series I’ve been so lucky to watch!!!
The casting of the child and adult actors are on point! Love the story so much!!!

This show is super thrill, horror...love the story , characters ❤❤❤
Haunted version of This Is Us..
Yes!
Ok but that last sequence of shots and the music made me so exited for a show that I already watched like three times already. This is too good.
Mike Flanagan you are a genius. Bravo sir on this masterpiece
By the way THE BEST OF NETFLIX by cinematics, casting, music and so on for a very, very long time for me. Hill House is show worthly of both presentxand the past. God bless! (in hope of his existence)
Smol theo and adult theo are wearing gloves.
They didn't have to,but i'm glad they did 🥰
I love the story and the series overall but the thing that bent-neck lady was Nell and the red room catch in the end was beyond my imagination its amazing.
I’m Gonna have to put the baby to bed early tomorrow and enjoy daddy and mommy time watching this 🤣
Abigail
DEFINITELY ONE OF THE BEST NETFLIX ORIGINALS
Best Cast Ever!!! Love the show.
The child actors look so much like their adult counterparts.
Also cool that they interviewed the kids and the adult actors side by side.
People in horror movies must be unaware of the simple practice of moving to other houses
Seems like you don't watch horror movies, because they do this a lot in horror movies.
Why u keep saying that
For some reason it tends to follow or bring them back to that house or somehow preventing them to leave
You will never know until you live it lol
And some people must be unaware of how difficult it is to move to another house.
I love this show so much. One of the best horror shows Netflix has ever made
We need a season 2. No idea how that will work. We just need a season 2.
Netflix ya done did it again with this one! Honestly, keep up the good work.
The first time I’ve seen a 5 kid family with 3 girls and 2 boys
The resemblance between the actors counterparts is perfect
Most favourite series. Theo❤
Will scare the life out of you and the ploy is so gripping! I loved it!
Plot
I've been binge watching this....but as soon as night falls, I cut the shit off😓😟😦
@Jenna Connery I EVEN SLEEP WITH A NIGHTLIGHT NOW THO...!?👀😳😬🥺👏🏼😫😉💕
The fact that you can relate at least one of them, even the parents.
If you don’t then you’re a spoiled only child
The kids says, they never believe me.. gotta watch this one lol
Raphaelson III That scene breaks my heart
Loved it ... the whole story ..the family ..everything 👍👍👍
One of the best horror shows I’ve watched. I love how the story unfolded..
Theo was the best character
This movie has a quite interesting story behind it.
It’s a tv show! You can watch it on Netflix
I love it! Just love the whole thing. Mike Flanagan is so genius!

Absolutely brilliant series. Loved it. Season 2 please....
They were all amazing but Violet and McKenna were just... Wow! Top notch acting.
That series truly is a masterpiece
Holy shivers! That stars today. I'm there!
This show is incredible. I'm on episode 5 and I'm starting to get sad it's coming to an end already because it's just so gripping.
1:31 Lulu Wilson in another horror project. I love everything she's in so this must be awesome.

Best series I seen in a long time way better than anything on CW
Soooo looking forward to this. 😱
Loved the Liam Neeson movie. So hyped for this show!
I'm happy to know others like me exist! I know it's not the BEST movie around, but I grew up around it.
Ziggy Padackles watch the 1963 version. Now that was scary. It’s what you don’t see that’s frightening
This series was so good
Sooo goood everyone should watch this
I’ve enjoyed this so far but I don’t really understand the timeline and the relations of the characters so this helped a bit
i was shitting my pants whole season..i had insomnia after watching it
Actually in the show Shirley states she's the oldest. I don't know if she meant mentally, physically, or emotionally.
I believe she said "yes, I should call her since I'm the oldest one and it's my job to take care of my younger siblings. oh wait, that's you." when Steve called her about Nellie's phone call. she said that sarcastically to prove a point, not as stating a fact.
It’s one of the elite horror TV series so far in Netflix for me! ❤️ and I can’t wait till they release second season👻👻❤️
Damn it, this show gave me anxiety sleeping.
230% recommend it!!!!!
Alright ☺️

The father is creepy, he looks like an artificial doll.
Looks promising, but looks soooo different from the book.
I felt so bad for Luke and Nell
