I'm an Asian guy coming from the different background. I don't get the attitude of the tour guide (the Engineer); he seemed to not so eager with the visit. The clip was a bit awkward.

Dropbox have a use in art, store art for a month, sketches and coloring on ipad, and see it to connect to cowork about what need to do.
At least they have walls and the open plan areas aren't huge I suppose, but WTF is Silicon Valley's obsession with open plan offices? All of the science points to this being an extremely shit idea, causing massive distraction and killing productivity.
Spend some time googling open plan offices and you will find no significant defence of them at all. Just a few CEOs claiming without evidence that they enhance collaboration and a long list of scientists saying reduce productivity by 50%, increase the number of sick days through the spread of disease and increase employee stress.
In silicon valley they only company with decent office space seems to be stack overflow.

Rather than make a fool of yourself here, why don't you go and actually look at the research that's out there. I'd provide links if that were possible on you tube, but comments with links tend to disappear here.
You can start with the University of Exeter study that shows a 32% drop in employee well-being and a 15% drop in productivity.
Then the Steelcase study involving 10500 workers, 31% of whom said they had to leave the office to get work done. 95% said they preferred to work privately and only 41% said they actually were allowed to. The study also showed that 86 minutes per day are lost on average to distractions in open plan offices.
A Queensland University of Technology Institute of biomedical Innovation found open plan offices create high levels of stress and high blood pressure.
A New Yorker investigation found that open plan offices result in 62% higher rates of sick leave and cost considerably more than proper offices.
