- The Lençóis Maranhenses national park is located in the north of São Luís in Brazil. It looks like a desert where the temperatures can reach as high as 45°. But nevertheless, it’s a rainy region and we can find a multitude of lakes there. Jivalnido Miranda is one of the rare biologists who studies the surprising ecosystem of this hostile environment. Him and his two students are trying to understand this exceptional nature.

This is a magical place. You need to go at a specific time in the year to see the lagoons. Right after rainy season. Thank you for covering one of the most beautiful places in the world!
Sands of Atlantic
Brazil is unique in many ways
Happy to see the one among them
Absolutely stunning! I need to go there while it still is relatively unknown. And while there’s still rain to fill up the lagoons. The world is getting hotter and drier and beautiful landscapes like this could be affected drastically
I've been around the world and I've never seen a more beautiful place.
Yes It is really a unique beautiful place...
ahh! fantastic and stunning......didnt know such incredible place existe on our earth!?
Thanks for this geographical excursion 🙏🙌
Isolated, quiet.. so beautiful!! Would love to live here.
Not quiet though. I was there last week and it packed
Truly great documentaries by Slice 👍

Que maravilha
👏♥️🇧🇷
waw
🇧🇷😍😍
12:08 that is pretty much the same history for every 'comunity' in Brazil.
We have many national parks and reserves where in theory there should be no building, but we also have a internal fight between environmentalists and social agencies.
You cant invade Natural Reserves, but you cant simply evict people out of their homes either.
In the case of reserves inside big cities it gets even more complicated. In theory, because of environmental laws, the city should never build any infrestructure in those places, such as sanitation, pavimentation, electricity, which makes things even worse for the people that live in communities.
For such a big country with so many preservation areas and a huge concentration of people in major cities instead of spreaded through the country, this has been a huge issue of which have serious complications in safety and the fight against crime.
🤙🏼
What an awful pronunciation! Lol
What an awful comment LOL What languages can you speak other than your own?
How do you pronounce it tho? I’ve seen a lot and it’s different every time 😅
Looks so unreal kkk
