    Great Video! I bought it too.
    Try this out:
    Aspect ratio "point to point" and check out the contrast set to 60, brightness 46 and sharpness 60.
    I figured out that in ptp you get a much more accurate color space out of this little beast.
    My red have been pink a lot of times.
    After changing that, it got fixed! It adds much more shadow details to the picture and still got its deep blacks ;)

      Many thanks for this!
      TL;DR: Aspect Ratio "Point to Point". Picture Mode "User" Contrast: 37, Brightness 53.
      Color Temperature "User" R: 63, G:40, B: 70.
      The "Point to Point" mode is totally undocumented in the manual, and the actual Aspect Ratio stays the same as "Just Scan", so no idea why it's in that menu, also it doesn't appear at all until you scroll past "Just Scan" to the next page! But as you say, it completely changes the contrast/colour response, and better yet it no longer blows out the bright highlights, nor lose details in the dark areas. This is the only mode where you can achieve this.
      I used AVS HD 709 to calibrate mine in "Point to Point" mode, and my settings came out at: Contrast 37, Brightness 53. Colour and Sharpness I left at 50. (I'm not sure Sharpness does anything in "Point to Point" mode, I couldn't see any difference between 0 and 100. Also in "Point to Point" mode the Noise Reduction option is disabled.) Then also for Colour Temperature: User, R: 63 G: 40 B:70. Set like this the picture is very good indeed with excellent colour reproduction, and fine detail in dark and bright areas. Of course, there's quite a bit of variability between units, and screen/wall colours, ambient lighting, etc. but these settings should be a decent starting point.

    Nice review! I’ve been in the market for a good quality low budget project for a while now. But most budget projects are misleading and don’t get good reviews. However I stumbled across this one today. And have already seen over a dozen reviews on this. It’s has had all positive feedback and everyone has recommended it. I just ordered mine off Amazon about 2 hours ago. Should be here by Thursday. Really looking forward to trying it out. Thanks so much for sharing :)

      I absolutely love it. Only had it 2 days and I’m impressed. I was scetchy at first about it having 5,000 Lumens. There is so many misleading information about Lumens on budget projectors. But after I put it in a heavy lite room and it still had a ok picture I was definitely very into it. I’ve got it on a Projector Stand and it’s doing great. Sound quality is not bad but I have it hooked up to a nice Samsung All in one sound bar. It’s probably the best $250 I ever spent on a device!

I'm glad I went the budget route and found this bad boy! maybe down the road ill upgrade to an actual 4k projector and utilize this one for outside viewing parties.

    The screen looks uneven.(right side larger) It’s probably the reason the right side looks blurry and the left side is fine. You need to turn the projector left a bit. Use a measuring tape to make sure the left and right side vertical measurements are the same. Awesome review btw! The only review that actually shows refresh rate. Do you happen to know what the input lag and response time of the projector? I’ve been trying to search for the info online, but couldn’t find any.

      The wall has kind of a slightly steper angle going inwards for the right side its just not flat.
      As for the numbers they are provably no where to be found unless tested. Maybe i can test it against a set of monitors and see which ones match up lol. But none the less pretty great mouse responsiveness. Since controllers have the power to mask lag some how for TVs

    This was a great video though, you went through everything and showed us exactly what you get for $250 and I greatly appreciate the time you took to do this for us. I gave you a LIKE and I even hit the subscribe button just to help as much as I could. I will even go back and turned off Ad Remover and watched this whole video with that off. But Optoma is one the best projectors. I have tried a few other brands and for the $500 to $850 range this is the best. Stay away from 3LCD, the colors look weird, (sorry Epson) stay with DLP if you want that TV look without the thousands and thousands of dollars to get anything bigger than a 70 inch.

      WiiNV, There are a few differences between the V600 and Jedx M18.
      The V600: 5000 LUX to Jedx M18 3000 Lumens,
      Contrast Ration: V600: 5000:1 vs Jedx M18: 1000:1 (which is less than Vankyo's bottom line projector the Leisure 3) So that may be the best comparison here.
      I just don't want people to be misled by the appearance of the two.

What a partiality service that is Vankyo ???? By this Canadian customers are forced to only buy outdated models. I didnot buy V630 for its very high fan noise. • @LifeKommando
      @LifeKommando  5 лет назад

      The Elite Screens i want to try and review once i am back from my trip.
      The only reason you would get the one in the video is for its price and flexibility if you have trees in the right place to tie it.
      Reasons to get the yard 2 elite are for its multilayer material. Included metal frame. And how it reflects light properly to get clean colors without bleed and things should overall have better black levels and more clarity.
      Otherwise i would try and invest in a good screen in the end its what will make the biggest difference
      Hope this helps

    Well.... I wish I had spotted your review before getting the M18 projector as a present for my brother... (the M18 is the non branded version of the one you reviewed). I personally owned 2 projectors in the past. An HD Ready Epson costing around 700$ (a good 10 years ago) and a Full HD Epson one costing 1800$ (a good 4-5 years ago. At that time there were some 700$ full HD ones by Epson, but I chose to go "prosumer" on that one), the EH-TW7200 (the 700$ one got into a fire caused by something irrelevant, not the projector itself). I am used to proper picture quality on a projector. Although I wouldn't mind poor colours on an ultra cheap projector, I had never seen a projector not being able to produce an in focus image...
    You can imagine my disappointment when with big anticipation I hooked up the M18 to test it out and saw a blurry mess... Keystone correction was a nightmare and ultimately useless. As you already know, it will mess the focus so bad that you must NOT use it no matter what. Then you gotta center the projector height and width wise, as you kind of demonstrated on your video by stacking lots of boxes underneath it... I wish you had explained that this is the ONLY way you can get a kind of in focus image. If you did so, I would have given you my like. (I didn't dislike it though, since you were pretty frank about the whole thing). This is honestly very uncomfortable since you got a projector in the middle of the room, getting in the way of anyone who want to walk in it -_- But even when sacrificing your space, the image isn't in focus... Then there is the noise... You did mention it that it gets noisy, but again I would have like you to say that it get really noisy and annoying... I get that you are doing a probably sponsored review, so, I forgive you for that one too. All in all, this was the most honest review on this product out of all the ones in RUclips.
    My recommendation for other buyers:
    Do not buy a cheap projector like this one. Yes the 1080p part sounds pretty exciting, but it's not as sharp as a proper 720p projector from a renowned brand. There are LG 720p projector for pretty much the same money and I warranty better colours and sharpness (all be it with lower brightness). But if you go for that 1080p resolution. Just give 400-500$ and get yourself a proper 1080p projector by Epson, Optoma, ViewSonic, BenQ, even LG and Acer. There are some GOOD options out there.... Those 200$ felt like thrown away money when I say the picture quality... I still feel that way... DON'T buy this or any other cheap Chinese projector... You will regret spending the money. Save up some more and get the real thing. I beg you people...

      It's not a sponsored video, they only sent me the product but you are right I should have emphasized how loud the fan was, next time I will make sure to make things clearer and most likely review an actual brand..

    So I was looking at buying this last week. I saw two Amazon reviews that said that the video processor could not keep up even with 24fps video and drop below. Did you have this issue? It’s possible they got faulty models.
    Also I was looking at buying it and putting a Noctua fan in so I’d like to see that.
    I ended up buying a used BenQ HT1070a for $300 with 20hr on the bulb and no remote ($20)

    • @LifeKommando
      @LifeKommando  5 лет назад

      Yea as I have mentioned in the video i dont recommend using the built in player. Always use a dedicated tv media box of Some sort for any standard projector.

    • @andrewskaterrr
      @andrewskaterrr 5 лет назад

      Life Kommando oh ok, so you only saw it when using SD/USB playback. Ok that clears it up.
      You should totally do a fan replacement or open it up so I can see if it’s possible. No one has made a fan replacement post that I can find. Judging by the grill It looks like it uses a 92mm fan
