I noticed the same thing in the Russian Mig 19PT. Nothing shows up on the radar unless you are already on top of it. By then, you might as well use your guns. Also, I found that IFF sometimes miss reads a plane and tells you it is an enemy when it is a friend. I know, I shot down a friend the other day because it showed up on IFF as an enemy. Others have said the same thing about the IFF miss identifying a plane.
I’ve found CCRP is much more accurate if you try to lower the closure rate to the drop point by either pitching up to toss bomb or point down to dive bomb. In fact Tornadoes were designed to toss bomb Soviet airfields as soon as hostilities broke out and did so in the Gulf War.
CptToastman 3 mistakes: 1. This mode is designed to be used from lower altitude. It is indended to mark target and than approach altitude to avoid enemy attacking 2. You need to keep the line going down aligned with ether the target point or special symbol if target is below hud. From this altitude any bombing is quiet inprecise anyway Also only 1st bomb will land on target if you have ripple as other bombs follow with delay With ccrp you can mark target from far safe space and than relocate and approach from advantageous position Also Many planes can change whats displayed on MDF with special button or wheel menu
Personally, in the tornado, I tend to take a targeting pod if I know I’m going to use the CCRP, since I feel it hits a bit nicer, however it decreases the potential payload doesn’t it
really? you use it in ec or ground battle? because I can use it well in ec to bomb the bases (I use the TIALD pod to set the target point and bomb with the ccrp from 1500m altitude at maximum speed ) but if I try to bomb the anti-aircraft in battle or worse the convoys I get constantly shot down (either by the anti-aircraft or by enemy aircraft). p.s. nice video toastman!
Havent tested it in the Tornado, but since they said they fixed CCRP: All the red circles on the map are pre-definded target points, you can (should be able to) cycle between them.
I would like to see the tornado put to 10.3 to test what it would be like in the 9.7-10.3 sim bracket. Atm, it’s atrocious, the german event one even more so because we face the F16 and F14.
Try using ccrp with a shallow dive as your release point nears. I find it helps a bit. If you intend to drop all the bombs, you want to set your target point like 100meters in front of the target because there’s a delay from the first to the last bombs that release. Also worth pointing out is that Gaijin have screwed ccrp up a number of times to the point where it just didn’t work at all for weeks at a time. If it doesn’t work for you, try what I’ve said and then give it a few weeks to see if anything has improved with it. One more thing: I’d check your aircraft’s hud to make sure that X that comes up is coming up on the same place your default crosshair comes to because every aircraft I’ve used that has the feature uses the center of the target reticule for the designation point.
The calculations for CCIP and CCRP in WT...idk...seens wrong CCIP the angle to it actually appears in your sight is just too much and the CCRP the drops are missing by 50m...or im too used ti Falcon BMS CCIP/CCRP or theres something wrong...
I've tried using CCRP for the Mig-27K and as you said yourself, it's not very accurate. The first bomb will drop where you wanted it to drop but the rest will spread in a larger area. I tried droping 4x500Kg bombs on bomb targets using CCRP from 2500-3000m, which I find to be a standard altitude, going around Mach 0.9 and the spread of those bombs was so big that I wasn't feeling sure they were going to kill the base every time. I guess you could use it though for bombing airfields since you wouldn't need to dive and risk getting shot down by SAMs. If you drop them at lower altitude they would have less diviation obviously but that negates the whole purpose of using CCRP in my opinion cause at that point it's more simple to just use regular CCIP.
I love these plane , I think is very good for strike, not visuale mate, set target from take off with numbers and bomb will be deadly acurate, you can launch from 10000 meters.
When you were demonstrating targeting in another plane a couple of years ago, you discovered you have to aim ahead (in front of) the target to compensate for it landing behind the target. // I had to come back and mention: As of late, I have seen the bots flying very low around your base. I am referring to the AI which cover your airfield. Lately they have been flying very low to the ground and doing maneuvers. This may indicate the ground radar may be coming in a future update. Sorry had to come back and add again: You can drop all six by putting your bomb drop on continuous mode.
If is not to much to ask, plz do a video on the IL.10 1946, either the Chinese and the Soviet are very good, bur in my opinion 10k is very acid to a attacker.
So I don't know if warthunder's physics are that good. But in DCS, for CCRP drops, even though the computer releases the weapons, you need to do a bit of Math yourself because depending on the speed of your aircraft at the drop, your bombs can end up slightly long, slightly short, or on target. I've got a bloke who made a kneeboard with ideal speeds, altitude and attitude for mk82 snake eye CCRP drops in the Hornet.
At top tier going for ground targets will always be useless. As the game is set up its too easy for fighters to intercept attack aircraft and for some reason they have the same gain as shooting down a fighter. There's a lot of people are asking for a PVE mode in SIM with EC now a days for a reason. Its too frustrating trying to have fun in an aircraft when you're trying to manage your role on the battlefield and the role that an escorting fighter should be doing too.
"i don't think is for radar warning" and since when does gaijin gives a fuck about realism or even slightly approaching the truth when it comes to jets?. They want money not to do a good game.
Air Sim from war thunder oscillates drastically from the best time im having and the worst compromises i have to do

Gorgeous looking aircraft!
I have the italian one and its pretty good for CAS, even tho its missing most of its weaponry....

@@baronebirra2243 well, simply when u spawn in u have to sideclimb till like 8-9k meters of altitude and bomb em from there (in grb)

I'm pretty sure the terrain radar is used for flying low with auto-pilot.
