- Russia's Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un have signed a new agreement that details mutual aid if either country were to be attacked. The deal also includes partnerships on trade, investment, and cultural and humanitarian ties. It comes as Putin made his first visit to Pyongyang in 24 years - and as both countries face escalating standoffs with the West.
For more on this, we talk to Yee-un Shin, who is a Journalist, Reporter and news anchor with South Korea's Ari-rang TV. She joins us from Seoul.
And DW's East Asia correspondent James Chater has more on this pact between Russia and North Korea.

It's interesting to note that over the years, both Russia and China backed no less than 21 UNSC resolutions that sought to put a stop to North Korea arming itself with nuclear weapons. Now Russia has become an enabler instead. That's a 180 degree shift in policy, unbefitting a permanent member of the UNSC.
