im pro weed but have to agree with this story 100%. the other side is corps trying to control all business. what needs to happen is weed needs to be like the craft beer industry . and taxed the same as they are . the price wars would keep the criminals away .if the cartels had no profit to go after they would fade away. right now the fake value produced by corps and state greed is what gives weed value. if it was treated more like beer and sold in the same places beer is sold the cartels would just give up.

Unfortunately this is not uncommon, and it doesn’t happen with just immigrants. I’m currently listening to a podcast called Crooked City: The Emerald Triangle and it’s a story about Northern California weed trimmers. They are US citizens but didn’t get paid by the grower so they murdered him. It’s very sad what people will do to others that are desperate, such as immigrants. They know they are in difficult situation and they take advantage of that.

Talk about a serious buzz kill with that guilt as I'm hitting my bowl..... I do appreciate the " legitimate " regulated cannabis industry here in VA for a year or so compared to how I've always gotten it before. This most Definitely makes me appreciate legalization. But as hot topic as legalization has been I personally think this would have alot more coverage, honestly BECAUSE it's weed. Interesting eye opening watch for sure! But, if I went into a country illegally to make money for home, can I really expect anyone will care about my human rights when I'm not legally even documented to be there? I detest scummy, cruel people. But, for a moment let's step back and realize that going somewhere illegally isn't the best idea for many reasons. Maybe do your best to seek political asylum or some other process to help your family that doesn't cause you undue harm. It's just a thought. I hate what happened to this lady. It's freaking awful. But, human traffickers are just looking for people to come here without support or protection to exploit. Then there are the other kind that kidnap you. That is a whole other ball game.

I don’t understand how you can literally commit a criminal act essentially cutting the line ahead of possibly millions of people trying to get access to the same opportunities you desire (the legal way) and try to garner sympathy with some sob story in how you were exploited. They say first impressions are everything. Coming here illegally you are breaking the laws of this land. I don’t know the desperation in your hearts because it is not my experience. I’m not judging the choice itself in making that decision. However, I’m not going to feel sorry for people looking for pity in trying to take the short and (what they may think) easy way. Is this story sad? Of course. This world is full of demons. If it sounds too good to be true, ITS A SCAM. That’s the human way. Everything comes down to the dollar (or peso). It's legal where she is. She's NOT a victim. She paid thousands to criminals to commit a criminal act. She's here illegally, knows it's wrong & doesn't care. The reason they're paying to be trafficked in is because they don't have a legal asylum claim. They aren't being politically persecuted, either. They're taking advantage of the opportunity to get in the door knowing they won't be deported right now. She's a victim of her own actions. They don't get to break our immigration laws, enrich the cartels, then claim they're a victim. They're completely destroying our country & their own lives. If you care about illegal migrants, you'll demand our border is closed. The most humane thing we can do is seal the border & enforce our immigration laws. It'll not only save thousands of lives, but will save millions from being in debt bondage to cartels for yrs. They need to come legally or not come. 🇺🇸🙏🏼💞

Her story sounds rather odd. She illegally came to the US (okay, fine, i can accept that, it does not make her a bad person). She fell 13 feet and could only limp yet ran for one hour as the border patrol cased her(that´s a pity story, makes no sense limping yet running)...She worked for 2 days in texas (means working illegally) and then was offered another illegal job in Oregon on a farm (this all tells me her intentions were not to get a visa, but instead to work illegally)....Then you have that she thought she was working on a farm yet she happened to be sent to a pot trimming farm (and coincidentally she had pot trimming experience in her past (oh boy what a coincidence for her) lol she knew very well she was coming to the US all along to be part of working in the drug industry. But this story is made so we feel pity for her? I am sorry, I feel no pity for people who move to another country to sell drugs, or make drugs, or work passing out poison, no matter the circumstances...There are many illegal immigrants who work illegally, and that is life, that does not make them a bad person. But being illegal and making your money in an illegal business makes you a criminal, and i do not have pity for criminals. She could have worked another job illegally that was not drugs etc and I would feel bad for her. But with this story I say send her back home and ban her from the US. Criminals in any country should not be welcome. Illegal immigrants who are working a normal job are perfectly fine.

This is a human trafficking issue, regardless of why someone is trafficking a person, it’s a crime against humanity. It’s like saying, they were a drug addict, or lost, homeless but it’s ok to rape them, treat them like animal and enslave them. Nice to know who is the Nazi in this thread and if you think your mentality is anything above that, it’s time you get to some soul searching.

Now we have cartels that specialize in a certain drug.
Is there some governing body to regulate who gets
to have a cartel on different drugs.
Human trafficking seems a poor choice for expanding
profits as adding another drug like cocaine to your
existing supply line would be easier.
I sweat the horseshit you guys come up with gets
    lamer by the year.

Bullshit. Grow a brain. Some alien crosses the border illegally and works in the US running and hiding from authorities like a roach and Biden is the problem? Look up Bartolo Fuentes if you know how to read. I'm glad these people had a bad experience in the US and wanted to go back home. What about that liar trump that promised the American people that he would build a wall and make Mexico pay for it??
