Prayers for everyone affected by this 🙏🏽
im pro weed but have to agree with this story 100%. the other side is corps trying to control all business. what needs to happen is weed needs to be like the craft beer industry . and taxed the same as they are . the price wars would keep the criminals away .if the cartels had no profit to go after they would fade away. right now the fake value produced by corps and state greed is what gives weed value. if it was treated more like beer and sold in the same places beer is sold the cartels would just give up.
GOOD POINT.
No don't sell weed where beer is sold terrible idea just rethink wtf u just said 😑 I agree on the first half half of what u said but that last part was dumb af man 👨
I agree. Let folks grow their own.
Shut up
@Rebecca Jones I smoke a little bit before bed a few times a month to catch up on sleep my friends from ages ago just give it to me, they are more into the cultivation side of it. Every so often I toss the old and get more. I have no idea who buys it in the store.
They were doing this way before legalization of cannabis. It's only a publicity problem now. Growing our own in the U.S. has actually weakened the cartels grip on productions. The poor people of Mexico have been doing this to their people.
Weakened the cartels grip.! It's the cartels coming across the border expanding their grip into the USA and again exploiting their own people crossing the border illegally..
Exactly people were being held captive in pot forms all over Humboldt county working on farms trimming pot getting paid a flat rate and yes some of them for security purposes weren't allowed to leave immediately that's why they're told they will work 15 days straight or almost a month straight but that's been going on since the eighties
Sending prayers, strength, & healing from Florida 💚
Unfortunately this is not uncommon, and it doesn’t happen with just immigrants. I’m currently listening to a podcast called Crooked City: The Emerald Triangle and it’s a story about Northern California weed trimmers. They are US citizens but didn’t get paid by the grower so they murdered him. It’s very sad what people will do to others that are desperate, such as immigrants. They know they are in difficult situation and they take advantage of that.
Wait wasn't he supposed to pay them?
@@GoddessBlueYozakura7 yeah sounds like he fucked around and found out
I heard about the emerald triangle. I live in Nor Cal so this stuff is around me all the time. Do you know any other podcasts that deal with the current underground market?
@@GoddessBlueYozakura7 Yes he was supposed to pay them, but he did not. Unfortunately, they were all high on psychedelics when the murder happened and there's many variations of what happened and why.
@@SaD_kNiFeYT Hmm I'm not sure about other Podcasts. The only other thing I've watched about it was Murder Mountain on Netflix. It's the same concept.
So is this happening in states that haven't legalized yet?
Because this was happening way before legalization of weed, guaranteed.
Yeah we're not going to hear about it where it's not legal, but I promise it's happening.
This is old even though its been uploaded a few hrs ago.. iv watched this same exact documentary about 5-7 yrs ago
thank you. so its not very up to date?
Ohh
Perhaps the situation was never fixed and is still rampant.
There's something about it all that doesn't sit right..... I don't claim to have much knowledge as far as cartels and such and God forbid people would ever have to endure that! Talk about a serious buzz kill with that guilt as I'm hitting my bowl..... I do appreciate the " legitimate " regulated cannabis industry here in VA for a year or so compared to how I've always gotten it before. This most Definitely makes me appreciate legalization. But as hot topic as legalization has been I personally think this would have alot more coverage, honestly BECAUSE it's weed. Interesting eye opening watch for sure! But I think there's alot of things I'd clarify 🤷🤙
But one of the ladies said… “when i started in 2021” so i think not.
How can human beings treat other human beings like this? The true monster is man, evil lives in the human heart. I will never understand and I don't want too. God help us all!
Legal or not these places will exist.
Trafficking is going on across the board💔
True. Doesn't matter what industry is, human trafficking is rampant.
😔💔
Correct, I don't know why this is a story..... what about our American children getting tricked and end up in this trafficking lifestyle??
Wow that's crazy. They need to track down these traffickers and fix the immigration system.
Joe Biden is who to blame.
@@joegutierrez3892 there was trafficking before he became president. It’s an inherited problem 🤨
@@solaris5922 Biden has been part of the problem for decades.
@@joegutierrez3892 so its joes fault now? while all these years with the same immigration problem really sound like a fucking retard
@@philly1559 Yep, the Big Guy been Deep State for decades.
Sad how intimidation makes this people giving in to the abuse, I'm a Salvadorian, got herrast over my cellphone, I ask my mother to report any problems to the police !!! People can't let delinquents affect their lifes,, I said to her I will do the same, do not give money to delinquent, after that some one called me claiming to be my mother the voice was similar but the speech was completely off, after that I haven't try to speak to my mother anymore, honestly I don't know for sure if her and my siblings are OK. I hope they are. 🙏🙏🙏
What?
Umm... is your mother deceased?
@byronmilla865
I understand, you have told your family to stay safe, report any problems of any individuals harassing them, plus you gave your mother a cell phone to use in such an event. On calling, the voice was not that of your mother, that must be so worrying, stay strong, I hope things work out OK.
THC, the human cost, as if THC is to blame when it is greed exacerbated by over regulation and taxes.
See what happens when they create laws to regulate a market but goverment makes licensing and financing impossible, only work for legal corporations or illegal corporations that have the cash to invest, here in California can cost up to $100,000 just for the licensing. Crazy
No. This happens on ALL farms. Not just weed. My dad used to bust orange farms for doing the same thing.
And the weed is crap.
Don't come into the country illegally
You mean when the English came over, they came legally??
I doubt the cartels were the only ones in on this if at all…in Oregon…the United States 🤨 sure
If this happens to Oregon house owner when they are away, this could be bad
@@jessekawaii2276 I am referring to illegal takeover by cartels on unsuspecting homes
lmaoooo as if this wasnt happening even worse BEFORE legalization... what anti weed lobby paid for this
Why does it have to be anti weed. Thats very basic minded. Thsts why you stay a slave to your politics.
This happens to those entering the country illegally because others know they don't want to be caught so they can exploit them.
They pay great money here in Michigan for trimmers if anyone sees this comment and is in an illegal state or something.
Excellent point. I detest human trafficking and any exploitation. But, if I went into a country illegally to make money for home, can I really expect anyone will care about my human rights when I'm not legally even documented to be there? I detest scummy, cruel people. But, for a moment let's step back and realize that going somewhere illegally isn't the best idea for many reasons. Maybe do your best to seek political asylum or some other process to help your family that doesn't cause you undue harm. It's just a thought. I hate what happened to this lady. It's freaking awful. But, human traffickers are just looking for people to come here without support or protection to exploit. Then there are the other kind that kidnap you. That is a whole other ball game.
@Jesse Kawaii I get that. It just makes it harder to help these folks. We don't know they've been trafficked. It's a damn nightmare for the victims and authorities because they have no idea crimes are being committed or can't respond. I'm sympathetic. It's awful. I don't know what to do about it
Learn to do your chores, homework, be nice to your siblings without being told and stay at home until you graduate from college with a job and keys to your own apartment.
You could do everything right and still get dragged. Better to be offensive than defensive
I don’t understand how you can literally commit a criminal act essentially cutting the line ahead of possibly millions of people trying to get access to the same opportunities you desire (the legal way) and try to garner sympathy with some sob story in how you were exploited. They say first impressions are everything. Coming here illegally you are breaking the laws of this land. I don’t know the desperation in your hearts because it is not my experience. I’m not judging the choice itself in making that decision. However, I’m not going to feel sorry for people looking for pity in trying to take the short and (what they may think) easy way. Is this story sad? Of course. This world is full of demons. If it sounds too good to be true, ITS A SCAM. That’s the human way. Everything comes down to the dollar (or peso). Nothing in this country is free not even WATER. We have our own citizens living in the streets because they can’t afford to LIVE.
Put your trust in God our Creator you can’t go wrong.
You know this is their land right?…….the only people who came to this country illegally is European whites.
Just think. If she never illegally entered the United States, None of this would have happened to her. This is only one person's fault.
This is so awful..,. On the other hand they wouldn't be able to do this to people if they weren't undocumented... don't come illegally.... prayers for this woman and her family
This has been going on for years... especially when marijuana was illegal. We use to hear in California about the cartel kidnapping workers in Mexico and bringing them into the U.S. The cartel would threaten these people's families in Mexico if they didn't harvest the marijuana crop.
Weed getting the blame 😂
More than just weed
Right not like millions come to work in the regular crop fields
For real. This happens at every farm. Sadly at many other industries too. Nail spas and strip clubs both have this problem.
Why would your friend tell you to go to that place to work
If everyone is scared into silence, nothing will ever get better.
Also, I bet that cartel sells meth and crack too. A meth cartel or crack cartel or sex trafficking cartel would be a better way to describe it. Drug cartels are almost all the same. They might different departments but it's usually the same drug cartel.
This is very sad.
So basically the states that don't legalize weed force the Marijuana industry underground. That woman is a direct victim of the state not legalizing weed
It's legal where she is. She's NOT a victim. She paid thousands to criminals to commit a criminal act. She's here illegally, knows it's wrong & doesn't care. The reason they're paying to be trafficked in is because they don't have a legal asylum claim. They aren't being politically persecuted, either. They're taking advantage of the opportunity to get in the door knowing they won't be deported right now. She's a victim of her own actions. They don't get to break our immigration laws, enrich the cartels, then claim they're a victim. They're completely destroying our country & their own lives. If you care about illegal migrants, you'll demand our border is closed. The most humane thing we can do is seal the border & enforce our immigration laws. It'll not only save thousands of lives, but will save millions from being in debt bondage to cartels for yrs. They need to come legally or not come. 🇺🇸🙏🏼💞
@@Teri_B.Wow! Finally someone with some Goddamn sense! All these people crying over this as I'm sitting here watching this on Hulu but can't stand to watch any more of it so I thought I'd read some of the comments on RUclips about it knowing what to expect as I live in California where our politics is completely screwed and assbackwards. Yeah I feel bad for them as they are human beings and true I can't see that anyone else would want to work the strawberry fields, etc. for next to nothing, but liberal policies bring their own problems. There's a right way and a wrong way of doing things for a reason and ultimately that reason is to preserve the US so that it doesn't end up becoming like the failed country that Mexico is with all kinds of problems and corruption. We already have enough problems with everything else as it is without needing to worry about more of this stuff adding to it.
Is this weed any good?? Like who buys outdoor field weed anymore?
yikes
It's weird you don't hear about these issues in Mexico, so what are they running from?
Do the cartels take turns on the farms ? It's just not mak8ng sense
This is anti legalization propaganda. It's lies.
Are you sure this is in America? And not Mexico.
They will stop.
What Goes Around Comes Around"
I heard the farmed weeds quality is pisspoor.
This is prob why.
I know some people who would volunteer there. No need for violence.
unfortunate...
it's probably just local "authorities" doing "their job".
Her story sounds rather odd. She illegally came to the US (okay, fine, i can accept that, it does not make her a bad person). She fell 13 feet and could only limp yet ran for one hour as the border patrol cased her(that´s a pity story, makes no sense limping yet running)...She worked for 2 days in texas (means working illegally) and then was offered another illegal job in Oregon on a farm (this all tells me her intentions were not to get a visa, but instead to work illegally)....Then you have that she thought she was working on a farm yet she happened to be sent to a pot trimming farm (and coincidentally she had pot trimming experience in her past (oh boy what a coincidence for her) lol she knew very well she was coming to the US all along to be part of working in the drug industry. But this story is made so we feel pity for her? I am sorry, I feel no pity for people who move to another country to sell drugs, or make drugs, or work passing out poison, no matter the circumstances...There are many illegal immigrants who work illegally, and that is life, that does not make them a bad person. But being illegal and making your money in an illegal business makes you a criminal, and i do not have pity for criminals. She could have worked another job illegally that was not drugs etc and I would feel bad for her. But with this story I say send her back home and ban her from the US. Criminals in any country should not be welcome. Illegal immigrants who are working a normal job are perfectly fine.
Use your ears bro, her experience was in agriculture. They didn't say specifically pot. Many people in Mexico work in agriculture, like picking produce. She came to work (yeah probably illegally) but she didn't come to work to be threatened, intimidated, and controlled by armed gunman.
I disagree. I do not condone her coming to the country illegally but people need money to eat and she needs food, shelter and send money for her 3 kids.
No legit job in USA would take in illegals. Legit job needs to file w2.
All illegals that came to America and expected free meals, shelter are delusionals.
As a single mom, my heart goes out for her but still, she needs to be deported.
Follow the legal procedure.
@@iDelta77 hah. Wish life was cake pops and frappechinos. But people think they own everything. The land was here way long before you or I. Also, the people who are originally from this geologic location were Mexicans and native. Y'all fuckin wanna talk about legal. If you haven't noticed. Alot of laws are apparently to provide infrastructure but then again about 7 trillion trillion dollars of our generated tax revenue goes MISSINING every year. Funny that you think any of your life's were created without unjust or inhumane war tactics. An I'm also pretty sure there's going to be a pretty big war over what seems to be a 10 miles stretch of land (Taiwan). Compared to China that is. Idk. YALL JUST NEED TO MIND YO BUSINESS. for real. Cuz y'all complain but don't really know the slightest of what's actually going down. Y'all just wanna see it how your government wants it to be viewed. If drug cartels are such a problem maybe there should be better systems implemented to reduce the amount of DEMAND us AMERICANS are ASKING for. Some even BEGINNING ON THE STREETS. Brothers DYING for it. Mother's sacrificing their children for it. Sisters hoeing for it.
Uhhh....don't illegally cross our border???? Please??? What the fqq
This isnt Mexico..
😔💔
And what cartel exactly?
If you can't afford to have 3 children , don't have them.
S t f u
weed... still not killing people.
Weed cartels????? Now I done heard it all. Also I bet my life that female is like but I still love him. What a world
The news station needs to do a deep dive into the whole life of this woman from family living in Mexico until now... We need both or 3 sides of the story, NOT JUST BLEEDONG HEART FOR ILLEGALLY CROSSED LATINOS
Another story of horrors 💔 😭.
And we call ourselves civilized.....I don't think so. Not until all humans are treated with civility & compassion.
And, criminals are treated as criminals. She doesn't get to pay thousands to criminals to enter illegally then claim to be a victim.
She ain't no victim and she walks away with more cultivation experience under her belt. Anyways 👉🌱
But they should have stay where they was and then they wouldn't be in this predicament show their faces like you show everybody else's face
So if you had children to provide for you wouldn't go to lengths for them?
Stop victimizing criminality!!!
Wow.... So it was that easy to hop out border??? I'm left leaning but that's ridiculous!
They're paid "really well" and told they're there for two weeks. Then she won't say for how long. Then the cops come and she hides. Then she says they confiscated everything and didn't get paid. It's hard to feel sorry for them. It should be a deportation. They claim they're victims to get out of it.
Weed is not completely legal.
We need The Kingdom!
This is far worse than smuggled to Martha Vinyard....but far less political...this is Gavin Newsom watch....
Weed cartell right 😂
✝️
Lies,all lies!!
No empathy I’m sorry. Come here illegally and well it’s your own fault. We need to close our borders. Enough already
This is not an issue about sovereignty. When you die and are judged, I hope God has Mercy on you just as you were so merciful.
Lmao weed cartels
If it was the cartels she would of just stayed in Mexico
Exactly
The democats lovely world.
They did wanna come here to work just saying🤷♂️😆 The grass isn't always greener on the other side of the border😆
This is a human trafficking issue, regardless of why someone is trafficking a person, it’s a crime against humanity. It’s like saying, they were a drug addict, or lost, homeless but it’s ok to rape them, treat them like animal and enslave them. Nice to know who is the Nazi in this thread and if you think your mentality is anything above that, it’s time you get to some soul searching.
Remember democrats said they would make it legal
Now we have cartels that specialize in a certain drug.
Is there some governing body to regulate who gets
to have a cartel on different drugs.
Human trafficking seems a poor choice for expanding
profits as adding another drug like cocaine to your
existing supply line would be easier.
I sweat the horseshit you guys come up with gets
lamer by the year.
no it didn't. Black market is gone. No money in weed anymoe. This is total BS lie.
Why do you think democrats?
Mindless chatter out of your ass. Congrats to your parents 👍
The problem starts when the local government legalized marijuana
Biden needs to be held accountable
Bullshit. Grow a brain. Some alien crosses the border illegally and works in the US running and hiding from authorities like a roach and Biden is the problem? Look up Bartolo Fuentes if you know how to read. I'm glad these people had a bad experience in the US and wanted to go back home. What about that liar trump that promised the American people that he would build a wall and make Mexico pay for it??
