Love your enthusiasm. Idea for your new Enmasse project. Make a list of your categories. Alphabetize the list. Then number your tabs in your book. Then add the numbers on your alphabetized list. That way when your looking for the category you can just find the number! This saves a lot of time instead of constantly flipping through the tabs for each category you’re re looking for. I did this after I started my Enmasse book and it made me happy not to have to constantly flip through every time🙂. And to get out every dab of glue, when my stick is down to the plastic I use a palette knife and dig out the last drop. You’ll get lots more out of it before you toss it. Don’t feel bad about buying all those magazines. If we had a chance with all of us would probably do the same thing. In fact, I’m going to hunt down my thrift store and find out lol.😂❤😅 love your ideas!
Wow girl! Score! You'll have a blast going through all those magazines. Our Goodwill stores here are disgusting. Dirty, smelly, things strewn everywhere, and when they have magazines they sell them for $1.99 each. There is a Habitat for Humanity Re-store near hear that sometimes has them for 25 cents. However, I have enough magazines to last my life time. A lady gave me 180 National Geographics last year and about 2 weeks later I was driving down the street and saw that someone had stacked some magazines by the curb. It turned out to be about 70 more Nat Geos. My friend gave me about 50 Southern Living and I bought two large bags (about 60) of Food Network and Martha Stewart from a lady for $10. That's not counting all the free advertising and informational magazines that are published by the city/state. I pick those up in the supermarket every month. So, yeah, I'm a bit overwhelmed with magazines at the present. Your en masse is off to a wonderful start. Have fun!
If you don't want to make a numbered page index (which is a great idea) you could divide your book into sections of, say, 10 tabs or whatever works and color the tabs in each section a different color--green, red, blue, etc. Then make an index on the inside front cover (alphabetical for choice) and mark the color next to the word. It would narrow down your search. Can't wait to start my en masse book.
Hi Pink Kitty, love your idea for random word picker. I set up my glue book like a bullet journal, I number all the pages and then use the first 3 pages as an index. This starts my subject on a double page spread instead, and if I'm sure I have a certain word I can look in the index and find it much quicker. tfs

That's a great buy wish you lots of happiness in harvesting ALL those magazines. I got about 150 National geographic magazines for free off of Market place there is some dated back to the earlier 1960

The only problem is they sometimes don’t have any magazines that interest me. Can’t wait to watch the progress of this glue book.😊
I have an En Masse, I have written an index of the pages at the front of my book you could maybe colour mark certain pages through the book so you could find pages around it... For instance you could colour Sunshine with yellow or trees/plants with green, etc. It would help when hunting out pages... I have the alphabet and colours in my book but wished I'd put the alphabet in its own book and I already have a colour gb anyway... So if when I finish this one I will do my next one very different. Great find with the magazine bundles 😁🌼
