Nah bruh it is you living under the rock if you took that literal, if you are familiar, he has said the same about eminem, even though he had an older video about it already. XD most react channels use this tactic, because we the watchers are looking for first time reactions.

I think this about loads of songs he's reacted to. He gets a lot of obvious things wrong too like in Toy Soldiers he thought he em was "downtalking" Dre when he said "he's all over TV, downtalking the man who literally saved my life" it's obviously not about Dre. I like him though and still like watching him vibe to old tunes from my childhood and teens/early 20s. I can see how much he's into it and it reminds me how great those days were for music

Relax. He’s younger. If he says he hasn’t heard it. He hasn’t heard it. Why do you even care enough to insult such a great guy and channel? This is the best reactor out there now. If you have to take the time to insult him, you should take a second to leave the video. He’s spreading positivity and love. Why waste your time being negative?

    • @OrderedEntropy

Dre's definitely a producer before anything else. Most of his raps have been written by Ice Cube, D.O.C and MC Ren while they were in NWA, Snoop has written a bunch for him and Eminem writes pretty much anything the two of them are on together now. Jay Z wrote this song (both Dre and Snoop's parts) you can find Snoop talking about it on youtube.

The Chronic and especially 2001 are legendary and classic albums from Dre. Do not forget he came from NWA in the 80's. He is the best producer ever, and even if he doesn't write all his songs, his delivery and voice are one of the best ever in the game.

NWA was successful in part because of his production and he started the whole g funk era with the Chronic. That album was insanely big. His lyrics were written by guys like Snoop/DOC/Eminem/Ice Cube, but I think the success of Snoop/Eminem albums and beats made his production more well known to younger generations.

In those day a hip-hop DeeJay HAD to have the qualities of a producer in order to mix ANY music the people requested... on the fly... at a party. The 7 years between The Chronic and this follow-up album felt like a thousand years at the time. He says, "Since I left ain't too much changed" but 2Pac and Biggie came up AND died in that time and then came the factory production style of Master P/No Limit (who Snoop was tied up with at the time of this joint). This album hit hard and has a lot of classic tracks but it mostly just went off a pre-existing formula and didn't change the game like The Chronic had in the early '90s.

When NWA started up, Cube wrote the lyrics, Dre composed the beats and helped with some lyrics, and Easy financed everything. Yella ran the mixes, Cube, Dre, Easy, and Ren all rapped.
As for suggestions, I really do think 'I Need a Doctor' is worthy, if you haven't checked it out. It's a much more recent track, using a singing chorus with Eminem and Dre rapping, and rather poignant lyrics and video.
Also, there's some subtle nerding in the video too. (Bacta tank, anyone?)

I think in hip hop, someone who just makes beats is labeled a producer. In reality, a producer is much more than that. They steer the creation of songs, almost like a conductor of an orchestra. Dre decides not only what we hear in a song, but how the artist says their lyrics and how the song is structured. So I'd say Dre is a true producer. Even if he started as a rapper, he became much more. Dope videos man! Subbed!

Remember him when NWA came out. Then he dropped the Chronic which he rapped, so to me he was a rapper first.

All respect to Dr. Dre but a rapper he is not. He's always had ghost writers and never denied it. A production genius with a keen music ear he will always be. As for Khalid and Birdman, they wish they were producers. Mannie Fresh made the beats for Birdman's label. As for Khalid, he's Miami's version of Puffy. Sampling hits and getting other people to produce tracks then take the credit

He is a producer that raps. Well, he was. Nowadays, Dr. Dre is a brand. He has ghost writers. He has ghost producers. He's as meticulous as ever, but much less hands-on.
