Great tester and informative video. Will LinkIQ Cable+Network Tester PASS 10Gig while testing a Cat6 cable with good and proper termination within 180 ft ?
Is this a qualification tester like the CableIQ or is it a verification tester like the MicroScanner 2? Or a hybrid? What can the CableIQ do that this can't? This appears to do PoE testing that the CableIQ doesn't appear to do. Which is the better physical layer tester?
I understand that this device will tell you the switch name, switch port number, and vlan, but will it tell you the management IP address of the switch?
as an IT company owner, I love the concept, but the pricing can't be justified. I pull hundreds of drops a year and 99% of the time, I get buy with switch reports. I wish Fluke would find a way to support small businesses better who don't have million dollar projects or even $100k projects...
You should use the CableIQ for Coax testing - check out the handy tool selector on page 12 of this document: file:///Users/Anya/Downloads/7003551-b-en%20(3).pdf

haven't tried it yet, but if the switch is not permitting in-band management that's likely a no regardless.
yup, wish it can replace Linkrunner G2
@@ianik777 Why is that? Do you not like the G2?
so how do you make the report skip that part why??????
How do I get the auto test screen?
Can I test cable category 7 ?
it's compliant up to 10 gigabit so yes you can.

I dont think this new tester can, but the Cable IQ does test coax and will Qualify up to 1GB\1000Gbps.
