Great work - and hat's off to the supervisor who stopped by a few times to check on you!
The fixed spot on the right side of your deck extension would make the absolute perfect spot for a slotted tool holder for pliers etc....
Fantastic work! I have the same boat. So, you’ve helped me out tremendously! Thanks
I just bought a bass tracker the same! I need to do that very good excellent video !
I’ve had the same boat for the last year, and I’m starting to get some ideas for upgrades….thanks for the tips!
Love the boat build! I have a similar boat that I’ve been working on and after watching your build you’ve helped me out with ideas.
Thanks!
Great idea may have to try this in my tracker. The only thing that small space in front of console would use to put my pliers, scale and small things like that in there. That means the lid would go from one side to the other. Great job keep up the awesome stuff👍👍
Wow it came out very nice 👍🏽 👍🏽 I give you two thumbs up. Time to go fishing now. Ty for sharing.
Congrats on finishing your boat, it turned out great 👍Now it is time to fish
Excellent job, you cannot tell walking up what is stock and upgraded.
Beautiful work , nice job
Excellent work ! Very clean execution.
I have a 1997 bass tracker pro team 17, I just bought a new Vexus avx 1880 but I wanna do some stuff like this to my tracker just to make it Better because I still will want to use it to crappie fish. Great videos
Looks awesome !!
Very nice, looks great. Well done.
Well, I must say that you have done an incredible job. You should do this for a living. I have a 2002 pro guide v-16 that needs an enema. Wish you could work on it.
Hey buddy it’s J.J. From Iowa!! Your boat project has turned out awesome!! I absolutely love the looks of it & how it turned out!! I have an 18’ flat bottom boat & have been wanting to put a casting deck on the front of it for a couple years now but not quite sure how I’m wanting to do it?? But hopefully this year after I get my new pole barn up I’ll be able to work on it when I want to & no have to worry about it going to rain outside or not!! Lol!! Well now we definitely got to see you catch some donkeys now!! Good luck this year!! I’m also hoping that I’m able to get out more then twice like last year!! I absolutely love my flat bottom & can go in some really really shallow water where bass boats can’t get to!!
Awesome job.
Awesome job on the storage locker and rod locker. Just a thought/opinion, what if your on the top deck, casting for that behemoth bass & you want to try a different lure than what your throwing, you basically have to go to the aft of the boat to open the storage locker door because it opens up on the same side from where your fishing (not accessible). In my opinion I would have put the hinge on the other side/inside the storage unit (so it's hidden) or make the hatch split in the middle and open up to both sides (more $$ for gas springs though) of the boat, again just my thoughts/opinion. Great job, gives me ideas to tackle my boat.Thank you for your video.
So far i like the way it opens for me to change lures i either grab a different rod or need to retie so i sit on the rod locker and have access to all the tools to retie
Can you stand on the locker
Good job dude
Nice work , I hate that when you work so hard on something and you fix it upside down or done it wrong. Then you have to start all over again to fix it .
Great stuff, I Aways cut the long pieces out of plywood the long ways (with the grain) not side ways to prevent warpage even with treated wood it will warp.
So far so good hasnt been an issue yet
Contractor here grain direction on plywood doesn’t matter. The way it’s engineered is that each layer runs in alternating grains (criss crossed) so as to keep that exact issue of warping from happening.
@@flyhog8574 I must be a cheap bastard, mine has warped many times not the water mostly In the sun
What year is your boat ? This is EXACTLY what I want to do with my 2017.
What style of board did you use and was it pressure treated?
Great great job.
Can you tell me how you modified the LED strip controller to work on 12V?
It was made for 12v i just modified it so the two separate strips on each side of the boat are controlled by one remote control
@@PUTEMDOWNProductions How did you convert the controller to take a 12v input from the plug... just splice on new power leads?
They controller was designed for 12v so i just hard wired it directly to switch panel
www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07N1J8269?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
You can see the converter in the photos all that box does is convert 120v AC to 12v DC so just dont use that in the system
Looks great, what boat is that?
Tracker pro 17
any idea what the dimensions are for the rod locker.
Probably asked and answered somewhere but what was the product and process for painting the helm? I am rebuilding my 1991 tracker 17. Thanks!
Just used krylon spray paint and wet sanded alot with alot of coats
I wish I could get you to do my pro 17
Why didn't you seal the wood before carpeting?
It is AC2 treated
love your content! ive been looking for your upgrade to the rod locker but cant find the video. im looking to buipd the deck tonthe end of my steering column and im using your build as a template. any help would be great
Where’d you get the pod light mounts? I have the same boat and putting pods on it also
Amazon
So do you have anything to hold your rods in place in that box so the dont bounce around? Or do you just put rod socks on and let them bounce around? Im gonna cut the hole bigger but thinking of using a horizontal rod holder to hold the rod butts.
I have reel covers and rod socks so just let them all mingle, they dont bounce much in there
What size wood did you use for this ams was it just plywood
3/4 plywood
What vinyl did you get. I have a 2013 pro 170 with vinyl and need to match it.
Mine is nautolex shark grey color, cant help you with matching but i am very happy with it so far
Thanks.
How do you know what size gas struts you need?
I have a 1986 Bass Tracker TX17 that needs flooring thru out. Where r u located and what would u charge to redo the inside, I will pay for all parts and u can determine your rate. How we can do business.
I am in iowa would love to do it but super busy right now trying to build a house…
What thickness wood and size hinges are you using?
Thanks
3/4 plywood and not sure on hinges they were just aluminum piano hinges
How many yards or feet did you use for your entire boat
36ft
Do you do this for customers
No not at this time
Where did you get the latches from?
Amazon, all links are in the final review video
What vinyl did you use?
Nautolex
Where did you purchase the vinyl?
Defender marine online
@@PUTEMDOWNProductions How many yards did you buy?
17 total so 36ft
That’s not treated lumber is it? The chemicals they use to treat it will eat the aluminum.
AP2 treatment states it is safe for aluminum
@@PUTEMDOWNProductions what is AP2? If it’s pressure treated it contains copper which is the problem. Copper corrodes softer metals like aluminum.
