ABOUT THE BAND
Punk rock band with a mix of UK '77 and UK '82 style, hailing from Metz (France) and active since 1993.
Their sound is above all a matter of fans, without a career plan or any desire to appear original... In the beginning the trio was happy to cover songs from their favorite bands such as UK Subs, Cockney Rejects and Stiff Little Fingers... The formation was Caps on bass, Laurent on drums and vocals and Spirou on guitar.
The one and only vinyl trace of this formation will appear on the compilation "Le Bal des Vauriens"... They played in bars and concert halls for more than a year, until the departure of a member.
Without wasting time, they managed to fix the gap and quickly found two new members, Jeremya and Sandro, both coming from other bands... This new composition with the right feeling, led them to intensify recordings and concerts.
They spent a lot of time in studio, working on some EPs and getting into a very prosperous period.
In 1996 Jeremya let Caps and Laurent know that he no longer wished to continue, preferring to practice a more radical and politicized punk rock... Sandro decides to follow his friend and returns to Alsace.
The rest of the band will take little time to recover from this separation... With new memebrs, forming a quartet, they continued to gain a lot of success, mostly in Germany... More than half of the concert dates take place there, which is surprising given the difficulty that French bands face in exporting.
Between live performances, they have been working a lot on their first album, finally released on 1997 and titled "Appearance Judged", produced on Caps' Combat Rock label, which immediately had the effect of a bomb within the punk microcosm... This record will remain as one of the most important of the '90s.
The band found a way to bring together two cultures closely linked in the past, punk and skinhead... From a purely commercial point of view, this record is considered a real success since it far exceeds 10000 copies sold worldwide.
In their long lasting career of over 25 years, they released 10 studio albums and 10 EPs... Such a prolific band and one of the most known and most influential in the French punk panorama.
