Dude!!! Super sweet grip job and that is one beautiful setup!! I hope the gf doesn't get pissed that her best scissors were used to cut the Mob grip. Looking forward to your thoughts on it. I've always been curious about the Razor's Edge construction. At my local store one skater there says it did nothing for him. I was thinking it may have a nice feel. Enjoy and can't wait to see the review on it. Lastly it looks like the 8.5 trucks may be wide enough with those wheels.
Thanks a lot man! Yeah I can live with those trucks. I need to get a wider set on day. I’ve still not skated it yet. Can’t wait! I’m also going to do a video about the razor edge too at some point 👍
I skated a couple of eggs and they’re so fun, they’re really easy to flip as well! I’m currently skating a Scram Skates deck and it’s mental, weirdest shapes out there hahah Loving your recent uploads and the content just gets better and better! The long-form videos are so good and relaxing!
Can't wait to skate it yeah, its like nothing else I've tried! I would love to try a Scram deck at some point, which shape you got? I've looked at them before and you're right the shapes are bonkers (In a good way obviously!) Thanks for the feedback as well, really appreciate that! I've been enjoying making content for this channel the last few months
@@iamlazyskater I got the Macmillen Piper shape, saw Chris Milic skating it and it looked like a lot of fun and I can confirm that it IS a lot of fun! Totally changes the way I skate and just adds some fun and creativity, going down the shape madness rabbit hole is dangerous and expensive but it’s so worth it!
That's a sick setup, i'm dying for one of those heroin symmetrical boards, but sadly they don't sell yet in my country and can't find them anywhere around here :/ Shot out and greetings from Brazil!!
I prefer to drive 10 inch decks, but the short nose sometimes bothers me. That's why I got a 9.5 inch egg deck from welcome and actually had similar short trucks on it as you. But somehow that didn't suit me at all and I switched to thunder 161 trucks 9.125", which I like much better now. Yes It's a matter of taste. I have similar experience with the rails. The ones from Santa Cruz really hold up best!
Definitely all personal preference yes, thats part of the fun of set-ups I think. I feel really comfy on this deck. I would like to try slightly wider trucks at some point but I do wonder if the increased weight would be too much. I like to try and keep things as light as possible!
That'd be cool if it stopped raining outside, each time I have some time off work it rains in Yorkshire. I don't know where exactly in the UK you are, but I guess the weather is quite similar. I always enjoy your RUclips contents mate. Cheers
Hey mate I'm not too far away, I'm south of Liverpool. Its similar here yeah. Its hard to be organised with the channel when the weather is such a factor! Thanks for tuning in, appreciate it 🙌
@@iamlazyskater the news has been saying that June was going to be the hottest month ever recorded with temperatures close to 40°C , I really looked forward to that, but, well I guess it was the usual fake news, we really had temps just barely below 20°C and wet cloudy days often so far , and June is just over . I hope July and August are going to be good skateable summer months.
Nice, I’ve got the 8.75 symmetrical to set up for my next deck. Hoping to get away with my 149 hollows. Tip for truck bolts is to tighten the nut and just hold the allen side still. This limits the grip creasing.
Awesome! Mine looks like its ~8.75 over the trucks. The 9" which I briefly had was 8.5, so the 8.75 will most likely be a bit narrower. Thanks for the tip on the bolts, didn't think of that!
Lovely set up there mate, I've got a Curb Killer and you really have to move the rails in otherwise they don't really do anything on a board that wide.
Thanks mate! Yeah I was a bit worried about that. On my mandy I've got scratches in the middle already but it still makes slides super fast so not too bothered! The creature rails I got for that are really low profile
i just got one of these and don't have trucks yet. how have the 8.5 inch trucks worked on the 9.5 egg? I've got Indy 149s and figure its better to just use those than buy big trucks lol
haha no way. Yes they will be nice on the egg. 149s will work for the mandy I think so at some point iI'm going to get some 159 hollows for this egg and use the 149s on the Mandy!
its 9.125 width over the trucks so ideally its 169. I don't care too much about exact width so I'll probably end up getting a set of 159 hollows for this when I can afford it
Once you go big that comfort level is hard to give up isn’t it? Looking good!
100%! Really into the wider stuff at the moment 🙌
It's a version of the Popsicle shape and came out at the same time..... shaped decks are where it's at.... cool video
That thumbnail has such YTP vibes! I bloody love it bruv!
Damn I want one now so bad. Looks sick and love the grip job.
Thanks a lot! Really can't wait to skate it. Weather has been rubbish here so still waiting haha
Use 1” drywall screws and break them off on the other side with a pair of pliers before you grip it. They don’t break and won’t come lose.
really STOKED BOARD!!I need to get a setup like this now! Ops! JUST SUBSCRIBED FROM SARDINIA SURF AND STREET SKATEBOARDING CHANNEL YEWW
Curious, how old are you? I’m just g erring back on the board after a few years and this looks really appealing to me. Sick board man

just had a peep and that reminds me of the Hosoi hammerhead shape, its actually quite similar but looks like a more 'raw' version of if
Nice choice. I have this deck and love it. 14.25 wheelbase on a 9.5in deck + symetrical + razor edge = magic
Two sessions in now and absolutely love it! 🙌
That's a sick setup, i'm dying for one of those heroin symmetrical boards, but sadly they don't sell yet in my country and can't find them anywhere around here :/ Shot out and greetings from Brazil!!

tip do the rails after the trucks and wheels are on so you can line them up with the wheels.
Thanks 🙏

Thanks! Been having an absolute blast with it so far!
@@iamlazyskater looks cool. Would like to try it some time.
Skating a Dead Dave 10.1 with 215's. A lot of fun as well.
Nice! I was very tempted by the dead Dave but it was just a bit too wide for my liking. I might try it one day though 👍
What's the width over trucks? Which Indy would be best for this deck, 159 or 169?
its 9.125 width over the trucks so ideally its 169. I don't care too much about exact width so I'll probably end up getting a set of 159 hollows for this when I can afford it
Is that my mate Foz who did those graphics ?
I think Foz owns Heroin but I don't know if he designs the graphics or not. I know some are done by artists he choses
Did u say u weren’t doing the music channel anymore
Not at all. I'll still be doing that as my main channel and posting here when I can 👍
@@iamlazyskater ok lol i mustve had a weird fever dream or mixed something up
@@iamlazyskater going to pick up an egg deck tomorrow at ccs hopefully when they pen , was watching reviews ha
haha no worries man! and thats dope you're picking one up. I'm loving mine so far!
Bro id pay u to make me one.
That looxs lika a ytp
9.5 Jesus haha
😂 big boy! That is only at the widest point at the middle though
put some ace 77s or 169s on that thing and skate a bowl. you will never ride a 8.25 again
mahalo for sharing....fat and almost 50 just bought the deck
Nice hope you enjoy it! I’ve been loving it so far
