I used these with the Team Catfish weight slides to make a ruclips.net/user/postUgkxdmsDj7fQXe77DC0l7P7ua8B3PiESUubM Carolina rig and they were perfect for the ponds I fish. I have also used them to make 3 way rigs and these work perfectly. Haven't had any issues with them snagging in rocks or in weeds yet.
@@parkersburgslawnranger3720 me too.but iv used up my stock of both over the last couple of years, what do you reckon to a few church roofs missing there flashing before these lads cast there weights😅
Good job but Just an advice Always wear a Mask FFA2P3 when you melt lead and wear Also protective glasses gloves and a protection suit that Is useful to protect you from lead particles.
Hiya smash I watched your lead weight making im wanting to make weights out of 22mm and 28mm copper pipe the 28mm ones I want to make for boat fishing would this work as I use 9oz and 10 oz on boat here in UK as its all sand plus charter boat fishing,
good lead making advice there! if you cut a similar groove to the copper pipe in the wood then the lead wouldnt leak as much ? where do you normally get your lead from ? my local scrapyard doesnt sell anymore! im a new subscriber, cheers and keep the vids comming
Gary Threadgill I didn’t have one mate this was a random thing haha we just cut it to what we thought would be 6 once’s at the end an made then that way , thanks for watching 🎣
I use engineering bricks with the holes in on sand. Just sit the brick on top of the wire grippers, push to seal, put the wire eyes in and pour the lead.

great video I like making my own sinkers also .
I use old spark plugs for rough ground fishing most garges give them free a lot cheaper then lead .
anthony thrumble - Sounds better than old lug nuts. For sure.

Mark Searle I get my lead from work mate I’m a builder so we get a lot of scrap luckily, thanks for watching 🎣
If you use a wheeled pipe cutter you won’t need to file the ends.
Just wondering, did you weigh the copper ‘throwaway’ leads?

looks like a similar set of methods to what I use..
“Rice christmas treats.” Lol!!!! Good one kid!!!
Drop a pea sized particle of wax into your melt pot on top of the molten lead to flux the impurities out..
Good
“ wait for it to dry”
Fill is fill of concrete super cheap
They're not that expensive to begin with but good to know
Were do u get Ur lead from ??
scott Harris I’m a builder mate my boss gives it to me 🎣 thanks for watching

drill hole in a pebble and glue in a twist of copper wire.. conger will wondering where the hell the weight was..
Just use concrete it’s a lot cheaper then lead and safer for waters.

Has Danno shown you our version 😎
And the bait droppers 🐟 🤣
Isn’t lead illegal
Well noing metal for sea fishing and cours fishing
Pour water in the hot lead it cleans it
DylanCee 96 😂😂😂
Sure lol 😂
M8 dont do that led will pop wen water hits the led it happend to me i dident no there was water in the old led pipe to clean it better use candle wax
Sit it in sand instead of a piece of wood no leaks from bottom 👍
Killing brain cells but saving money
I did stuff like that as child. I suspect I’ve have lead exposure now.
