I live in Ottawa and there is not a single bar, or any place whatsoever that stays open after 12pm
That makes sense. Bar 3 is full of people who would probably be the least judgmental. Of course the environment would be filled with happiness, fun, and excitement when there are no people with their pushy judgments, pushing their uncomfortableness on anyone they point it at.
That's why I love going to gay bars and I'm straight. They feel very welcoming and safe. No alpha male bs there at all.
Gosh yea drag bars are insane. Last time I was at one, I ended up in a dance-off with one of the entertainers. I eventually lost because I just ran out of energy and was sweating up a storm lol

I Love Drag Bars!
My first time in Drag was at the 40 Watt Club in Athens, Ga. (Where R.E.M. got their start). I was with a mixed group of friends and the girls decided that they were going to dress up all of the guys for the club. Long story short, I ended up winning Miss Heinous 1999 at that club!
I had an absolute blast!
That night opened my mind to a lot of possibilities about life and what I was brought up to believe. It also opened my mind to learning more about myself. That was 20 years ago and I am 52 now. Far less of a party person, but with so many stories that I can hardly remember.
I've never seen road house whoops I guess I need to rethink my life priorities 🤷♀️

Ive been to a drag bar before in new york and it was pretty much how it was described here, maybe a little more chaotic. My and a couple buddies went out of drag, and there was another group there same as us, just exploring the NYC night life, and we hung out with some queens as well. One of the most fun nights ive ever had

I haven't been to one since the pandemic began, but during the "before time" I used to visit a couple different bars on the way to or from other events (such as a concert, play, or social gathering). But the bar scene in the east coast, whose cities have decent transit and tend to be walkable, is quite different from anything in L.A., which is strictly a car city. So how did you get around? Did you hire an Uber or Lyft?

Had a good friend in high school in theater club who became a drag queen after graduation. He invited me to a show at one of the bars. That's where I met his lover and found out that they were both bie. Everything was cool until I needed a place to crash for the night because I lived on the other side of the city. They were totally cool about not touching me, it was great. Consent is a giant deal to them. They actually ended up keeping me awake and giving me a makeover that was pretty awesome. I wish I had half their makeup skills. When I finally did get to sleep on the couch it was pretty cool. I don't really fall asleep easily in strange places but they were so respectful, it was really cool.
I had had a minor crush on the guy who invited me. But after meeting his lover and finding out he was bie, that was just a bridge too far for me cuz I was young and barely out of high school.

You got into that club bc you are a vet and most show a lot of respect for those who have served in military. You have told that you were injured and somehow i think that your behavioral + visible scar/missing bodyparts are more telling you think. Or they knew you were there to test/review the place. Nobody is as blank paper as they think.
