How to Clean Blocked Heat Exchanger Tubes - Heat Exchanger Drilling

This video shows how to use Projectile Tube Cleaning's system to cleaning totally clogged heat exchanger tubes. The system is a specialized heat exchanger drill that drills through tube deposit and cleans the heat exchanger tubes. The heat exchanger drill will not damage the tube surface because the drill tips are undersized from the tube inner diameter. After drilling and opening up the heat exchanger tubes a secondary cleaning method such as shooting projectiles or chemical cleaning is utilized in order to clean the tubes completely. Heat exchanger tube drilling is a very effective method for removing deposits from completely blocked heat exchanger tubes.
