Let me tell you one thing: There are no absolutely no words that could describe my love for this unprecedented masterpiece. When I first smelled Bel Respiro in one of the chanel boutiques I was like this can't be true. I'ts the scent I have been looking for my entire life. It evokes so many positive memories, I'm very bad at describing scents but it's like smelling fresh, grassy air on a rainy morning during spring. I own the 200 ml Edp version and I will repurchase this forever. I'm addicted to this and I wear it during Spring and summertime only as this is definitely not a winter fragrance. It gives me so much joy and pleasure it's almost surreal. If you can, and if you are into that kind of perfumes, give it a try. Maybe it's will make you just as happy as it made me. My signature scent for sure!!! Thank you so much Chanel!
Lanier my dear!!! You are a sweetheart :) I laughed so much when you mentioned the unboxing. haha! I really am a bit overly gentle (to not say "obsessive") with my collection :) Thank you so much for the shoutout!
You are so very welcome for the shoutout. We have to support good reviewers and get the word out on them. I am super flattered to have you Super Dacob along for the ride! In my book there is nothing wrong with a little obsession when it comes to fashion, perfume and life! Big hugs to you.
Great and beautiful review! Wow, what a fabulous idea!!! Criss-cross style-hunting, oooh you could start a whole tv show on that idea alone! I just didn't get Bel Respiro and gave my sample away..... now I wish I didn't so I could smell along! WAIT WAIT WAIT!!! I found a spare sample! Yep, there it is. Hmmmmm I like it mixed with the sweet something I have sprayed on since my trip to the shops today, and after your review I certainly appreciate it more, much more.... but still it is way to dry and lonely for me. But your descriptions omg, with a glass of champagne right now I could sit happily with this fragrance all night :)
Me too...I can still draw impressive stick figures and my ashtrays are a sight to behold. Most naysayers consider them to be grossly deformed rubbish while others--the more intelligent and insightful types--luxuriate in their impressionistic artistry. Gotta go...The Three Stooges are on shortly. I believe it's the episodes involving Curly and his subtle reaction to Wild Hyacinth perfume. Woob, Woob, Woo!!! (lol)
Jim R Oh the famous Lost Stooges episode where they go to Paris and they get into all kinds of trouble and Larry has to stand in for Elsa Schiaparelli at her fashion show describing the ensembles While Moe and Curly try to free Miss Schiaparelli's feet from a bucket of cement at the Louvre. (during which they knock over the Winged Victory and set fire to the Mona Lisa.) I love that episode. Your right, the Wild Hyacinth perfume scene in Les Galleries Lafayette is the highlight. (And just think it was all shot on the back lot and the sound stages of Colombia Pictures ah the magic of the movies of the golden age of Hollywood.)
Lanier, I bow to your superior Stooge knowledge. I was actually referring to the episode titled, "Grips, Grunts and Groans" in which Curly must enter the wrestling ring while impersonating Bustoff (pro wrestler) after he gets schnockered while under their supervision, and subsequently knocked-out when the boys accidentally drop dumbbells and a gym locker onto his gourd. I love all of the old slapstick humor.
Jim R I have to come clean Jim...my movie is a complete fabrication of my goofy imagination. BUT here is the Wild Hyacinth scene! ruclips.net/video/kgtJIZZOiFQ/видео.html
Lanier your on a roll with the Exclusifs and good on you. I hate to admit i have never smelled this but I'm going to dig thru my sample box now to give it a try. I think my next Exclusif will be No.22 :)
Ohhhhhh No.22 now there is a beauty. I read or heard somewhere that it was in the sample test line up by Ernst Beaux when Mademoiselle Chanel picked NO.5. It has been described as NO.5 but with an airier lighter touch. I have one of those rare 4mil sample mini bottles. I just love those! I will be looking forward to your NO.22 review.
Very enjoyable video. I did grin a bit when you said: horses sweat. Like always, after watching your videos, I cannot wait for your next reviews. Keep m coming.
So what I gathered is that you're a stalker? LOL beautiful, Lanier, just beautiful recollection of your time in Paris! Congrats on a beautiful new bottle, it sounds divine, and just something I might enjoy. I love green! And the new release from Lalique, wow, sounds fascinating. Can't wait for the upcoming reviews.
What keeps it from being stalking is that you only follow each person for a short while and then like a pinball machine bounce off onto the next. I call at a Parisian Waltz! I will be doing the Lalique Le Collections Parumees next.
Oh Nooooooo ---- Lanier is a stalker ! LOL All jokes aside ... that is a nifty way to see a city ... especially Paris! What a beautiful house Bel Respiro is and what a beautiful perfume too!
You are on! First ... off to the Champs Elysee to Guerlain - stroll over to Rosine at the Palais Royal and then whizz over to the left bank so I can tell off Frederic Malle for selling to Estee Lauder ! If I am not in jail after the "telling off" ..... lunch at La Coupole where we will have a Lanier Special - a champagne cocktail !!!! LOL
Oooooh haul time! Still here :D BTW subbed to Dacob, what a cool name! x Hug via the winds again ( we just had a little cyclone so my messages have been arriving a little late) x x x
I know Bowling Green-- been around for a long time-- If you want an AMAZING mens fragrance , try Grey Flannel by Geoffrey Beane-- its bloody amazing. And its my all time favorite mens fragrance
Funny you should mention that, I have a vintage bottle from the 80's and it is amazing. There is real distaste out there in the RUclips frag community for this one. That boggles my mind. Maybe the new formulation is bad. I don't know.
Great video as usual. and you should make videos just telling stories because apparently you're full of good ones and the way you move from one point to another is very intriguing.
No, It was very interesting and flattering to those you followed. Fashion is life. I kept on smiling the whole video. I watched this after watching the Oscars and actually your video was better/
I'm watching you again. I saw Dacobs new video today. The two of you really bring perfume to life with stories and history. I hope you do return. I hate to think I've missed your time here on youtube.
Hi Lanier-- You have the best perfumes videos on You Tube-- Such a classy guy you are. Dont forget Clive Christian, if you can do it.. love to see review on that line xoxo
Do you think that fragrance reviews are like fine wine tasting! evoking memories of places, fine foods, flavours, walking in the fields on a summers day etc.

Bel Respiro is one of those rare fragrances that immediately takes me to a special place. Brilliant compilation and fragrance.
