Red Velvet never let us down with the quality and creativity of their concepts. Not all K-pop groups can be this diverse and can pull of weird, creepy, and nostalgic concept at the same time. Releasing this in Bach's birthday, while using "Air" as their sample + the combination of dark and bright tones is out of this world. I guess this is why it took so long for Red Velvet to come back. Every part of the song is not boring and was filled with many meanings. They're not the most popular K-group, but they are the most unique and high quality female group!
Something that should be said about Red Velvet - not just music genres, but they really break the barrier that girl idol groups stop being "fresh" or can't stay on top once they're late 20's-30. And part of the reason is that some of the members debuted "older" than the average idol, which in a way benefits them. Cuz now they can own the mature image.
Red Velvet have built their own one unique genre, their each song radiates such beauty and grace.....not to mention the angelic voice of all the girls. They are really different from all the other groups with their eye-catching charisma and melodious songs. Red Velvet never fails when introducing new concepts. The visuals and costumes in this is probably the best so far. And their vocals are always top-notch (particularly Wendy, for me, but any of them can rock)

Red Velvet never let us down with the quality and creativity of their concepts. Not all K-pop groups can be this diverse and can pull of weird, creepy, and nostalgic concept at the same time. Releasing this in Bach's birthday, while using "Air" as their sample + the combination of dark and bright tones is out of this world. I guess this is why it took so long for Red Velvet to come back. Every part of the song is not boring and was filled with many meanings. They're not the most popular K-group, but they are the most unique and high quality female group!

Something that should be said about Red Velvet - not just music genres, but they really break the barrier that girl idol groups stop being "fresh" or can't stay on top once they're late 20's-30. And part of the reason is that some of the members debuted "older" than the average idol, which in a way benefits them. Cuz now they can own the mature image.

Red Velvet have built their own one unique genre, their each song radiates such beauty and grace.....not to mention the angelic voice of all the girls. They are really different from all the other groups with their eye-catching charisma and melodious songs. For this comeback, the MV was so aesthetically pleasing, the MV director and their stylist have worked really hard this time ( especially seulgi's black outfit was just chef kiss )

This is song and MV, for me, is peak Red Velvet. It's stunning to look at and the song has a really interesting and unique sound. I wasn't expecting this kinda sound from them, but I really really like it. SM is getting better and better and homogenizing the Red and the Velvet. So, glad to have the ladies back in my ears with a new track.
I've long given up trying to describe RV's sound - and this mv is absolutely stunning. Also I really love the way the songwriters incorporated Bach's Air on a G-String.

One thing that makes them stand out is that they never go with the sound trend but they make their own sound. With their vocals and experimental sounds they can make a MASTERPIECE. Maybe some may not see it but for me this is one of the best red velvet music, from the playful to calming sound of it to their angelic vocals and how they always manage to harmonize greatly.
