Someone made a TikTok video about how inappropriate "Love Actually" , one of the classic Christmas romantic movies , is for today. They listed the reasons why it doesn't align with all the woke "rules and regulations " movies and society follow today and I realised that it's one of the main reasons why I make sure I watch it every year . It's pure entertainment...no lecturing , no posturing, no woke agendas ..just fun , humour , romance and good old fashioned love at Christmas time . I'm so sick and tired of being preached at in movies that I no longer go to the cinema....I think the last film I watched in an actual cinema was Jumanji which was before COVID I believe! What happened to having fun and being entertained at the movies ???
I miss being entertained at movies and do enjoy being educated or lectured.
You say that..... while defending this movie which is ALL CULTURE WAR ALL THE TIME.... Which is expressly the thing they said they didn't want the movie to be.... and it is just poorly done like not "I was offended" just things like the camera placements, pacing, random terrible audio, bad jokes again not offensive just bad.... just a bad movie..... You ever hear of "The room".... that is about the quality of this movie.
In 1974 a brilliant comedian crafted a satirical movie that became an icon. In 2017 same comedian said that that movie couldn't be made now ( 2017) because of :" stupidly politically correct climate ". The name of comedian is Mel Brooks and the movie was Blazing Saddles. It is doubtful that Lady Ballers will achieve same iconic status, but it is fantastic to see that someone is willing to give same type of middle finger to current absurdity.

I dedicated everything I had to my children, I loved them beyond measure, all I ever ask is for them to respect, others, and to be kind. Lia is neither kind, nor does he respect others. I find that unforgivable.

@@woobiefuntime I can understand that. The thing is, my boys are grown, they are good, family men. I was there for them, my husband and I gave them a strong foundation. One's done service, in other countries, they all attended collage, but they kept their values. I think the majority of us have children they are proud of, I think family is still strong. It doesn't fit the narrative though, and Lia does.

Actually, if you do some digging you’ll find that there was a group of boys at a Toronto high school who proceeded with this exact premise and were later found out when one of the guy’s girlfriends blew the whistle on t. It’s not public knowledge but internal Ontario teachers info will indeed prove it happened.

When I want to watch a new movie, I always go to Rotten Tomatoes. If the critics give it a low rating but the fans love it.....I'm watching it. Critics are too artsy and woke to have a good time. The audience is more apt to be down to earth enough to get good entertainment.
Nah, I tried to watch it, it is pretty much junk. Just like an Adam Sandler movie, so in a regular world it would be a smash at the box office ;)

The 2002 movie, Juwanna Mann, was about a male basketball player that impersonated a woman to continue to play basketball because he couldn’t for the men’s league any longer. That movie was hilarious. Why was it okay then and not now?
