Whenever I try to take such small steps people react negatively like 'isse kitna fark padega' 'plastic ke bina kaise kaam chalega' 'yaar ye baate sunane me achchi lagti hai but practically possible nahi hain' like that. But, I beleive these small things can bring in big changes.

To attract new generation and make them use it, it should be customized like ceramic cups by printing proverbs, pictures, corporate/festival gifts...

China had launched the same product in plastic. My parents had bought it for travel purpose but it is not leak-proof so it is only sitting as a display-piece inside the crockery cupboard.

I saw a customer bring his own cup to a cafeteria the other day. The server told him he could not use it because he could not measute the exact 8oz or 12oz for the drink.

I wonder how our parents n grandparents were always eco friendly. They were always careful about even lil things like always carrying their own steel cutlery which us safe n reusable. Byt somehow we find it not so cool n moved ahead with plastic and thermocol. Its more or less like going back to what they used to do. Subha ka bhoola shaam ko ghar aaye 😃
That's bcs plastic wasn't a common thing back then.
Go to any country and ask them how things were before plastic and they all will tell you how they used to carry groccery bags for market, for milk there used to be milkman etc just like India.
In east asian culture primarly in China they used Calabash, a type of gourd as water bottle. Interesting isn't it?
Every country used whatever they had. Thus, everything was eco-friendly back then. They didn't even hv to think of sustainability bcs it just happened by itself.
However the need for something that doesn't break , doesn't get wet, easily available and non-damagable led to discover of plastic. Ironically the blessing turned into curse. 😔
Back to old village days.. when everyone used to carry their own utensils when going to a marriage or any such function... Our ancestors were much better

Ban of single use plastic material is only on paper not on ground..I can still see shops hiding polythene bags and if checking is done by authorities they either hide those polybags or official take bribe and leave the place.implementation should be strict..and second people should also understand bcz if they won't start denying of these polybags then nothing would change..I always carry cloth bag with me whenever I leave outside..so other should also do.

Brilliant idea. Have you considered selling this idea to state government yet? This should be adopted by the government and implemented at school level itself to make it a habit and smart way of lifestyle. I have been carrying steel container all my life in my bag. Exactly, but decomposable. Using this utensil again and again may do really need a washing care, else khaa pi k jutha fold krke barbar bag me rakhne se contamination v toh ho skta...washing it frequently not only increase the use of washing soda but water too
@somjit Mitra ofcourse just after using this you can give it a quick wash of water and after going home a proper wash can b done, that's more convenient and frees the utensils of any germs, just like we do for home utensils. Ofcourse leafs too are a good option but again they will somehow increase the litter which keeps on lying around for days
@sandhya it is only we come home and wash it properly then it is possible... Not between the 9-5 office hours, or in market, the product is not much feasible for office workers... It only seems cute and useful but it while using it u will simply face complications and nothing... Biodegradable methods are much better and proper litter management is always there...

What if someone wants to eat chaat from a street shop . Most of the street shop uses SUP plates , bowls to serve food. And the size of the reusable cutlery is not enough to eat chaat , chowmin , papdi etc in it. It is a very good invention and can actually help to stop the use of SUP products to some extent , but along with it if we promote the use of plates and cups made from dry leafs would actually enhance the move to stop using the SUP products

There's a serious issue plz try to understand..... See i was watching your channel everytime but since few months i am not watching it.... And this is the case with most of the viewers (possibly)
The problem is that your content is full of new innovations but people don't adopt to new things instantly... It takes some time and in that phase your new video arrives again breaks the chain. I am not saying that your videos are not good or i hate you... NO! I just want you to plz think on this topic... And add some other things to your content.... Try to actually get connected to your audience first... Do live sessions show us detailed research papers on the environmental issues.....

My suggestion is to first completely ban the production of these plastic things and replace these plastic cutlery plates and glasses with banana leaves ....the government should provide employment to the workers of cmpanies that shut down with making of clay glasses and plates...this is environment friendly as well as helps our poor potters and farmers who have banana plantation... serve people in banana leaves These were our ancient practice too in festivals and functions.. especially in southern india
This will lead to extra steel production, leading to increased CO2 emissions. We must revert back to whatever our ancestors used to do before plastics and Stainless steels were in use.

Sir your product is completely appreciable hats off 👏 the idea is totally amazing but when you think of actually using it, it limits the using capacity. People are now way to comfortable with plastic/paper utensils that now if they feel like using a product like this most of the people would not preferring buying. One of the reasons is utility, as you use this cup once it limites the usage bcz ofc you need to wash it and reuse it, generally people use cups highly of water or cold drink products but the availability of plastic bottles and direct usage from it cant be replaced by your product, futher vendors/shopkeepers have fixed quantity of selling that is decided upon the single use utensil for example you went to a chai stall and ask for a cup of chai in this how would he measure the amount of chai he has to serve as per unit of sale?? also the design matters today market is all about WANTS than NEEDS, I feel like the design of your product should be convincing to the customer to buy it no doubts the foldablility and the size of the cup is appropriate however it looks like a normal steel glass. No offense sir 🙏 I'm just trying to put forward my point of view.

Gov should make this cup compulsory in school for every kid. So, that the kid can build habit of using this from very young age.
Only thing is now shop keepers should provide water for us to clean this if we eat some oily or sticky food or drink tea in that.

You can buy bare necessities' s collapsible cup. Ensure to twist it tightly after you expand the cup to avoid collapsing unexpectedly.

It’s old one brother. Used in childhood in 90’s but made up of plastic. Issue was leakage due to frequent opening and closure.
