Some cars are collected for their cool card art too, not just the car, so that's another reason why many collectors would keep the packaging intact. Something you could consider as well. Check your local stationery stores, Crossword, Hamley's etc. There are also Facebook Groups you can join where some people are willing to sell at MRP.

Majorette ke bhi cars kaafi achche lagte hai mujhe. VFM hote hai with moving parts. Unfortunately India mein naya stock hi nahi aa raha. :(

If you want to open them up then buy two of them , one you can open and other one to be kept in mint condition
where do you buy your cars from ?
Variety of places - but mostly offline stores and novelty shops - In this case I bought it from a Kheliya store in my city.
