Heyo, nice video Regarding Vigor at 9:20, I've been told (havent super tested it), but it seems that natural merc auras, sometimes doesnt activate until they enter combat / hit something. This is not a thing for auras provided by items. However auras from items can bug and turn off when you swap out other gear on your merc, for example gloves. To fix this you just unequip and reequip the item with the aura on. (I dont know how this works if you have both templars and faith, would be interested in testing it but i dont have a templars :D ) Idk if you have heard anything else about it or want to test the whole natural merc aura thing, as well as the faith + templars combination. "Turning off" the auras by changing /unequipping + reequipping gear on your merc seems pretty consistent so it shouldn't take that long to check out.
If you unequip your merc’s items it will bug and will remain bugged until you leave the game or your merc dies and is revived. For the native aura, that’s interesting - I have not tested it :)

Great video, I’m sitting at 11k right now but with Valk helm. I stupidly was using Hoto on switch to buff my wisp I didn’t know CTA added Ed so thanks for the awesome tip! I’ll be hopefully approaching 12k once I get a nice CTA!
Switch to oath in the mean time - it will add a lot more damage than hoto. It adds +8 to HoW and the runeword is extremely cheap to make. Enjoy your bowazon!
Just built this today, same gear, minus, socket count, currupts and charms. Just under 6k damage. Not bad. 3ow WF with Ohms and 2os helmet with IAD jewels. Happy with the start, time to min max. Biggest weakness is res right now.
I believe the merc's aura sometimes doesn't trigger unless you have it hit a creature. I have a a5 Merc on my bowazon and it only trigger s when he hits a mob if I kill stuff before he hits it can actually keep my damage lower

And I had some more questions when I watched it, but I forgot now :D Im surprised you didnt have Atma amulet as an option. With max IAS, amp dam will proc fairly often(upped a few % for PD2) it breaks most of the physical immunes, meaning your clearspeed increases alot and it brings monster's physical res down to zero, which is noticable.

Hey Bora, Merc gotta get hit or hit something before their inherent aura activates, there are no bugs:) The auras from items are active regardless. If you'll notice, vigor kicked in after she hit a zombie outside of town in your new game;)

I have suboptimal gear (bis in all item slots - basically same like yours just instead of tyraels i have forti and only 3 os wf) without the sick corruptions, faith merc + templar's and i am barely at 6,5k max dmg. Additional 6k dmg from corruptions possible?
@@lqgash9077 the damage calculation in diablo2 is like (weapon damage with inherit ed)*(enhanced damage from other gear)... so basically if u have a wf that deals 500 max dmg and 1000ed from dex and other items you deal 5500 dmg... if you have a 800 max dmg wf and 1000ed from other sources you deal 8800 dmg... so the windforce is the most important part... and yes i ignored +dmg from items like wartravs which get added to basedmg like bora explained... please guys correct me if im wrong
I know this was a quick overview of gear and i feel a route u left out is 3frw/3max/ar small charms but all in all obviously i agree with all u said.... also will say if u have the helm from dclone and get 3 sockets i think that would be 1 situation that warrants using soul drainers over LoH solely because of stacking that - enemy phys

The dclone helmet can only get 2os (even from corruption). Until I'm able to test it I can't really say, but personally I still wouldn't use soul drainers unless I had a godly ED/IAS corrupt 4os windforce.

So im pretty new to D2R. Currently leveling up a bowazon. Budget gear. I did notice that Guided Arrow doesnt seem to hit as hard as youd think at maxed point…. So what is the best skill to use for single targets / bosses? Just regular attack? I was thinking of taking the 20 points out of that and putting it in valk
Well, I play a lot for starters. Outside of that, I play in a group that has a need before greed policy, so I get all the bowzon gear. My group also did ubers very early on and we sold a lot of torches.

As far as your mercenary not activating their natural aura: Your mercenary has to choose to perform the skill in that slot in order for the aura to become active. This means that they have to be engaged in combat and pick that skill slot. The act 1 mercenaries used to have slow missiles and they would cast it very often, so they pop their aura very quickly after beginning combat. Other mercenaries have a much smaller chance to activate their auras, you pretty much just have to let them go bash some quill rats to select the skill and engage the aura.

Those are a definite option, but I prefer raw damage > damage over time. It is 100 poison over 5 seconds, so when most monsters die in less than a second, the DoT just doesn't really have a chance to make an impact.
love your content and love bowazons! btw, the thing with ther merc i believe they have to attack to activate the aura. i dont think a1's have a special, but a2 and 5 need to do their special to activate it..

If I don’t need more than 95 IAS than I can put 3x 40ED Jewels with minus Req and save a lot of strength stats to put towards Dex. Lastly, best corruption on the belt and boots if u don’t need CBF? Your the man! Keep it coming !
Hey man thanks for your comment. You need 95 if you have lvl 13+ fanat on your merc's faith bow. You need 100 if you only have lvl 12 fanat. Belts, +6 all stats is best you can get (with 10 dex being 2nd best imo). Boots, probably just +res is best. Alternatives could be more FRW, or physical damage reduction %
wondering about some kind of comparison, epherno created a nice trapsin and did all maps run(solo) with a summary - time he needed to clear particular map. Would love to get to know which one does it faster and will ur bowazon will meet the challenge of clearing ALL the maps in decent time. All that to select the winner build for the season. Greetings
4os corrupted windforces can do more damage than 6os. I say this again and again the 6os windforce is NOT best in slot. 4x ohm (200), ed/ias or ed/ar slam (up to 120) + base (up to 325) = 645ed 6x ohm (300) + base (325) = 625ed Also, this is pretty early season brother I just don’t have the best corruptions yet. No ED slam on ammy, no 3os tyraels, no stat slam on belt.
@@boragaming1839 yea I forget what I ended up with exactly was roughly 12k almost 13 but I think I just had max sockets and everything and perfect jewels . But I’m always a super fan of 30s Andies. Just a preference thing . You can get Ed slams on amulet and gloves as well which help a ton. But good stuff u got here . I have yet to play season two but yea :)

Prices are wild bro. Items are worth what people are willing to pay. You just have to wait for your opportunity and jump on it. Very hard for me to give PCs.
Hey man. Appreciate this video. What would you say is a good WF ED-wise for the build to feel good? Is 525 / 550 enough for you to flow? I am looking to replace my buriza, 585% ED. I do 13K sheet damage with Tyraels with buriza.
A 520ed WF would do the same DPS as a 585 buriza on a pure 1 arrow to 1 bolt basis. That said, the higher attack frames of wf means more chances to crit and deadly strike, and all the other good things that come with attack speed (life leeching/mana leeching more often etc.)
I’d love to build a Bowzon, but I strictly play hardcore so those res/life stats just won’t cut it 😂 any chance you could link a video/resource for a HC version of this?
You just sacrifice damage for life and res, aslong as you hit breakpoints bowazon will work, so you probably wouldnt go full dex and you would probably sacrifice you chest alot for a piece with a ton of res. You're just better off playing javazon though, its easier to build and way way tankier.
hi, Im currently trying to get a bowazon going in plugy/ssf and have a little bit of a hard time progressing/doing damage in hell. I found a windforce which bricked the corruption but I still wanted to start with it. I have solid gear all things considered but obv no faith (yet) or wisp projector. Doing 3.5k top damage on multishot, is that just too low to get in decent damage? Im lvl 76 now and progressing through a2 is literally shite because things dont die fast at all. I do hope I find the telling of beads with my sorc at some point so I have a nice set to do cs but atm I feel like its very lacking even though I have solid things in almost all slots and a couple of dmg charms. Is it just not geared enough yet?
Yea for sure it's not a bad option, not BiS but a fine option for sure. The mods you can roll on crafted rings are just so good (life leech, life, res, min/max dmg etc).
Nice video man. My ama is an exact copy of yours, with a lesser WF ^^ only 4 os curropt and low ed tho i pumped way more in vit and maxed out my resses. Playing HC. I also run 45ias/ress jwls in my Gskull so i can get Atmas(for that xtra crisp amp) Iinstead of cats ATM. since i cant find one with %ED slam. Got my BLUESWAG last night , unfortunatley i only got 1 OS currpt :(. High roll so ima rock it over forty for max swag points. Very informative video ive gotten myself a 40/13max and was wondering if its better or than ohm thanks for clarifying that. thought of putting it into my tyraels but u mentioned 40/8 dex is best in the armor slot, got 1 of those aswell. But why is it better in armor? So wich of the 2 should i into my armor? Also thanks for the tip for Oath+wisp! did not know that cheers! ----->Also a worty mention u can BC your HOW after cast to give its active aura +1 level ;) to get that xtra crisp dmg.
There is a pretty nasty bug (that has existed in the game for as long as I can remember) with using ED/max or ED/min or ED/max/min (rare) jewels in non-weapons. I will outline the bug in full in a future video. Re: maps, I don't want to steer you wrong - if you are having success with bloodmoon and ruins I would stick to those (though I believe ruins has physical immunes sometimes?). My favourite map is bloodmoon hands down.
Just to clarify, you are saying the buriza is 613ed? So you got the ED hybrid slam and 4os puzzle? Any WF with 550ed would do the same dmg (i.e. mid-roll 5os or lowest possible 6os with Ohms) So anything better than that.
Defense is not damage reduction - it is a measure of how likely you are to hit the enemy respective to your attack rating. i.e. high def and low ar = low chance to hit, low def and high ar = high chance to hit. Because bowzons add so many pts to dexterity (which increases AR), and multi shot gives major bonuses to AR, you typically don't struggle to hit monsters. That said, if you feel like you have left over skill points, you can put them in penetrate for sure.
what about using your bowzon to magic find? I still need a lot of these type of items and not sure where to start. I have a Buriza with shael but that is it.
You should have high attack rating by default since dexterity gives you AR. Fanat aura also gives you AR, as does every charm in my inventory. If you DO NOT have all your points in dex, a full inventory, or faith on your merc - that might be why.

Depends on the level of fanaticism on your mercs faith bow. If level 12 if you need 99 ias total (including the 42 from your wf). If you have level 15 fanat, you need 92 total, so 50 more from gear. If 13-14 just treat it as if you need 95 so 55 more from gear since you can’t get obscure ias numbers from anything except weapon.
@@boragaming1839 You mentioned that 6OS is not the best WF, so what is the best WF? Is my WF with 23% extra IAS consider good or somewhere in the middle ?
@@sp1ta the absolute best WF you can get is 325ed base, 120ed/20ias corruption, 4os. Your windforce is ok, I don't value ias all that much as a corruption I'd rather have ED. The one nice thing about IAS on the windforce is you can easily use Veil of Steel as your helmet which I consider to be the best option if it has 3os. Veil is hard to pull off without an ias corruption on the WF.
It is an option, but I have tested and don't love it. Your damage reaches a point where the amp damage is redundant - however, it would help break some phys immunities, but for my playstyle.... I just avoid maps/zones with physical immune packs. Magic arrow can get through one-off phys immunes.

Another huge quality of life change for the bowzon is infinite arrows. Not needing to carry spare arrows is a game-changer.

wondering about some kind of comparison, epherno created a nice trapsin and did all maps run(solo) with a summary - time he needed to clear particular map. Would love to get to know which one does it faster and will ur bowazon will meet the challenge of clearing ALL the maps in decent time. All that to select the winner build for the season. Greetings
Nice video but not sure why my zon set up last season I had 2k more damage with a 4os wf
4os corrupted windforces can do more damage than 6os. I say this again and again the 6os windforce is NOT best in slot.
4x ohm (200), ed/ias or ed/ar slam (up to 120) + base (up to 325) = 645ed
6x ohm (300) + base (325) = 625ed
Also, this is pretty early season brother I just don’t have the best corruptions yet. No ED slam on ammy, no 3os tyraels, no stat slam on belt.
@@boragaming1839 yea I forget what I ended up with exactly was roughly 12k almost 13 but I think I just had max sockets and everything and perfect jewels . But I’m always a super fan of 30s Andies. Just a preference thing . You can get Ed slams on amulet and gloves as well which help a ton. But good stuff u got here . I have yet to play season two but yea :)

Hey bora, love the channel. I got a question regarding prices of wf. How much do you think a wf that has about 500-550 ed (full socketed) is worth? I Some say a 500 wf is worth 10 hrs, some say 550 wf is worth 20 hrs. I mean, I think this is super overpriced, but please lemme know your thoughts!

Hey man. Appreciate this video. What would you say is a good WF ED-wise for the build to feel good? Is 525 / 550 enough for you to flow? I am looking to replace my buriza, 585% ED. I do 13K sheet damage with Tyraels with buriza.
A 520ed WF would do the same DPS as a 585 buriza on a pure 1 arrow to 1 bolt basis.
That said, the higher attack frames of wf means more chances to crit and deadly strike, and all the other good things that come with attack speed (life leeching/mana leeching more often etc.)
bora what u think about a uped 4os crowcaw armor.
when its used to a tranquil or whatever thre armor is called it can roll 4os. upping it is cheap ko + lum
You can only corrupt armors for 3os in pd2.
That said, 3os crow caw is a decent armor, just not as good as tyraels or fort.
I’d love to build a Bowzon, but I strictly play hardcore so those res/life stats just won’t cut it 😂 any chance you could link a video/resource for a HC version of this?
You just sacrifice damage for life and res, aslong as you hit breakpoints bowazon will work, so you probably wouldnt go full dex and you would probably sacrifice you chest alot for a piece with a ton of res.
You're just better off playing javazon though, its easier to build and way way tankier.

Looks like 20HR+ for a 6os WF but that's just a quick search on the pd2 trade site. Haven't checked disc.

hi, Im currently trying to get a bowazon going in plugy/ssf and have a little bit of a hard time progressing/doing damage in hell.
I found a windforce which bricked the corruption but I still wanted to start with it.
I have solid gear all things considered but obv no faith (yet) or wisp projector. Doing 3.5k top damage on multishot, is that just too low to get in decent damage? Im lvl 76 now and progressing through a2 is literally shite because things dont die fast at all.
I do hope I find the telling of beads with my sorc at some point so I have a nice set to do cs but atm I feel like its very lacking even though I have solid things in almost all slots and a couple of dmg charms.
Is it just not geared enough yet?

Yea for sure it's not a bad option, not BiS but a fine option for sure.
The mods you can roll on crafted rings are just so good (life leech, life, res, min/max dmg etc).

There is a pretty nasty bug (that has existed in the game for as long as I can remember) with using ED/max or ED/min or ED/max/min (rare) jewels in non-weapons.
I will outline the bug in full in a future video.
Re: maps, I don't want to steer you wrong - if you are having success with bloodmoon and ruins I would stick to those (though I believe ruins has physical immunes sometimes?). My favourite map is bloodmoon hands down.

Just to clarify, you are saying the buriza is 613ed? So you got the ED hybrid slam and 4os puzzle?
Any WF with 550ed would do the same dmg (i.e. mid-roll 5os or lowest possible 6os with Ohms)
So anything better than that.

Defense is not damage reduction - it is a measure of how likely you are to hit the enemy respective to your attack rating.
i.e. high def and low ar = low chance to hit, low def and high ar = high chance to hit.
Because bowzons add so many pts to dexterity (which increases AR), and multi shot gives major bonuses to AR, you typically don't struggle to hit monsters. That said, if you feel like you have left over skill points, you can put them in penetrate for sure.
what about using your bowzon to magic find? I still need a lot of these type of items and not sure where to start. I have a Buriza with shael but that is it.

How do you have big chance to hit with magic arrow ? mine is crap i can barely hit the target
You should have high attack rating by default since dexterity gives you AR.
Fanat aura also gives you AR, as does every charm in my inventory.
If you DO NOT have all your points in dex, a full inventory, or faith on your merc - that might be why.
can this build run ubers? assuming I max valk peeling 10 pts off the dodge/evade combo?

By the way, im going with a bul khatos ring with 30 enhanced damage on it instead of +1 wisp and it gives me the same damage. Idk if its with a +3 if it will make a big difference

What IAS would i need to reach if i got a bow windforce with 4 sockets and 42 IAS
Depends on the level of fanaticism on your mercs faith bow. If level 12 if you need 99 ias total (including the 42 from your wf).
If you have level 15 fanat, you need 92 total, so 50 more from gear.
If 13-14 just treat it as if you need 95 so 55 more from gear since you can’t get obscure ias numbers from anything except weapon.
@@boragaming1839 You mentioned that 6OS is not the best WF, so what is the best WF? Is my WF with 23% extra IAS consider good or somewhere in the middle ?
@@sp1ta the absolute best WF you can get is 325ed base, 120ed/20ias corruption, 4os.
Your windforce is ok, I don't value ias all that much as a corruption I'd rather have ED. The one nice thing about IAS on the windforce is you can easily use Veil of Steel as your helmet which I consider to be the best option if it has 3os. Veil is hard to pull off without an ias corruption on the WF.

By the 42% ias is the total , with the 20 that wthe WF comes with in general, so you mean instead of 92 .i would need 70 ias not 5, or am i wrong..

atmas scarab useful at all for the amp dmg?
It is an option, but I have tested and don't love it.
Your damage reaches a point where the amp damage is redundant - however, it would help break some phys immunities, but for my playstyle.... I just avoid maps/zones with physical immune packs. Magic arrow can get through one-off phys immunes.

You could always start out using the buriza build and work your way up
They buffed other bows in the mod so it’s a lot easier to use bows other than just faith or windforce
