Eufy send user data to China. One of the biggest reason why Linus doesn’t work with Anker the parent company of Eufy anymore.
That’s false. They only sent THUMBNAILS of videos for faster access to snapshots, and only for customers that used their “cloud” service, which has been resolved by storing them locally. They don’t send “user data” to China. Linus is HARDLY a person I would trust with reviews anyway, as his opinions depend on the amount of money in the checks he receives. All the scandals he’s been involved with recently over his reviews are clear testaments to that. I’m a IT pro and network admin for several colleges in NJ, and my home network is locked down and each query in and out of my network is logged. Eufy no longer stores thumbnails in the cloud and all thumbnails/snapshots/videos are stored locally. Stop spreading misinformation.
