I’m so here for a limited amount of skulls for the finals. I liked the twist last season but wished there was a consequence for Bayleigh or Kyle (or whoever else) got theirs the last possible week. I hope this gives people motivation to actually go into an elimination and not just try to line up a perfect opponent/coast till the end. Excited for more challenge content Drew!

Like in the Island they handed out 8 keys and then people were just able to steal keys forcing people to have to go and win the opportunity to get theirs back. Hahaha I go very indepth in this breakdown. I feel I should've limbered up before I started filming because the raw unedited video footage was over 45 minutes. And I was able to cut it down to 28 for this video. Almost everything here is a throwback now that I realize it. Hog Tie type elimination - Ruins & Free Agents It also looks like there’s a pole next to Kyle with a ring so possibly the crazy 8 from vendettas The truck is from Vendettas and Total Madness Then the helicopter is kind of reminiscent of rivals Then Wes is running with a rope attached to him so possibly reverse tug of war from gauntlet 2 Then we have that trust fall thingy from duel 2 Then the first daily challenge probably is from total madness Then the skulls is obviously total madness with an added twist to be like the island keys Those are the ones I could make out, I’m guessing we’re gonna get a super trailer with a lot more.
Good call on connecting a ton of those. I didn't catch the hog tie elimination or the reverse tug of war. The Challenge could be going to make variations of past Challenge eliminations rather than trying to start from scratch and get a Chair-Tape elimination. I have been entertained by every single season of The Challenge, and I'm so happy it's back with an even longer season! IMO the cast looks great (CT looks ready... yes!); however, I will still miss a few of my very favs like Jordan and Bananas.

I hope it is better than last season. I felt like the daily challenges and some of the elimination games fell flat. Adding fire to things does not make it more difficult! This one looks great and I'm looking forward to the twists. Love the cast and location as well!
Same. And they did for sure. The daily Challenges I feel fell flat a ton of the time in Total Madness. And the editing style for eliminations watered down the results. Like the Hall Brawl they used the same shots over and over again but they used 15 different angles and slowed down. In past seasons they just let them play through. Yeah I want to know the full extent of how they modified the skull twist besides limiting the amount. Like the keys in the Island, once they handed them out people would steal someone's key and then that person had to win a Face Off to get the opportunity to steal a key. I feel that couldn't work with skulls or it's totally unfair to just steal a skull. But what will happen once all the skulls are handed out and did they put anything in place to stop people from putting in the same person over and over again like Jay from last season. We'll see. Considering Total Madness premiere in Apr, I was just hoping for a Feb premiere. SO stoked it is premiering in 2-3 weeks time. Not to mention so many new people and classic returnees (Theresa AND Darrell? Wowza)
I was thinking February originally and then thought at the earliest after the first of January. I was slapped in the face (in a good way) with the premiere date all the stuff they've dropped. I think this will be a make it or break it season. They’ve had a few back to back that didn’t have a whole lot of playing and just drama. If they don’t step it up people will only watch recaps.

Nice! I feel like they found the issues with last season and fixed it. I mean the red skull thing wasn't a bad idea and it forced everyone to actually compete and not just coast to a final. However, there were WAY too many red skulls last season and in the end of the day it wasn't a huge issue. So now with only 10 they really gotta fight for one. Also, im guessing since there are only 10, that they can steal red skulls from others by beating a red skull person in elimination. That would be cool and hopefully, that's the case. So excited for this season, its like a fusion of Total Madness and Dirty 30.

I haven't seen that show in forever but I remember briefings, competitions where someone was trying to sabotage and I felt there was something with computer screens when they voted for people. Already this season is looking a whole lot better than last seasons! I hope the daily challenges are going to be the same and blow last seasons out of the water. For the elimination rounds do you think its going to be a 4 rotation type style like they did in battle of the seasons??? Also hope the voting in for eliminations gets changed up bc sitting in the living room and raising hands was not it and just waiting for a turn to get a skull was pretty lame. So I hope that with there being limited number it makes it more interesting.
What got me was tori (I think) saying “you don’t know who your partner is going to be. You don’t know if you going to be stolen or steal.” What does that mean? How will that work out with the red skulls?!? Btw I was waiting for your video all day long. Lol.
They are going to compete in dailies in duos but eliminations individually. If you win an elimination you get to chose whoever of the opposite gender you want to be your partner

I was wondering that too. This isnt a spoiler just speculation I heard theresa annoyed a few cast members this season. I dont this its true because I would assume since she is now a mom, she would have changed since the last show she was on.
Last time Theresa was on the Challenge was coming in as Leroy's replacement partner for Exes 2 Finals where Nany and Theresa in X Battle where Theresa won. There are so many daily challenges similar to past daily challenges, I mean Dirty 30,vendettas, the duel 2, rivals, exes 2, etc o wonder if is like a tribute or mtv just run out of ideas
Maybe they want to go back to some "oldies but goodies" with slight variations. Also I can only imagine that the time frame they were working with they fell back on daily Challenges that would resonate with the game but also somewhat easy to film/produce. We'll have to see. I will agree the trailer leaves a lot to be desired. I feel like they are rushing a ton out even though we are like 3 weeks out and they could take some time to let things breath. Then the first daily challenge probably is from total madness
Then the skulls is obviously total madness with an added twist to be like the island keys
Those are the ones I could make out, I’m guessing we’re gonna get a super trailer with a lot more.
Good call on connecting a ton of those. I didn't catch the hog tie elimination or the reverse tug of war. The Challenge could be going to make variations of past Challenge eliminations rather than trying to start from scratch and get a Chair-Tape elimination. I hope it is better than last season. I felt like the daily challenges and some of the elimination games fell flat. Adding fire to things does not make it more difficult! This one looks great and I'm looking forward to the twists. Love the cast and location as well!
Same. And they did for sure. The daily Challenges I feel fell flat a ton of the time in Total Madness. And the editing style for eliminations watered down the results. Like the Hall Brawl they used the same shots over and over again but they used 15 different angles and slowed down. In past seasons they just let them play through. Now that I've seen this breakdown of the trailer I'm getting excited. The clips in the trailer go by so quickly I can barely tell what's going on and it's hard to be excited lol.
The view looks beautiful like the water challenges and the elimination in a cave and the attire they have goes well together with the theme

Yeah I want to know the full extent of how they modified the skull twist besides limiting the amount. Like the keys in the Island, once they handed them out people would steal someone's key and then that person had to win a Face Off to get the opportunity to steal a key. I feel that couldn't work with skulls or it's totally unfair to just steal a skull. But what will happen once all the skulls are handed out and did they put anything in place to stop people from putting in the same person over and over again like Jay from last season. We'll see. Considering Total Madness premiere in Apr, I was just hoping for a Feb premiere. SO stoked it is premiering in 2-3 weeks time. Not to mention so many new people and classic returnees (Theresa AND Darrell? Wowza)
I was thinking February originally and then thought at the earliest after the first of January. I was slapped in the face (in a good way) with the premiere date all the stuff they've dropped. 5 months later... This shot for shot review held up granted some missed the mark, naturally. But @16:40 is the most hilarious freeze-frame EVER!!!!
Nice! I feel like they found the issues with last season and fixed it. I mean the red skull thing wasn't a bad idea and it forced everyone to actually compete and not just coast to a final. However, there were WAY too many red skulls last season and in the end of the day it wasn't a huge issue.
So now with only 10 they really gotta fight for one.
Also, im guessing since there are only 10, that they can steal red skulls from others by beating a red skull person in elimination. That would be cool and hopefully, that's the case.
So excited for this season, its like a fusion of Total Madness and Dirty 30.

I haven't seen that show in forever but I remember briefings, competitions where someone was trying to sabotage and I felt there was something with computer screens when they voted for people. I may be misremembering. But that was such a fun show and if some elements are brought into this Challenge season I think it would add more strategy and make things very interesting. Already this season is looking a whole lot better than last seasons! I hope the daily challenges are going to be the same and blow last seasons out of the water. For the elimination rounds do you think its going to be a 4 rotation type style like they did in battle of the seasons??? Also hope the voting in for eliminations gets changed up bc sitting in the living room and raising hands was not it and just waiting for a turn to get a skull was pretty lame. So I hope that with there being limited number it makes it more interesting.
I feel like 2 people will be eliminated every night because it's only 19 episodes. So, it will be 2 girl and boy elimination night

Last time Theresa was on the Challenge was coming in as Leroy's replacement partner for Exes 2 Finals where Nany and Theresa in X Battle where Theresa won. There are so many daily challenges similar to past daily challenges, I mean Dirty 30,vendettas, the duel 2, rivals, exes 2, etc o wonder if is like a tribute or mtv just run out of ideas
Maybe they want to go back to some "oldies but goodies" with slight variations. Also I can only imagine that the time frame they were working with they fell back on daily Challenges that would resonate with the game but also somewhat easy to film/produce. We'll have to see. I will agree the trailer leaves a lot to be desired. I feel like they are rushing a ton out even though we are like 3 weeks out and they could take some time to let things breath. But also maybe they realized they gave a lot away and the hype was so high for last season and they saw a big drop off as the season proceeded because it couldn't keep up with the hype.
