      @@del9936 no. You are quite wrong. There are two types of tutorials in piano. One is like this that explains what is on the sheet music. And other has a suggestive interpretation. This second one says what dynamics and what should the piece sound like in a microscopic way. Look I really cannot explain it to you.

    Got through the first part easy enough, this one is being a p.i.t.a. but they always do come together eventually. You keep talking about these quavers. No idea what you mean, thought it was your pet slang for something but I take it it's a real term referring to timing. I never understood timing notations to this day, I just play them so they sound right.

    • @KeyboardSkillsPro
      @KeyboardSkillsPro  4 года назад

      Quavers are a type of note length (also called 8th notes in the USA) - perhaps take some music theory lessons as this will help your music making no end.

      @@KeyboardSkillsPro I might've guessed it was a UK thing, lol! Well I've pissed away at this over the past week or so when I get around to it, and, funny, like I said, they always somehow come together! Trying to put the 2 hands together was a royal p.i.t.a, it was pretty pathetic. But - like to all the others out here that might struggle with this - all of a sudden, somehow, for some reason, at some point (like after several 100 attempts) your hands start to come together and get "synchronized" in the un-synchronization. It suddenly starts on the first measure then the rest just starts falling into place, almost like dominoes. On to part 3! :D

      @favourernest - about 2-3 years hard work! It's a slow burn process....
      Key points I follow are:
      1) Decide your target audience and orientate your videos to them
      2) Record and edit efficiently i.e. 3 videos at a time. Upload them so you have material in advance.
      3) Follow the '4 to1' rule - each week of the month, post a video
      4) Share your content on social media sites
      5) Keep at it! I have a very small subs number but it grows daily.
      Be grateful, as I am, for to everyone who watches, comments (positively!), shares and likes your content.

    Very interesting on a theoretic and more advanced level, but not so useful as an inexperienced piano player. Too fast and flimsey for that. I would love a more slow and structured walk-through of both hands initially (where all relevant keys are named), and then possibly have the remaining perspectives added afterwards. I learned the first part through Amosdoll.

      @@KeyboardSkillsPro Thank you for your response. Yes, well what I mean is just that in the video, you sort of go through different musical aspects and points of this song in a rather shifting manner, which is probably great for a more experienced player, whereas I - being inexperienced - need a very slow, clear and chronological walk-through of both hands (one at a time) in order to benefit from the video. - Preferably divided into subsections for faster learning and better overview. I've learned part 1 of Maple Leaf Rag in about a week in that manner.
