@@adamyoung6797 that doesn't make sense, do you tell your most important secrets to people you only knew for 5 months? I don't and my secrets wont get my freinds and family killed if they get out. Were talking something more along the lines of a before marriage and children conversation, if she somehow didn't figure it out with how obvious he made it. Btw this goes for other heroes to, you dont tell people these things
That’s why when people say “SHES SO TOXIC!!!” I go, Nah. The writers just fucked up on that one. They tried doing something clever with her, they fucked up. Simple.
Amber claiming to know that he was Invincible is bullshit as there are a myriad of things that strongly contradict her statement. She worked that out after she broke up with him but she was beginning to put two and two together.
Didn't Eve tell Mark that his grades were shit compared to Amber's, it's not a stretch that she can "put two and two together". You make it sound so impossible. Not everyone is Lois Lane lol
@@BhBc8f8 Literally everyone in this universe is an idiot when it comes to recognising people except one teacher in the comics. Amber in the comics was clueless too. Plus Mark has shit grades because he has poor time management and barely studies. Moreover, booksmarts doesn't correlate. Not even Mark's best friend worked it at. In fact he didn't even recognise that Mark's dad was Omniman. Nobody seems to be able to work out who Omniman and Atom Eve are and they don't even hide their faces. Amber constantly made jokes that whenever someone was late they must have been "off saving the world". That is how unlikely she thinks anyone she knows is doing that. She uses it as a replacement to "god knows what". It is a huge stretch to believe that she had any idea. In fact she asks Mark where he was in episode 6 in front of everyone in the college. If she knew what he was doing and wanted him to give her an answer to test him she wouldn't ask in front of everyone. That is more where her smartness applies. As I do agree that other than ascertaining hero identities she is otherwise a very smart woman.
I think the reasons just come down to this: 1. After Mark gets back from his fight with Battle-Beast, with his face literally jacked up from the beating he took, Amber already decides to dump him. I mean, WTF!?!!? If you're boyfriend/girlfriend just got his face all bruised up, are you saying that's not as concerning than a stupid soup kitchen!?!?! ARE YOU ACTUALLY F***ING KIDDING ME!?!? If that was my mate, I would leave her immediately, and so should you. Because any boyfriend/girlfriend who does that is just not right in their head. 2. Amber tries to hit on some random college dude at a college party, after dumping Mark. And this is a problem because it makes her an actual hypocrite. Amber literally rants on Mark for not valuing her, yet she clearly doesn't value him that much either, considering how quickly she was willing to go bang from college guy, ONE day after their breakup. And only doesn't pursue THAT GUY because she finds out he already has a girlfriend, meaning she was only looking for a rebound guy, just to fell better on how she dumped Mark. 3. Now let's talk about THIS EPISODE, where everyone is talking about how awful she gets, but lets look further. Because she says that she knew Mark was Invincible FOR WEEKS, basically meaning, longer than the time it took for Mark to recover his fight with Battle-Beast, as well as preventing a meteor from crashing Earth, as well as fighting a super-villain who was trying to destroy the city. So she is fully aware of all of this, including saving them from being attacked from a cyborg, even blaming him for being late for dinner with her mom, but starts stating how HE'S IN THE WRONG, because he never told her his secret identity. So was all of this basically a stupid test to see if he was trying to be honest with her? I mean, Mark being honest about his secret identity isn't really the problem. 4. Amber ONLY goes back to Mark in Ep. 8, after he got literally beaten to near death by his own dad, left in a hospital again for weeks, and after finding out all these lies about his dad. I mean, COME ON, NO NO NO!!!! This girl is literally just making a move on Mark while he's in a vulnerable state of mind. Seriously, if the excuse for the writers is to say that this was a dumb test to see if Mark will be honest with Amber, they did a bad job with that.
I recommend everyone who hasn't read the comic book to read it. They are 3 compendium books. It's one of best stories I've ever read. They made some questionable changes in the show, but I do like it.
Honestly, save for the Amber scene this episode, I prefer every change they've made so far. The show lets the important character moments breathe much more so than the comic.

JK got buff to play... _Commissioner Gordon._ Yeah. Makes no sense, but good for him. And you certainly seem to appreciated it.
Actually his a fitness guy in real life he didn't get buff just for Commissioner Gordon or J Jonah Jameson he prefers to be fit in real life man
I think he just likes to stay fit, in general.
@@isinganddootherthings4616 He started posting pictures and referencing Justice League as if he was getting in shape for it. Prior to that time I had never seen him buff. Maybe he was beforehand. I don't know.
@@akumathelion535 he was but yeah he did post that I think as he has gotten older he has become more into health and fitness which is awesome I happy for him I wish him a long life I love him as J Jonah Jameson
The Cathulu thing was from episode 3 I believe.
Amber it’s a secret identity we’ve been dating maybe 3 to 6 months tops this some shit you tell on your wedding night
This Editor is S tier lmao
"Nolan killed the Guardians of the Globe..."
"I know..."
*Squeakyyyy!*

Robot said autobots roll out
J.K. Simmons was pretty buff in Whiplash 2014.
"2+2 is.... Fuck!!!" lmao had me dying
I cant wait to see their reaction to the next episode 😂🤣😆
Think Mark ‼️
The point where I lose patience with Amber is that she KNEW he was a superhero, but she STILL kept preventing him from slipping away to fight the cyborg, so the only reason she could have been doing that and preventing him from saving people was to try and make him tell her. And yet, comic book amber was still a billion times worse so this could have been so much more painful....
But the only reason he didn’t tell her was his own troubles. So she wasn’t keeping him. He was keeping himself
Bruh it's a 5 month relationship, anyone with common sense shouldn't tell anyone, if amber found out, theres no excuse for her
@@bobbob-zc1nx but if he has no intention of telling her he shouldn’t date her. For both their sakes. That’s why I want him to be with Eve
That’s why when people say “SHES SO TOXIC!!!”
I go, Nah. The writers just fucked up on that one. They tried doing something clever with her, they fucked up. Simple.
17:59 “my son….it’s ketchup I swear” 😂😂😂
Holy cow, is that a yaboyroshi reference?!

THAT PHONE COVER 🥰
This episode is always funny because I *understand* what they were trying to do with Amber but it's funny how it fails.
Editor did em dirty in this one lol
The robot has more heart than amber 🥺
Omg the editing. Subtle, but effective.
That 'squeak' slap killed me.
Holy shit I wasn't expecting a QUATO cameo
@@BhBc8f8 In Invincible virtually everyone is Lois Lane 😂
I think the reasons just come down to this:
I finally did it! I hit "Like" and got to see 3.9K turn into 4K! I've been trying for years to be the lucky 1000th click 😁

Cecil: oh sorry do you wanna be responsible for saving humanity from a psychotic Superman? Didn’t think so.
Also Cecil: 'Scuse me while my world-saving plan also kills your son as collateral.
The next episode lady’s brace yourselves just brace yourselves
I recommend everyone who hasn't read the comic book to read it. They are 3 compendium books. It's one of best stories I've ever read. They made some questionable changes in the show, but I do like it.
Honestly, save for the Amber scene this episode, I prefer every change they've made so far. The show lets the important character moments breathe much more so than the comic.
The fact I know exactly what picture of jk Simmons she pulled up 😂 😂 😂
You need to see season 2
We all know the exact picture of JK Simmons you're talking about
Your editor is 10/10
