The moral of the story is that if you do a 24f motion input for a 14f start up command grab and actually catch someone with it, they will think you are an execution god and be afraid of you for the rest of the match. 3s is a very special game!

What I stumbled upon here is not only a very well paced tutorial on a significant character technique, it is also stylised to honour the Coolness-oozing Game SFIII: Third Strike visually and audibly. The idea to implement a free online drum machine to play along and help with execution is beyond ingenuity.

Thank you! It's still consistently getting about 50 views a day even a year later, so I'd say that's pretty good for something so niche. There can't possibly be 40,000 3rd Strike players on Earth!? The numbers don't make sense! Please let me know if you have success trying the technique for yourself, too. :)

If you are a beginner or intermediate player, Kara command grab is probably something that should not be at the top of your list to learn. But if you feel that you’ve got the universal system mechanics and Q’s kit down, then Kara command grab is a genuinely good skill to learn. It really helps q with pushing his mixup, making his footsies scarier, improving his punishes, and giving you more opportunities to land command grab in general. Great guide btw very helpful.
