When I get equipment I get it directly from the manufacture or from an authorized service center, enough said. If i would get something such as your log splitter from Costco I would never have them assemble they hire kids and or trained monkeys so they don’t add in skilled technician cost to their overhead. Myself, I always want go know exactly how thing are put together and truly only by myself. Now that your running, Congrats I firmly feel you’ll love the unit. Boss makes very good machinery. You’ll have years of satisfaction ahead.
😅👊Hi there! All true! Lesson learned! I have been happy with the splitter! I have split a lot a wood with it! Thanks for checking out the video and commenting! Happy New Year!🚜🌲🇺🇸
😊👍 Hi Mike! Yes! Very happy with it so far! Thank you! We do love the property, it has not been worked for over 20 years, so we are trying to give it some love! I appreciate you checking out the video and commenting 🍺🇺🇸🚜
💙Hi Bill! Thanks brother! I appreciate even just the thought of it! I am glad you liked the video! I always wonder how they are coming to come out in the end! Take care! Stay safe!🇺🇸🚜🍺
Thorough as usual! I have a Northstar log splitter I've been running for 20 years now and love it. I have been considering upgrading to a vertical splitter and was excited to see this model. I have a Boss snow plow and they are a great company. I'm going to look into if this is the same company. The Boss snow plows are made in iron mountain, Michigan. In the upper peninsula of Michigan. Thank you for the video!
😊👍Hey Rooster! Excellent news that they are a good company! That has been my impression! Very responsive to emails! It is awesome that your Northstar is still getting it done! The vertical sure is handy on these big ones! Take care buddy!🇺🇸🚜🍺
Not gonna stay new for long Mike... They are made in Indiana. I still have My 37 Ton and split about 10/12 Full cord a year since 2007. Have done several mods to it since. Will be a lot less since I moved into My new place, My Shop is twice the size of My House LOL.. I split 100% in the Vertical. No lifting of Wood for the most part. With the right pile of Wood I can split a whole Cord just sitting in one spot. Imagine Me splitting big rounds like that cut to 24" LOL Need some Horse carousel Horses for your Hitching Posts. Mike M.
😊👍Hi Mike! You are a splitting master! I wish I could come by and see the pro in action! I know I have put some of your pointers to use! A shop should definitely be twice as big as the house!😋🤣 I was thinking I should cut some cowboy silhouettes for my hitching posts! 👍🤠 Take care pal!🍺🚜🇺🇸
@@tractorrookie I'm small as far as Wood processing Goes. Check out Chris In the Wood Yard if you really want to see some one turn out close to 200 Full Cord a year with just a Hydraulic splitter. He lives near me in Wisconsin.
😊 Hi Mrmaddog! Thanks for checking out the video! Good question! If you are referring to the 3 point multi- hitch! It is quite the contraption. Stay clear of the the mushrooms 😂🤣🍺🇺🇸🚜
I bought a Boss 27 ton three months ago. It splits great, but the hyd oil overflows if I fill it any higher than 1" below the minimum line on the dip stick. There are no leaks and all fittings/clamps/connects are tight. What level is your hyd oil at on the dip stick when cool? Has your hyd oil ever overflowed?
😅Hey Glenross! I hear you, definitely seems like there is a sweet spot. I had a couple leaks and I have had it over flow a little, but I think it was on a hill. I would think you are good if it’s in the stick. You can email Boss, they were pretty responsive when I did. Take care! 🔥 🌲🚜🇺🇸🪵
Great video... I have been putting wood into a cage also. I don't have a wood burner in my house and with the tax credits on efficient wood burning stoves, I am seriously thinking of getting one like you. I live down by Salem and was wondering which stove did you choose and who did you go through to buy it? Are you putting it in yourself, or having it install? Thanks... this is all part of my long research process. Again, I love firewood videos. Congrats on your purchase. Thanks, TP
Hi TP, I hear you! We decided we were not going to deal with firewood, but times have changed. We were told this is the last year of the tax credit, so we are going for it. We went with Lopi Evergreen. They are made in Washington. The Evergreen is the smallest one they make that qualifies for the credit. Wood stove Warehouse in Rainier Oregon is installing it. They have an option called “Green Start”. You just put dry wood in and push a bottom. Pretty fancy. www.lopistoves.com/ Thanks for checking out the video. Good luck with your research!🍺🇺🇸🚜
Hey Mike! Great video and splitting. I have to admit I've never heard of this brand before. I guess they don't carry them in my area. I hope it works out for you. I'm curious to see what you think of it after a while. I was looking at the Champion 27 and the County Line 25 before. This one would be another option. Thanks for sharing, buddy!
😊👍 Hi Pale Horse! Thanks buddy. I think you are in Washington, if I remember right. Costco shipped it to me from Kirkland, so you might be in luck. I’ll keep you posted on my experience with it. Talk to you soon! 🍺🇺🇸🚜
Wood Splitting videos are popular and you will need to split a bunch of wood. You may have to do it topless to really drive ratings! You know like without a hat.
😂 🤠 Hey buddy! Yes, quite surprised, 1500 views in 24 hours. Maybe it’s the beard! Topless! Maybe I’ll try that! It’s about time you crank out another video 😊🇺🇸🚜
@@tractorrookie yea… somehow, I didn’t realize how far west you really are so Wisconsin, WOULD be back east for you! Are you going to cut your own timber? I’ve found, at least here, the cheapest way to cord wood is to buy a grapple load and buck and split it yourself. Keeps a cord to just up from 100 bucks. Well, not counting the labor. 😁 but that part I enjoy! 😁👊🏻
Yes! We’re 50 miles from the pacific, so, very west!🤣 Yes, we have 23 acres with a lot to clean up and cut. The trees we have will keep me busy for a long time. Providing I can afford fuel 😊 I enjoy the dealing with wood also! 💪 🌲
@@tractorrookie ain’t that the truth!! Fuel prices are ridiculous and definitely impact everything we do. Thanks for sharing your slice of heaven up there!!

Has your Boss log splitter hyd oil ever overflowed? My 27 ton has.
Great video Mike. If I lived a bit closer I’d be glad to help out. Nothing like a little wood splitting therapy. Keep the videos coming.
😊👍Hi J Boykin, Hey! I appreciate the thought! It is great fun getting into the wood! Thanks for stopping by and checking out the video!!🚜🇺🇸🍺
Congratulations on the new log splitter that's sweet looks like it works good. Love ya'lls place great video thanks for sharing.

Looking good Mike. I’m liking that camo Kioti hat. 👍
Hey buddy! Thanks I appreciate it! The dealership gave that hat! It’s a good one! Cheers! Take care!🍺🇺🇸🚜
Just showing some ❤️. 👍

Great video, if I lived closer I sure would come and help out a fellow retired officer my friend. But it would really be a drive from Ohio.
