A little hard to believe bullets wouldn't penetrate a coffin but still a great movie.
The coffin is clearly metal, considering it contents, I wouldn't put it past Sarah to get it plated in the inside.

I always wonder how police didn't shoot tire or something. They stay in the car not moving for like 30 seconds. And they still drive away like nothing happened. And zero police chase. They just ride away and police simply go home 😅
Sarah Connor probably realized how the future will look like so she made a special, bulletproof coffin I think
Maybe it was lead lined so that it would be protected from nuclear fallout. After all Sarah stowed those guns with the intent that they could be used in the future if Judgement Day had not been truly averted.

This is a case of a movie that probably would have been good if it wasn't connected to the Terminator series. Like just change a few names so it doesn't wreck the ending of Terminator 2 and this movie is viewed very differently.
