The background artwork in the arcade version is amazing, kinda like hand painted. Gotta love the Avengers graffitti in the first level. Genesis was a pretty good port overall. Great music and surprissingly clear voice samples. Good graphics and gameplay too. Its missing some content in comparison to the SNES port, like some between levels cinema screens. Makes me wonder if they used a smaller ROM cart for the Genesis version. The SNES game is kinda broken. Gameplays feel a bit slow and jerky. Graphics are pretty good, but music is a bit dissapointing. Great job silenig, its an awesome video.

The genesis version is the best home console version of the arcade hit! it is fun to be able to play as your favorite avengers. On top of it all this is a great multiplayer game. The more people the better.
Man i have to say you did a great job! You deserve much more views. As a kid i used to have the snes version, now a days i have the Data East PCB for arcade. I have not noticed that the genesis version is better than snes, i think that version y much more complete. Nice job again!
Great comparison video. I had the one on Snes and played the heck out of it even though it didn't compare to the Arcade version. The snes version, normal attacks were a little useless because the enemies did not stun as they do in the arcade/sega version. I also like how he pauses so that the gameplay attempts to keep up with one another.

Night Driver But isn't that a direct port of Neo Geo Sengoku? Sengoku on Super Famicom is more like its own game. I personally prefer that version because it's more of a traditional beat 'em up.

The sega version came pretty damn close to the visuals but dominates in the music department when it comes to the ost although it only supports 2 players. And the Snes version.... well let's just say you should be playing the Sega version as it was handled by Data East while the Snes version was not and it shows.

Yeah, Genesis/Mega Drive version looks bad graphically, really bad... Below average animation quality, absolutely no impressive looking special effects and background art that looks like it was drawn for Sega Master System. It almost looks like a 8-bit game and they released it next to far more graphically impressive Streets of Rage 2 and Double Dragon 1 port by Accolade - these three games all came out in 1992! Like, this is just embarrassing.

SNES version is awful, looks, plays and sounds like shit, obviously ported by a shovelware western company. The backgrounds and the big bosses in the arcade version blow my mind, they are extremely detailed for a 1991 game.
The version on the right struggles to run smoothly during boss fights, as soon as a boss appears the frame rate drops sharply and sprites start flickering.
This is a result of the ridiculously slow cpu processor of the SNES. The Genesis had twice its speed and, though it could not boast the same graphics and sound, games that were ported to both were usually slow on the SNES and quite fast on the Genesis. This meant usually that the Genesis had better gameplay.

Eh, what's so wrong with the SNES version that everyone hates it compared to the Genesis version? It at least looks closer to the arcade than the Genesis version (well the first half does).
The gameplay for the snes version is horrible while the genesis at least tries to stay close to the arcade version even with its flaws. the snes version drags on forever at a very slow pace; only 2 music tracks sound good and it's hard to keep the characters walking straight because the controls are awful. I seriously regret wasting $50 on the snes version and glad I already had the genesis version before I found out it was also on snes and I suggest no one ever waste money on this version even after all the years that have gone by since it came out.

I had SNES version as a kid. Way too difficult, sloppy graphics, poor hit detection, etc. It was just so flawed. The company who ported the game from the arcade version did a half-ass job...The SNES had much better graphics and sound capabilities than what they did with it.

Flavors are on the console SEGA better ... that is, scenes between the boards as for an arcade. On the SNES they are cut out.

Sengoku Denshou is a Super Famicom exclusive, it was never ported to Mega Drive.

On the SNES you can see that they cut off the bosses. For example, the underwater boss has fewer moving arms, and the last boss moves hopelessly.
