I'll definitely visit the Heritage Village when I'm there next month. The thobe is brilliant at deflecting the heat and only costs around 90 Riyals. I bought 3 of them in June when I was in Saudi.
I think that the Arab Gulf states are among the best countries to visit, especially Saudi Arabia . Western media always show negatives about them. Lots of welcome, hospitality and love to strangers. Thank you for sharing your experience.
