- After finally having some time to play ASBR, I noticed that some of his moves looked like from HFTF. Some were strikingly similar too that it could fit in a whole video, so I did just that.

Jotaro's theme is literally called Heritage For The Future as well
That was the original name for Part 3, not really a reference to the game

If I remember right, Mariah's ASB moveset is almost entirely from HFTF as well. It kinda warms my heart to see that moveset not suck.

The way hftf attacks are animated and impact the opponent will always be better for me but the additions made by asb like the inhale and gha really compliment the characters' portrayal

Never really thought about how much inspiration ASB/ASBR took from HFTF. But it does make sense when I think about it
HFTF was how a lot of people were introduced to JoJo, so it's only natural to pay respects to it in a second JoJo fighter.
Really surprised that they haven't changed much after these years. I just wish there was a HFTF styled skin for Jotaro.
Edit: There is actually a HFTF skin, but I didn't know since I never played ASBR.
But there is? His original outfit from ASB (which is available as an alt in ASB:R) is the same blue and purple color scheme

HFTF will always be the best game for how technical it is.
Love heritage for the future better because it's based off Characters from hiritage of the future only 🥂🔥
Honestly that's what I like about it the most, all the characters there make sense within the context of the game, and the story up to that point, for example YoJo is there because of 'what if Alessi used Sethan on Joseph', and conveniently also rewinds the characters abilities and not their age (such as how Jotaro did not have a Stand under that effect). Capcom did plan for the Pillar Men to be playable, but that would've made no sense, since two of them are dead and Kars is in space. Well, maybe something happened in the game that caused Kars to land back on earth, he would make sense. Maybe even Pucci, since he and Dio met at around this time, but this game predates Stone Ocean by a few years. And maybe Mr. Nijimura, since he was hired by Dio.
