JJ is THE ONLY person in media holding Doc accountable and not letting him yap on about excuses and being a Yes Man, it’s what Doc’s former player SHOULD be doing
But doc was the only one that gave him that starting job. He was not starting in Orlando, only a few times. That bucks stint was okay. Yeah he could have went else were but at that time he wouldn’t have been the starter like he was on clippers and that’s for damn sure.
@@AbstractHomosapien people keep bringing this up but JJ was the perfect fit for that team (evident by the fact JJ had a career high in Points while on the Clippers) so what is JJ supposed to stay quiet because Doc DID HIS JOB and put out the best starting lineup with the team he had??? Just seems like such stupid logic to me
@AbstractHomosapien y does JJ being the starter or 6th man matter when JJ tlkn about accountability & winning..JJ could've went somewhere else n not started but won more than he did starting with Doc. Being a starter didn't make JJ a star everyone been known JJ for his shooting
@@AbstractHomosapienJJ said he had an offer to start somewhere else for similar money.
Factsss
He tried to play the "Doc gave him a chance" narrative and Jeff wasn’t havin it.
That’s real💯
real shit
Doc did, and he stood on it. The cap is getting out of control.
@@ijwilkerDoc did what!? Because JJ had multiple offers from multiple teams.
Plus, he was a starter in Orlando before the Clippers.

He's not a starter on a contender He's just not
He was also starting on Orlando or was getting significant playing time.
It factual accurate but it doesn't change that JJ career took off under Doc. Maybe he starts somewhere else, maybe he doesn't. Doc still gave him his first chance.

No he isn't he just talking
@@jfry7145 Doc is on record saying Today.
"I'm not trying to take anything away from that [Clippers] team, but that team was never going to win when you look back at it," Rivers said. "We just didn't get along well enough as a group, and you can't win without cooperation. That's the only way you can win."
Even though he was the head coach and GM at the time
Always have to look at the messenger first
This narrative that JJ wouldn’t have started anywhere else is nuts, he was a contributing player on a finals team, and is legitimately a top ten three point shooter of all time.

Idk man getting beat on defense pretty much every time doesn’t sound good to me
I’ll have you know JJ only allowed .91 points per possession when being the on ball defender during a pick and roll when the league average was .95, absolute clamps
@SweetLou428 true but your man still has to make the shot or play 🤷🏽♂️ and JJ was good in the clutch
@@antoniomartinez4948 lock down defender imo
JJ was a bust coming out of Orlando, so Austin was right. Thank the man for your career 1st, and then talk candidly. We all know Doc hasn’t done shit since 2010 but he develops talent. He’s the “setup coach”. My thing is, if Milwaukee wants a 2008 repeat, where you have stars and just need to get them over the hump, Doc isn’t that guy anymore and will be the scapegoat for spending money on Dame’s “untradeable” contract. Should’ve just rode it out with AG.
Here’s the best way to shut this argument down.
Either doc didn’t give JJ an opportunity and he would have started somewhere else or doc is a bad coach for giving a guy starting job for four years when “no one else would” lmao
Damn lol doc still fucked up either way😂😂😂😂
@@keymikescott2308 exactly, that’s why it’s not even an argument to be had. People fail to see this kinda logic often lol.
Bro started before and after and somehow this delusional talking point got people nodding their heads lol Doc fans can’t accept accountability or reality just like him😂 Doc won with four hall of famers, and still only got one ring. He’s trash
IT would make sense if he didn't go to Philly and start
The only arguments that have been made against what JJ said revolve around loyalty. What JJ said is absolutely facts
“Doc gave JJ an opportunity” and the clippers have doc an opportunity what’s your point? Respond to what JJ said not his actual career come on man this is some first take crap. Doc has flipped back and forth on whether the clippers could have won and most recently said they didn’t have a chance. So to JJs point why waste everyone’s time and your own time if you knew it was for sure not gonna be in for a slight chance at winning? If you have a problem with what JJ said it’s because you also don’t know how to hold people accountable. Generation full of fluffers man.
Shouts to Teague and pacer boy in the middle for keeping it a buck. Optimus air force need to calm down over there.
Jj was primarily a bench player in orlando LA gave him a big opportunity. Doc on the other hand won coy in orlando and had a good resume by the time he left boston those arent the same opportunities lol.

JJ and Teague right…. Simple as that
He won once with KG, P, and Ray. Only once and they had deep benches too.
JJ was absolutely right and he doesn't owe Doc anything.
Teague at the end lmaoo
JJ averaged like 17-18 as a primarily off-ball/DHO shooter and being like like 3rd/4th option. He was never used properly until the league got spaced out
It’s been super quiet 😂😂😂
JJ at one point was one of the best spot up shooters in the league. This wasn’t a Thanasis type of situation, he could be useful for any team.
He played roughly 15 seasons in the NBA and averaged 13, 2, & 2. Anyone who says he couldn’t play is lying to themselves.
He really got mismatch laces on the forces talking down to Teague like he ain’t know how the league works😂😂😂
One of the few times JJ has been spot on. Doc, like most of those 2008 Celtics, is still milking that championship.
Finally dudes keeping it real on Doc Rivers

Dr J is the only doc we need. Thanks.
They are basically saying that JJ shouldn't criticize doc Rivers because doc Rivers helped JJ. They never disputed anything that JJ said
It’s just like emotional women who get mad at the person and not the facts. Pathetic.
That dude with the shades, said what Pat Bev said.😂😂😂😂😂 instead of listening to JJ who played for Doc.😂😂😂😂😂😂
Pat bev play for the bucks and doc is his coach rn so that proves nothing 🗣️‼️
Bruh prime example of not doing research and just listening to anything he was a automatic starter wherever he went
That was a bad take by "dude in glasses." J.J would have started on atleast half the teams in the league. He may have been bad a defense, but his shooting was always very valuable.
Not true and jj admitted only one other team offered a starting role. It was between la and the bucks, jj was a bench player in orlando who couldnt defend.
I love how Teague backed him up. KEEP IT REAL!!
Everybody talks about Doc choking but he ain’t on the fucking court! How about the players choking! Hold them mfs accountable too
Exactly I live in Philly and the excuses for these players is deplorable.
He's had so many different teams lose in the same exact fashion though. He's the one constant in his career.
Yea ofc it's players fault for not executing but let's not act like doc is actually good at coaching
@@sgshumblecrumb6046exactly 💯
JJ got paid $23 million in one season by Philly. JJ’s skillset was in demand. Doc recruited him to join the Clippers. He had other suitors.
JJ was always a solid player and a great shooter... double figure scorer.. he always had a market.. pat bev on the other hand needed an opportunity because he was an oversees player that was a 2nd rounder
Anybody who thinks jj had no other options during that time is a casual... shooting was rapidly changing the league at this point and jj was one of the best most consistent to do it. Everyone knows the saying... "every team needs a shooter"
JJ was a solid NBA player. This BS that Doc saved him needs to stop.
Someone giving you an opportunity doesn't mean you can't hold them accountable tho. Truth is truth
Jj played to his full potential for first time under doc. Doesn’t mean he can’t criticize em
Facts JJ was right and no one gave JJ anything he earned it
JJ was definitely getting signed. He’s 40% from 3pt for his career.
People forget Doc won in Orlando with Tmac. That's what got him all the other jobs.
Dude saying JJ wasn’t gonna start anywhere doesn’t know ball. Just reiterating what Pat said. Why is he talking ball?
Facts. Out of all the 3-1 leads that been blown in history he has like 25 percent of them himself
JJ was a premier 3pt shooter when he was in the league, him & kyle korver were 2 guys you absolutely did not want to start catching fire cuz they will light you up all night long.
The Clippers traded a rookie for JJ, that wasn’t giving him a chance that was them securing a key piece for their team.
Teague spoke facts about jj I fuck with that
Why so many people are saying “Doc gave JJ his chance” etc means they can’t argue against JJ’s statement and are resorting to emotional shit. Like who cares if Doc helped him when he was starting out what JJ is saying is true
He shifted gears immediately when Jeff disagreed with him
People forget those celtics teams, where the only time doc’s team were really good defensively and i think a huge part of that was having thiboddeau as an assistant
Facts JJ was solid idk what basketball son was watching was solid with every team he played with doc hasn’t done shit since 08
Two thing can be true, Doc gave JJ and opportunity, and Doc makes nothing but excuses like JJ said.
What does DOC starting him have to do with what JJ said… nothing just a deflection.
What excuses kawhi chocked embib chocked that's doc fault ok
When people telling you you’re wrong and you continue to argue is crazy lol. JJ would’ve been a starter without the Clips
JJ calls it like he see don’t care who he offends and is also very smart and does his research, I love it
bro saying he saved JJ is literally coping beyond belief lmao
Lets see how JJ handles it😂
Not a single person attacked the point that doc had accountability instead they came for Jj… his take was spot on 😅
JJ was definitely wanted as a starter esp during tht time like jt said
Just because he “gave him a chance” doesn’t mean that he can’t be honest about Doc always making excuses
Bro really said JJ in his prime wasn’t gna start anywhere else 😭 people just be talkin fr
JJ played for him so he knows the stigma with Doc more than anyone.
JJ almost landed in Chicago to play with D Rose but went to LA
It’s been quiet for Spo, he won with Wade Bosh and Bron.. Doc and Boston got it done in year 1, Spo couldn’t… yet we call him one of the greatest in the league
His team been to the finals and playoffs consistently without having a legit superstar that's great coaching. What about pop when the big 3 left? Lottery team ever since if we being technical
Doc literally back doored his way back into being a head coach. It's so shameful what he and the bucks did to Adrian Griffin. It's crazy that that Doc gets another chance at being a head coach but Mark Jackson can't even get a interview 🤦🏽♂️
Rasheed Wallace doesn't like Doc Rivers either. He said he doesn't understand how he became a coach again
Doc Rivers was actually the first coach to make him a full time starter. Then four seasons later he started in Philly
JJ lasted 15 years in the league and averaged 13, 2, & 2. Regardless of what Doc did for him, JJ had a successful career, expodentially more successful than 90% of NBA players.
Doc needs to be called out. He has underachieved everywhere he has coached.
JJ is a legend in the scene for one reason. he keeps it true. he doesnt appear to be making opinions to support any narrative. love him for it.
JJ was a quality nba player anyone slandering him did not watch NBA ball at that time lol
It don’t matter if rivers gave him a starting spot that means he worked hard and dedicated to becoming a quality starter it’s not like he just handed him the job because he liked the dude
lets be real jj was never a starter, he was a role player that noone ever talked about in nba ,
You obviously just start watching ball saying that dumb shit
Jeff always keeps it 💯
People love saying they “love” something or somebody, and then immediately shit on em
Im glad somebody calls bs when somebody just says bs like Doc gave JJ an opportunity. Cant just be saying anything
You can't deny Doc helped JJ's career. What was JJ's stats without Doc. Show me.
regardless if Doc only has one chip, he still has one. the him only having 1 is an issue just shows how much people hate.... how many coaches have a chip ? rick carlisle has one, nobody talking shit about him
JJ Reddick was finna get paid and play where he wanted
It hasn’t been “quiet” he just hasn’t won another Championship but def always has contenders
Doc has had so much talent and comparatively very little success. I’d like to see the ratio of hall of fame players vs. championships. He has to be bottom
of the barrel.
JJ Reddick being "starter material" has no bearing on the validity of his criticism of Doc Rivers, NONE!
JJ started for more years in the NBA than the average NBA player lasts in the league.
Man said it, "it's been fucking quiet"
Glad to see NBA players saying this. Been saying this for the past years or so, and especially after the 76ers job. Doc underachieved with that Clippers team and that 76ers team. Cool, he won a ship with Celtics. That team was loaded, but when the league caught up, he's been real quiet
Teague knows so much ball it’s refreshing
I love how both the players acknowledged that JJ is a starter anywhere
The clippers might not have been the only team that wanted him but that team made his name a household name everybody knew the clippers team even casuals
The last statement was probably the most powerful lol
Regardless of if Doc gave JJ and opportunity or not, the fact is JJ is right, no one holds Doc accountable.
